Westbrook-Ikhine will get looks

There were three backs that went down with injury last week. It is never good time for a back to get hurt but this late in the year can be a killer for those teams, especially if they are trying to secure a playoff spot. And unfortunately, nearly all the backups of these players (Jamaal Williams, Chubba Hubbard and Alexander Mattison) are already on fantasy rosters. There are available in a few leagues, so if that is the case, go grab them. If not, you might have to consider some other options that made this list. Good luck!

QUARTERBACK

Taysom Hill, Saints. Hill is finally healthy and expected to take over the starting duties at quarterback for the Saints with the offense struggling in recent weeks. Hill has big fantasy potential in a starting role because of his ability to make plays with his legs. He was a legit low-end No. 1 fantasy quarterback last year when starting. So if you need a quarterback, go grab him. He is available in 83 percent of leagues.

Tyrod Taylor, Texans. Taylor has multiple touchdowns two straight games and has become viable streaming option for fantasy teams. He has some weekly potential because of his ability make plays with his legs. He has 23-plus rushing yards three straight games. If you need a streamer at quarterback, consider Taylor as an option.

RUNNING BACK

Matt Breida, Bills. Breida is getting more and more work in the Bills offense. He was the No. 2 back last week with Zack Moss a healthy scratch. Breida responded with his second touchdown in three games. He had 11 touches for 55 total yards and a score in Week 12. Breida should be getting around double-digit carries each week going forward. He is a decent add for running back needy teams.

Dontrell Hilliard, Titans. Hilliard didn’t start last week but still had a 100-yard performance, showing some big-play ability. He led the Titans in rushing, running 12 times for 131 yards and a touchdown. He has 215 total yards his last two games. Hilliard is going to be a part of this offense the rest of the way and is available in 51 percent of leagues.

D’Onta Foreman, Titans. Foreman started and had the most carries for the Titans at running back. He also had his best game of the season, running 19 times for 109 yards. He looks to be the lead back right now and has double-digit carries two of three games. Foreman is available in 41 percent of leagues.

Tevin Coleman, Jets. Coleman was the featured back for the Jets last week with Michael Carter out of the lineup. Coleman ran 16 times for 67 yards and caught two passes for three yards. As long as Carter is out, Coleman should handle most of the carries at running back for the Jets. He isn’t the most exciting fantasy option, but could help in the flex spot the next few weeks. Coleman is available in 75 percent of leagues.

Boston Scott, Eagles. Jordan Howard is hurt and Miles Sanders suffered an ankle injury in the second half last week. This leaves Scott as the possible last man standing for the Eagles. Scott led the team in carries in Week 12, rushing 15 times for 64 yards. He has double-digit carries four of five games. He is getting some consistent work and has double-digit fantasy points in three of those games. Scott is available in 57 percent of leagues.

RECEIVER

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Titans. The Titans are a mess at receiver and Westbrook-Ikhine might be the most reliable target for fantasy teams right now. He had a touchdown last week and a 100-yard performance the previous week. He has some fantasy value as long as the Titans remains beat up at receiver.

Josh Reynolds, Lions. Reynolds has been on the field often since his arrival with the Lions. Last week was his first time producing, catching three passes for 70 yards and a touchdown. He is familiar with quarterback Jared Goff and could be a top target for him the rest of the way. He is worth a speculative add for receiver needy teams.

TIGHT END

Jack Doyle, Colts. Doyle has touchdowns three of five games. And he had his best reception and yardage total last week. He caught six passes for 81 yards and a touchdown on seven targets. He can be a little hit or miss but certainly has some big-game potential in this offense, making him a streaming option for fantasy teams.
