Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. had nine carries for 25 yards and a lost fumble along with three receptions for 10 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Robinson once again operated as the lead rusher for Washington in Week 18. Unfortunately, the Commanders fell behind quickly and didn't have a game script that favored the run game. However, Robinson did save his day with a touchdown reception early in the second quarter, Washington's only touchdown of the game. With the offseason ahead, the hope is that the Commanders can help their weapons by creating a better environment for offensive success than the one seen this year.

After looking solid in his return from injury, Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. will aim for a strong performance to close out his second NFL season. This week, the Commanders are taking on the Dallas Cowboys. While that isn't a great matchup for Washington, Dallas hasn't been the best at stopping the run, especially in recent weeks. Considering Robinson looked pretty good against a strong San Francisco 49ers run defense last week, there is a chance that he has a decent game against the Cowboys. The second-year pro is a low-end RB2 with upside in Week 18.

Dec 31 5:00pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. had nine carries for 44 yards along with four receptions for 32 yards during Sunday's loss to the San Francisco 49ers. After missing his last two games due to a hamstring injury, Robinson returned to action and led Washington's backfield in rushing. Although it wasn't a massive total, the second-year back made the most of his opportunities as he ran efficiently against a tough San Francisco run defense. With an upcoming matchup against the division rival Dallas Cowboys, Robinson will aim to end his second season on a high note in Week 18.

Dec 29 1:50pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) doesn't have an injury designation for Week 17 and has been cleared to return this Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. The 24-year-old was injured in Week 13, had the Week 14 bye to rest and then missed Weeks 15 and 16. In his absence, rookie Chris Rodriguez Jr. (ankle) and pass-catching specialist Antonio Gibson split Washington's backfield. Rodriguez is now on Injured Reserve and will miss the final two regular season games, allowing Robinson to return to his early-down role for the Commanders. However, Robinson has a terrible matchup in his return against San Francisco's defense and could be eased back into a full-time role this weekend. B-Rob will be more of a volatile RB3/flex for fantasy managers in championship week.

Dec 28 10:20pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) had his repetitions limited for the second straight day on Thursday in practice. It's good news for Robinson, who hasn't played since getting hurt in Week 13 (the team had its bye in Week 14). If the 24-year-old can get back to a full practice on Friday, he'll be a good bet to return to Washington's backfield for the second-to-last game of the regular season in Week 17 against the San Francisco 49ers. The Commanders put rookie Chris Rodriguez Jr. (ankle) on Injured Reserve on Thursday, so B-Rob should have a pretty substantial role right away on early downs if he's able to return this Sunday. But this isn't the type of matchup fantasy managers would like to deploy a player returning from a multi-week injury.

From RotoBaller

Dec 27 6:20pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) returned to practice on Wednesday and put in a limited session. Robinson has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury but could be trending toward returning for a Week 17 contest versus the visiting San Francisco 49ers. Rookie Chris Rodriguez Jr. (ankle) also did not practice on Wednesday, so Washington's backfield is somewhat in flux heading into a brutal matchup this weekend. If B-Rob does get in more practice later this week and is cleared to play, he'll be in danger of losing valuable backfield touches to Gibson or Rodriguez (if he plays). At best, B-Rob might profile as an RB3/flex for fantasy managers in a shy-away matchup.

Dec 22 1:10pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 16 versus the New York Jets. For the second week in a row, he'll be sidelined, leaving many managers without a reliable RB2 option for the fantasy playoffs. Presumably, Antonio Gibson will start in Robinson's place this week, ranking as a modest RB3. During last Sunday's tough loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Gibson rushed just four times but played a key passing-game role with five receptions. The Commanders should also get contributions from Chris Rodriguez, who amassed 35 yards on 10 carries in Week 15.

Dec 21 11:20pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) and Jonathan Williams (concussion) both missed practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday. Robinson also missed the Week 15 loss to the Los Angeles Rams and is now trending toward missing his second straight contest. Fantasy managers banking on B-Rob being active in Week 16 better have an insurance policy handy in case he doesn't return to practice on Friday and is ruled out. Antonio Gibson had only four carries for 15 yards against the Rams but did catch all five of his targets for 20 yards, with rookie Chris Rodriguez Jr. handling most of the early-down work. If Robinson misses another game, Gibson will probably be an RB3/flex with minimal upside, although the Jets defense hasn't been very strong against opposing RBs in fantasy, especially in the last five weeks.

Dec 20 2:30pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) did not take part in practice on Wednesday leading up to the Week 16 contest against the New York Jets. Robinson suffered a hamstring injury in Week 13, causing him to miss the Week 15 contest against the Los Angeles Rams after the team's bye. It's unfortunate timing for fantasy managers, as Robinson has been spectacular at times this season. If he can't play in Week 16, Antonio Gibson and rookie Chris Rodriguez Jr. will share backfield opportunities. The Jets have surrendered the seventh-most fantasy points to running backs this year, so both players would have flex appeal in the second round of the fantasy football playoffs.

