Free-agent WR Davante Adams (Jets) officially signed a two-year contract reportedly worth $46 million with the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday, March 13.
Fantasy Spin: Adams may have just turned 32 years old in December, but it is safe to say he hasn't lost much of a step. He is the caliber of receiver that should be considered at least on par with Puka Nacua in terms of the pecking order in the passing game, which is great for the Rams but could keep both receivers from being consistent WR1s in fantasy. Assuming he stays healthy again in 2025, Adams should be considered a strong WR2 option in fantasy.

Dynasty | The Rams have signed wide receiver Davante Adams to a two-year deal. Dynasty Analysis: The former Fresno State star got his first real taste of free agency after being let go by the Jets and was rumored to want to stay on the West Coast. This landing spot fits the bill as he's now call Los Angeles his home for the foreseeable future. Adams showed he still has a lot of juice left as he posted an 85/1,063/8 season between the Raiders and Jets last year, his fifth straight 1,000-yard campaign. He may find the sledding a little tougher in LA as this will be the first time he's clearly the WR2 on his own team as Puka Nacua is going to be the clear-cut top option in the offense. Adams should be able to post WR2 numbers if he remains healthy but it really does look like his days as an elite-level WR1 are all but over.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, former New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams is signing a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams. The contract is worth up to $46 million, with $26 million guaranteed. Wow. Adams is coming off an up-and-down season that started in Las Vegas but ended in New York with the Jets after a mid-October trade that reunited him with long-time teammate and quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The sentiment was that the veteran wideout would follow Rodgers to his new destination; however, it appears the Rams got to him first. It's excellent timing for LA, who is preparing to move on from star WR Cooper Kupp. Adams will now line up across from Puka Nacua, spelling a formidable duo for any defensive backfield to run with. With the news that Matthew Stafford is returning to the team, too, the Rams' offense just got a whole lot more interesting for 2025.

Free-agent WR Davante Adams (Jets) agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Rams Sunday, March 9, worth $46 million, according to sources. The deal includes $26 million in guaranteed money.
Fantasy Spin: Adams probably will replace Cooper Kupp in the offense and will be a terrific duo along with Puka Nacua in the passing game. He should be a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues next season.

Dynasty | The Jets have released wide receiver Davante Adams. Dynasty Analysis: This was always the most likely scenario after the Jets decided to move on from Aaron Rodgers. Adams will immediately become the best receiver on the open market and will have control over choosing who he'll play for next season. He's rumored to be interested in playing on the West Coast, with teams like the 49ers, Rams, and Chargers on his list. He'll also likely wait to see just what happens with Aaron Rodgers before making a choice. He's still a productive player and should still be a WR1/2 next season, regardless of where he lands and his dynasty value shouldn't crater too much with this move. On the plus side, you may be able to return those Davante Adams Jets jerseys.
Updating a previous report, New York Jets WR Davante Adams was released on Tuesday, March 4.
Fantasy Spin: This was always the most likely scenario considering he was set to count at least $35 million against the cap. His release will free up almost $30 million on the cap for the Jets, who were apparently unable to find another team to take on his salary for a Day 3 pick. Adams is unlikely to be out of work for long and will likely find his new home once Aaron Rodgers decides on his new employer. Adams is still more than capable of being a solid fantasy WR1 wherever he lands, although he is now more of a low-end WR1 at age 32.

