The San Francisco 49ers tendered restricted free-agent wide receiver Jauan Jennings at the second-round level on Monday. Jennings is set to make $4.89 million on the tender for the 2024 season, and the sides can now continue to negotiate a multi-year extension. Any other NFL team that signs Jennings to an offer sheet that the 49ers decide to match must part ways with a second-round draft pick. It means that Jennings is going to stay with the 49ers in 2024, unless he's traded. The 26-year-old pass-catcher had a career-low 19 receptions on 33 targets for 265 yards and only one touchdown in 13 regular-season games (two starts) for San Fran in his third year in the league in 2023. Although he caught a touchdown and threw for a TD in the Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs, Jennings is unlikely to produce much in 2024 for a loaded Niners offense.

If a few things had worked out differently on Sunday in the 25-22 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings would have been in the Super Bowl LVIII MVP conversation. The third-year wideout caught four of five targets for 42 yards, including a gigantic 10-yard touchdown reception to give San Francisco the lead early in the fourth quarter. Earlier, in one of the greatest trick plays in Super Bowl history, Jennings took an overhand lateral from quarterback Brock Purdy and launched a pass, all the way back across the field as he was hit, to a waiting Christian McCaffrey for a 21-yard touchdown scamper. Whatever the reason the 49ers couldn't get it done in this one, Jennings himself certainly can't be blamed after the inspired performance. After spending his career to this point as no more than a role player, Jennings will be a restricted free agent this summer and likely be off the fantasy map to start the 2024 season whether he leaves San Francisco or not.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings didn't see many passes thrown his way in 2023 but played a key role in the team's 24-21 comeback Divisional Round victory over the Green Bay Packers in Santa Clara on Saturday night. Jennings saw his involvement increase early in the game when Deebo Samuel (shoulder) left the game and could not return. The former seventh-round pick and role player caught five of six targets for 61 yards and handled one rushing attempt for minus-one yard. He'll be in play as a cheap DFS option in next Sunday's NFC Championship Game if Samuel can't go, but otherwise, he cannot be relied upon to produce.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of the Week 18 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. As expected, Jennings will sit this game out which will make it his third in a row. To be fair, the 49ers don't have much incentive to play any of their starters with their postseason spot locked up. The hope is that Jennings will be ready in time for the postseason, but he hasn't contributed much on offense this season anyway.

Jan 6 12:30pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receivers Ray-Ray McCloud III (rib), Jauan Jennings (concussion) and Danny Gray (shoulder) are all questionable to play in the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. Both the 49ers and Rams will be rested a lot of their regulars in this meaningless contest, so all three of McCloud, Jennings and Gray could see substantial offensive snaps on Sunday if they are active. The Niners will have to activate McCloud from Injured Reserve if they want him playing this weekend. The 27-year-old hasn't been active since Week 12. McCloud mostly works on special teams. Jennings has missed the last two games and has served as the No. 3 behind Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk for most of the year. Jennings would have the most appeal as a bargain-bin deep DFS sleeper this weekend if he's active, but fantasy managers would probably be wise to avoid San Fran's offense altogether this week.

Jan 4 10:50pm ET

For the second straight day this week, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (concussion) was limited in practice on Thursday. Jennings has missed the last two games due to his concussion. He's making progress with his head injury but has yet to be fully cleared from the league's concussion protocol, and the 49ers aren't going to rush any of their injured players back this weekend for the Week 18 regular season finale against the Los Angeles Rams with the No. 1 seed in the NFC already locked up. Even if the 26-year-old gets the green light to play this weekend, he'll be taking passes from quarterback Sam Darnold, who will be making his first start of the year. Although Jennings is going to cost next to nothing in DFS, there's a slim chance he pays off for fantasy managers in Week 18. After all, he has only 19 receptions for 265 yards and one touchdown all year.

Jan 4 12:50am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (concussion) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. Jennings hadn't practiced in any capacity since suffering a concussion in Week 14 against the Arizona Cardinals. So, his limited practice to start the week is a good sign for his availability in Week 18 against the Los Angeles Rams. However, it remains to be seen how the 49ers plan to attack this weekend. With the team already locked into the top spot in the NFC, several key players like Brock Purdy (rest) and Christian McCaffrey (calf) have already been ruled out. With Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk possibly seeing limited snaps as well, Jennings could see a bigger role if active in Week 18.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (concussion) missed practice this week and has officially been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Washington Commanders. The 26-year-old will miss his third game of the season, including his second in a row. Ronnie Bell and Chris Conley should see increased opportunities in the passing attack, though neither of them warrants any fantasy consideration.

Dec 27 11:00pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (concussion) didn't take part in the team's walkthrough practice on Wednesday. Jennings suffered a concussion in the Week 15 win over the Arizona Cardinals and didn't play in Monday night's loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas. The 26-year-old has reportedly been making progress but has yet to clear the league's concussion protocols and could very well be forced to miss his second straight game in Week 17 versus the Washington Commanders. Even if Jennings gets the green light to play this Sunday, he won't be a consideration for starting fantasy lineups, even in a great matchup. He has a total of 19 catches this year on 33 targets for 265 yards and only one touchdown in 13 games played.

Dec 23 9:00pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of the Week 16 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. As expected, Jennings will sit out after not being able to clear concussion protocol. His absence won't be a huge blow to the 49ers offense. Jennings has been on the field quite a bit this season, but doesn't usually make a big impact. The expectation is that Ronnie Bell will see increased snaps with Jennings sidelined. Fantasy managers shouldn't bother streaming Bell in this one.

