Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross is a healthy scratch for Sunday's Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers. The 24-year-old rookie returned from suspension to play in 10 regular-season and two playoff games this year. He hasn't caught a pass since Week 18 and ultimately finished his rookie campaign with just six receptions for 53 yards. Ross joins Kadarius Toney (coach's decision) on the bench Sunday, leaving Rashee Rice, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Mecole Hardman Jr., and Justin Watson as the Chiefs' top active wide receivers.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers Kadarius Toney (ankle, hip) and Justyn Ross (hamstring) were both limited in practice all week and are questionable to play on Sunday versus the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round of the postseason. Regardless of whether Toney is able to play this weekend, the fact remains that he hasn't played since Week 15 and wasn't on the fantasy radar to begin with before his injuries. The 24-year-old had only 27 receptions (38 targets) for 169 yards and one touchdown through the air in his first full season with the Chiefs. Ross, meanwhile, injured his hamstring in Week 18 and didn't play in last week's wild-card win over the Miami Dolphins. He, too, should be avoided in DFS if he's active, as he had just six catches for 53 yards and no TDs during the regular season.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers Kadarius Toney (ankle, hip) and Justyn Ross (hamstring) were both listed as limited for the team's first practice of the week on Wednesday. Toney was limited in practice last week but did not play in the wild-card victory over the Miami Dolphins. The 24-year-old has not been active since Week 15, so even if he's able to return to face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in the Divisional Round, it's likely that he won't see much time on the field as a legitimate offensive threat for the Chiefs. Ross injured his hamstring in the Week 18 regular season finale and was also inactive this past Saturday night. Even more so than Toney, Ross will be off the DFS radar if he's active against Buffalo. The 24-year-old pass-catcher only had six receptions for 53 yards during the regular season.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers Kadarius Toney (ankle, hip) and Justyn Ross (hamstring) have been ruled out ahead of Saturday's playoff matchup against the Miami Dolphins. This news doesn't come as much of a shock considering both players were listed as questionable heading into this game. Toney has missed the last three games, while Ross has barely been involved in the offense all season long. The expectation is that wideout Rashee Rice and tight end Travis Kelce will be the primary pass-catching weapons for this offense. Also, Richie James and Mecole Hardman could see more involvement, but they wouldn't be recommended DFS options.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers Kadarius Toney (ankle, hip) and Justyn Ross (hamstring) were both listed as questionable for Saturday's wild-card playoff game against the visiting Miami Dolphins. Toney was limited in practice all week, while Ross was limited on Wednesday and Thursday. With rookie Rashee Rice (hamstring) returning this weekend, it's hard to get behind any of KC's other pass-catchers despite an excellent matchup against the banged-up Dolphins defense. Toney missed the team's last three regular season games. He's trending up toward a return to face Miami, but we'd be surprised if the oft-injured Toney was a big part of the Chiefs' offense in this one. If active, the 24-year-old Ross probably won't see the field all that much. He had only six receptions for 53 yards and no scores in 10 games in 2023.

Dec 31 1:30pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers Justyn Ross and Richie James should both see extended roles over the next few weeks, according to Jonathan Jones of NFL on CBS. To spark their stagnant offense, Jones said the Chiefs will look to get the second-year wideout Ross and veteran James some more targets. Neither player has made much, if any, impact this season from a fantasy perspective but Kansas City is looking for more options behind stalwart Travis Kelce and emerging rookie Rashee Rice. There's not much actionable season-long fantasy advice here but Ross and James could both serve as cheap DFS options over the next few weeks.

Dec 15 6:50pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross returned to practice this week after serving a six-game suspension. Ross was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery and misdemeanor property damage. He is eligible to return for the Week 15 matchup against the New England Patriots. Ross was able to get through three full practice sessions this week. Despite that, the Chiefs have him listed as doubtful for Sunday's game. It sounds like the Chiefs don't feel that Ross is quite ready to take the field again. If he plays, Ross would be a risky fantasy option given the fact he hasn't played since October.

Dec 8 4:40pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross is being suspended six games for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Ross allegedly pushed his girlfriend and damaged her vehicle, and while charges were dropped, the league still decided to take action. The 23-year-old has spent the last month-plus on the exempt list and his suspension will be enacted retroactive to that previous transaction. As a result, he'll miss just one more game (Week 14 versus Buffalo) and can rejoin the team next Monday. It's unlikely he'll carve out a role and have any fantasy relevance over the rest of the season.

Dynasty | Justyn Ross is back with the team and will practice on Wednesday Dynasty Analysis: The team is still collecting details on the event that led Ross to be arrested on Monday. He pleaded not guilty to domestic battery and property damage and this will play out into the end of the season, with a possible suspension should he be found guilty. It's a bad look for the second-year receiver who has been trending higher of late. The event could add further distraction for Ross or lead to a refocus on his game and 2023 potential. Listed as DLF's WR101, Ross' dynasty fortune could turn either way in the coming months.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross has been charged with domestic battery and criminal property damage, according to Sam McDowell and Jesse Newell of the Kansas City Star. The second-year wideout was arrested, released, and has now been charged. He has a court date set for December. This is not a good situation and it will certainly take some time for all of the details to get sorted out. Ross has just three catches for 34 yards on the season so he was a drop candidate in fantasy football before these legal troubles popped up.

Oct 24 12:20pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross is facing a felony charge of criminal damage of more than $1,000 but less than $25,000 after he was arrested on Monday in Shawnee, Kansas, according to a booking report from the sheriff's office in Johnson County, Kansas. The Chiefs are aware of Ross' arrest but had no comment. The 23-year-old second-year wideout missed all of his rookie year in 2022 due to injuries. He's played in all seven games so far this year but has just three catches for 34 yards and is well off the fantasy radar, especially after this off-the-field incident. Ross fell further down KC's receiver depth chart this week when the team acquired Mecole Hardman Jr. from the New York Jets in a trade.

Dynasty | Justyn Ross was arrested on Monday and faces a felony charge of criminal damage Dynasty Analysis: He remains in custody and has a court date on Tuesday. Few details are available but it sounds serious and should know more soon. The sophomore has been percolating higher since the offseason with the Chiefs needing improved receiver play. While he's only reeled in 3-of-6 targets as a receiver, his snaps have been on the rise of late. It's unclear at this time how his arrest will impact his standing with the team or if suspension will follow. Justyn Ross is listed as DLF's WR101.