The New York Jets are releasing wide receiver Davante Adams on Tuesday, a source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter. Just several days ago, the Jets announced they were open to trading Adams, but everyone knew the most likely outcome was that they'd cut the 32-year-old wideout after deciding that they were moving on from quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The three-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowler caught 67 of 114 targets for 854 yards and seven touchdowns from Rodgers in his 11 starts with the Jets, ultimately recording his fifth straight 1,000-yard campaign in 2024 -- he had 209 receiving yards in three games with Vegas before being traded. Adams' best bet for continued high-end fantasy production could be to follow Rodgers wherever he goes, but the future Hall of Fame QB may not be guaranteed a starting gig anywhere. By cutting Adams, the Jets will incur a $38.2 million salary cap hit in 2025.
From RotoBaller
The New York Jets are taking calls on star wide receiver Davante Adams and are open to trading him before the start of the new league year on March 12, sources tell NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Given Adams' $38.2 million salary cap number for the 2025 season, it comes as no surprise. If the Jets can't find any takers for Adams, they are expected to release him. If the 32-year-old veteran becomes a free agent, he could follow quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is expected to be cut by the Jets soon, for the third time in their careers. The Jets acquired Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders last October and the three-time All-Pro caught 67 of 114 targets for 854 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 starts. Although the Jets were a big disappointment and missed the playoffs, Adams had his fifth straight 1,000-yard season. His 2025 fantasy value will depend on where he ends up.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets WR Davante Adams has been made available to teams in a trade, and Jets are receiving calls about Adams, according to sources. Adams is expected to be released if they are not able to find a trade.
Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players should monitor the situation to see if a team decides to acquire Adams or if teams will wait until he hits the free-agent market. He is still a productive receiver and will be a starter no matter where he plays. Adams likely will be a weekly starting option in fantasy leagues in 2025.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers, who is expected to be released at some point this offseason, reportedly prefers to sign with the Los Angeles Rams if Matthew Stafford is traded, according to multiple sources. Furthermore, multiple sources suggest Rodgers could convince WR Davante Adams, who is scheduled to count $38.34 million against New York's salary cap in 2025, to join him with the Rams in the likely event Adams is released.
Fantasy Spin: There is a lot to digest here, although it depends entirely on Stafford getting traded. It was reported about a week ago that Rodgers would be a fallback option for the Rams if they get a haul they like in return for their quarterback, but it sounds like the interest between Rodgers and the team is mutual. Perhaps the bigger news from a fantasy perspective is the potential inclusion of Adams, who would probably make Puka Nacua a less attractive fantasy asset in a Rodgers-led offense. Rodgers' days for vying for league MVP honors are long gone, but he could still be a decent fantasy QB2 option in a Sean McVay-led offense.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets WR Davante Adams, San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel and Chicago Bears WR Keenan Allen are all players the Arizona Cardinals could target if they become available this offseason, according to Dan Graziano of ESPN.
From TheHuddle
The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt writes that New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams is unlikely to want to return in 2025 with the team parting ways with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and Adams' contract is structured in a way that would give him the power to ultimately force his release. Adams has a $38.25 million salary cap hit in 2025, although none of his $35.6 million salary is guaranteed. The expectation is that New York will cut or trade Adams and save $29.8 million in cap space while taking on $8.3 million in dead money. It's unclear where the 32-year-old veteran will end up, but it's possible he'll follow Rodgers to another team if Rodgers doesn't retire. Although the Jets couldn't turn things around after trading for Adams, he ended up finishing with his fifth straight 1,000-yard season despite playing in only 14 regular-season games.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets WR Davante Adams would be open to signing with the Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers if he is released by the Jets this offseason, according to ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler.
Fantasy Spin: It seems like there is a good chance that the Jets do not bring Adams back next season, so he likely will receive interest from several teams. He should be one of the main targets in the passing game wherever to plays in 2025 and will be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the New York Jets could move on from wide receiver Davante Adams. Rapoport noted that with the Jets and Aaron Rodgers expected to part ways, the team is unlikely to keep his longtime receiver on the roster as well. The Jets traded for Adams prior to their Week 8 tilt against the Pittsburgh Steelers. During his time with the Jets, Adams averaged a strong 77.6 yards per game with seven touchdowns. He saw 10.4 targets per game and brought in 6.1 passes per game. Despite the Jets falling short of expectations, Adams posted his fifth-straight 1,000-yard campaign. Even though Adams will be entering his age-32 campaign, he should still be viewed as a solid WR2 heading into the 2025 campaign, even if he is playing for a new team.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets WR Davante Adams may be a cut candidate this offseason because of his salary cap number, and the team's decision not to bring QB Aaron Rodgers back, according to sources.
Fantasy Spin: It seems like Adams will be looking for a new team this offseason, so fantasy players should keep an eye on his situation. He has been linked to a few West Coast teams if he became available and could also look to join Aaron Rodgers with a new team. Adams is still a productive receiver and will be a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues no matter where he plays.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets WR Davante Adams has not talked with the team since they have hired general manager Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn. It is not known if Adams will be playing for the Jets next season.
Fantasy Spin: Adams' future with the Jets should become clear over the next few weeks, so fantasy players should monitor the situation. He is still one of the better receivers in the NFL and will be a weekly starting option in all leagues no matter where he plays in 2025.
From TheHuddle
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler writes that New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams is intrigued by a potential return to the West Coast and would be open to joining the Los Angeles Chargers or Los Angeles Rams if he gets released this offseason. Fowler also puts the San Francisco 49ers in the conversation, as Adams grew up in Northern California. The Jets are going to need to address Adams' situation, as his $38.3 million salary cap hit is untenable. The three-time All-Pro wideout had 854 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games after the Jets acquired him from the Las Vegas Raiders last year, but his addition failed to turn the Jets offense around as a whole, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers may not play out his contract in New York. Adams still managed his fifth straight 1,000-yard season and would be an intriguing addition for the Chargers, Rams or 49ers.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets WR Davante Adams is open to remain with the Jets next season even if QB Aaron Rodgers is not on the team.
Fantasy Spin: Adams played very well after joining the Jets but may not stay with the team this offseason. Fantasy players should monitor the situation because Adams will be a starter no matter where he signs and likely will be a weekly fantasy option in all leagues.
From TheHuddle
New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams caught six of his 12 targets for 88 yards and a touchdown in a 32-20 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 18. Adams wrapped up his 2024 season with six touchdown grabs over his final six games, giving him eight total TDs on the season. The veteran wideout came over to the Jets at the trade deadline but New York wound up being one of the more disappointing teams in the NFL this season, winning just five games while some cracks in the relationship between Aaron Rodgers and the organization appeared. Adams has stated that he wants to continue to play with Rodgers, so if the team decides to move on from the quarterback, Adams could be on his way out of town as well. Adams is still under contract for two more seasons but he has huge cap hits in each of the next two years and could probably leverage his way out of town if he refuses to renegotiate his deal. Regardless of where he is playing next season, Adams has proven that he can still be a No. 1 receiver in real life and fantasy even at age 32.
From RotoBaller
New York Jets WR Davante Adams caught six of his 12 targets for 88 yards and a touchdown in a 32-20 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 18, and he topped 1,000 receiving yards for the season.