Dec 22 10:00pm ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (concussion) remained on the sideline during Friday's practice session. He has not practiced this week as he remains in concussion protocol ahead of the Week 16 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Jennings has been on the field quite a bit this season, but hasn't made much of an impact. He has seven catches on 12 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in his last six games. His absence would likely mean more run for Ronnie Bell or some other players further on the depth chart.

Dec 22 2:00am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (concussion) and tight end Ross Dwelley (ankle) were both held out of practice on Thursday. Jennings' status is seriously up in the air for Monday's Christmas night game against the Baltimore Ravens after he suffered a concussion in the Week 15 win over the Arizona Cardinals. The 26-year-old does have two more days to get back to practice, but it wouldn't be a surprise if he's held out in Week 16. If he can't clear the concussion protocols, rookie Ronnie Bell and Chris Conley would battle for the No. 3 receiver job in San Fran behind Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. Dwelley is completely off the fantasy radar as the team's third-string TE. He's also missed the last two games and is on track to miss another.

From RotoBaller

Dec 4 3:30am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings had his most productive offensive day this season in the team's 42-19 dismantling of the Eagles in Philadelphia. The former seventh-rounder finished the day with three catches on four targets for 44 yards and a touchdown. That's about as good as it's going to get as long as San Francisco's other pass-catchers are healthy. If Jennings becomes a starting option in fantasy, then something has gone terribly wrong in San Francisco. It was nice to see the role-player get a well-deserved touchdown, but he can be ignored in Week 14 a home game versus the Seattle Seahawks.

Oct 30 12:00am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings was not targeted in the team's 31-17 home loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. In Week 7 with Deebo Samuel (shoulder) out, Jennings had a career-high nine targets, leading some intrepid deep-league fantasy managers to make waiver claims hoping that Jennings was becoming a thing. It shouldn't be a surprise though, that Jennings was uninvolved in the passing game as he's never been fantasy-relevant throughout his nearly 40-game NFL career. Samuel is likely to return in Week 10 following the 49ers' bye but even if he doesn't, Jennings will not be a good option.

From RotoBaller

Oct 28 4:50am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings may be worth a gamble in 12-team leagues this Sunday when the team faces the Cincinnati Bengals at home. In Week 7 at Minnesota, Jennings paced the 49ers with a career-high nine targets which he turned into five catches for 54 yards receiving. With starting wide receiver Deebo Samuel out with a shoulder fracture, Jennings led San Francisco in targets. Samuel will be out again in Week 8, providing an opportunity for Jennings to continue his increased involvement. On most other teams, these circumstances would elevate Jennings to WR2/3 status, but San Francisco's loaded offense throws a wet blanket on Jennings' outlook. In his three-year career with the 49ers, Jennings has cracked 10 fantasy points just twice and hadn't eclipsed seven targets in 38 career games before last Monday night. He's a shaky flex play and depending on league size, there are probably better options.

Oct 24 2:13pm ET

Dynasty | Jauan Jennings had five catches on nine targets for 54 yards against the Vikings. Dynasty Analysis: Jennings led the 49ers in targets on Monday Night Football, filling in for an injured Deebo Samuel. He has at least one more week of opportunity, with Deebo already ruled out for next week's game. While Jennings may not have the upside of other receivers potentially on dynasty waiver wires, he certainly has a decent floor and could be valuable for contenders needing to fill holes. He's likely a short term roster replacement.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Oct 24 2:40am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings was targeted a career- and team-high nine times in Monday night's 22-17 loss to the Vikings in Minnesota. Jennings, 26, has spent his three-year NFL career no higher than WR3 on the 49ers' depth chart and has broken 10 fantasy points just twice. He hauled in five passes for 54 yards this week filling in for Deebo Samuel (shoulder). Samuel is expected to remain out for at least another game so Jennings will draw another start in Week 8 against Cincinnati in Santa Clara. Based on tonight's involvement, Jennings will pique a bit of waiver interest in deep leagues but shouldn't be prioritized unless throwing a dart on a one-week flex play, given his substantial history as a bit player, lack of pedigree, and the probable return of Samuel in Week 10 after the bye.

From RotoBaller

Oct 22 3:00am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings could see some involvement in the team's passing game when they go to Minnesota to take on the Vikings on Monday night. With starting wide receiver Deebo Samuel (shoulder) ruled out this week, Jennings could see more work than usual but expectations should be tempered. Last week with Samuel out for most of the game, Jennings had just four targets for two catches totaling 26 yards. In his 37-game NFL career, Jennings has gone over 10 fantasy points just twice. With Brandon Aiyuk out in Week 4, Jennings still only saw three targets. Up to this point, it seems that 49ers playcallers and quarterbacks have preferred to lean on options other than Jennings even when they're down a receiver. Jennings is a mere WR4/5 in this one.

From RotoBaller

Oct 16 12:10am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings garnered some increased snaps after Deebo Samuel left the game Sunday with a shoulder injury. In the 19-17 road loss to the Cleveland Browns, Jennings caught two of his four targets for 26 yards. While four targets are nothing to write home about, it does represent the second-highest total 49ers total in the game, and Jennings' largest total of 2023. Jennings would probably need both Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk to be absent for any fantasy viability, as evidenced by the modest production on Sunday and in Week 3, which Aiyuk missed but Jennings was still only targeted three times. Jennings will be off the fantasy radar in Week 7 at Minnesota, even if Samuel can't play.

From RotoBaller

Oct 7 2:20am ET

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (shin) practiced in full on Friday and will play against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. Jennings, who missed Week 4 against Arizona, caught two of three targets for 31 yards in Week 3 versus the Giants. The 49ers have not shown themselves to be the type of offense that can provide fantasy production from three receivers. With receivers Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk healthy this week, Jennings is not worth starting.