Dec 15 1:00pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 15 against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday after missing practice all week. It's even more concerning for fantasy managers that Robinson wasn't able to practice all week, considering the Commanders had all of last week off while on bye. The 24-year-old should now officially be moved to the bench in all fantasy leagues. With B-Rob out of the picture in Week 15 against the Rams, Antonio Gibson will have RB2 upside given the boost in volume in Washington's backfield, especially in leagues that count points for receptions. Rookie Chris Rodriguez Jr. will also step into an expanded role as more of an early-down option for the Commanders.

Dec 14 7:20pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) was unable to practice with the team for the second straight day on Thursday. Robinson was doing stuff on the side with trainers on Thursday instead. If he can return to practice on Friday, the Commanders probably won't rule him out for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams. However, the 24-year-old could at the least be a game-time decision in the late window of Sunday's games, making him a risky fantasy lineup option in Week 15. Remember, the Commanders are coming out of their bye week as well, so B-Rob had all of last week to rehab. If he's limited or out against the Rams, Antonio Gibson would become a much more attractive RB3/flex with RB2 upside, with rookie Chris Rodriguez Jr. also stepping into more touches.

From RotoBaller

Dec 13 3:50pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) did not practice with the rest of the team on Wednesday. Robinson tweaked his hamstring in Week 13 and had the bye to rest last week, so it's not a particularly great sign that he's not able to practice coming off the bye and heading into a Week 15 game against the Los Angeles Rams. B-Rob still has two more chances to practice on Thursday and Friday, but if he has to sit out in Week 15, Antonio Gibson will be a pretty attractive plug-and-play fantasy option as an RB2 with upside, especially in PPR formats. Rookie Chris Rodriguez Jr. would also see an expanded role in Washington's backfield. Gibson had a season-high 10 carries for 35 yards and caught four passes for 37 yards in the last game when Robinson was injured.

Dec 3 3:00pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. He had seven rushes for 53 yards prior to his departure. Although this is far from ideal for Washington, the good news is that he will have extra time to recover during their Week 14 bye. In the short term, Antonio Gibson and Chris Rodriguez Jr. will lead the backfield.

From RotoBaller

Dec 1 5:30pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. is a solid play with some risk associated with him in Week 13. This week, the Commanders will take on the Miami Dolphins, a team with a stellar offense. With Washington's mediocre defense considered, there's a decent chance that the Commanders fall behind early, similar to what happened in Week 12. If that occurs, Robinson's upside would be limited once again as he sees less volume when the offense is in catch-up mode. He has some downside, but with numerous teams on bye this week, Robinson is a name you can start as a low-end RB2 in Week 13.

From RotoBaller

Nov 23 9:40pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. rushed 15 times for 53 yards during Thursday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He also caught two of three targets for an additional 11 yards through the air. Given that Dallas has been dominant against running backs this season, fantasy managers shouldn't be too frustrated with Robinson's final line. With that said, he'll look for increased success in a potentially more favorable matchup against the Miami Dolphins next week.

Nov 22 2:30pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. could be in for another solid performance in Week 12. On Thanksgiving, the Commanders will take on the Dallas Cowboys. While the Cowboys are a challenging opponent, the second-year back might have another elite workload waiting for him. Fellow running back Antonio Gibson (toe) has been limited throughout the week and is considered a game-time decision. Without Gibson in the lineup, Robinson has been taking over the passing down role while holding onto his usual majority share of the rushing workload. With the possibility for more heavy volume, Robinson should be in starting consideration as a mid-level RB2 with upside in Week 12.

From RotoBaller

Nov 19 5:10pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. had 17 carries for 73 yards while also hauling in seven-of-nine targets for 58 yards during Sunday's loss to the New York Giants. With fellow running back Antonio Gibson (toe) inactive for Week 11, Robinson saw some elite usage as 24 total touches were a season-high. The second-year back also led Washington in scrimmage yards with 131. If this game says anything, it's that the former Alabama back is the main guy out of this backfield when Gibson isn't available. If his teammate continues to miss time, Robinson should be a locked-in starter for most lineups when Washington faces the Dallas Cowboys in Week 12.

From RotoBaller

Nov 17 6:20pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. could have some further involvement against the New York Giants in Week 11. In Week 10, the second-year back saw increased usage in the receiving game while leading Washington in receiving yards. This week, fellow running back Antonio Gibson (toe) is listed as doubtful, which may open up even more looks out of the backfield for Robinson. Also, it should be recognized that the Giants have a putrid defense and allow the fourth most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. With New York being one of the worst defenses in football and Gibson listed as doubtful, Robinson is looking like a great play. Consider him a high-end RB2 in Week 11.

Washington's RB Brian Robinson Jr. scored 27.70 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 10 loss in Seattle. Robinson Jr. ran for 38 yards and caught six passes for 119 yards with one touchdown.

Nov 12 9:00pm ET

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. had eight carries for 38 yards along with six receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks. After weeks of average production, Robinson exploded in Week 10. However, it wasn't with his usual heavy volume on the ground, but rather through the air. The second-year back ended up leading Washington in receptions and receiving yards while also scoring the team's first touchdown on a 51-yard catch and run early in the first quarter. With a matchup against the woeful New York Giants on the schedule in Week 11, Robinson will aim to keep his strong production going.
