Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders carried the ball three times for 18 yards and was not targeted in a 9-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 18. It marks a fitting end for a disappointing season for Sanders, who was signed to a four-year, $25.4 million contract last offseason but lost his job to Chuba Hubbard halfway through the year. He has a dead cap value of $11 million so he's likely to be back with the Panthers in 2024, although in what capacity remains to be seen.

Jan 6 7:00am CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders gained just 10 yards on two carries in a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17. He will finish off a disappointing first season with the Panthers in a home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 18. The Bucs have been excellent against the run this season as they are allowing the third-fewest fantasy points per game to the position thus far. Sanders has only been seeing a handful of carries per game of late and is not someone to consider for Week 18 lineups.

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders (illness) missed Wednesday's practice due to an illness but was able to practice in full on Thursday. Signed in the offseason to a four-year, $25.4 million contract, Sanders has been operating as the backup to Chuba Hubbard since the Panthers returned from their Week 7 bye. On the season, Sanders has had just two games where he logged double-digit points in PPR settings. With one week left to play the 26-year-old has 568 scrimmage yards and one touchdown. His disappointing season will end in Week 18's matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he will once again be a non-factor in fantasy.

Jan 3 1:50pm CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders (illness) did not practice on Wednesday due to an illness. The 26-year-old was listed with a toe injury last week but practiced in full and played against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17. Heading into the Week 18 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he could be at risk of missing the NFC South contest. While the Panthers have nothing left to play for this season, they are looking to upset the Buccaneers and keep them out of the playoffs. However, Sanders is far from the fantasy radar based on his body of work this season. Chuba Hubbard has more rushing yards, yards per carry, rushing touchdowns, receptions, receiving yards, and fantasy points than Sanders, who was expected to be the lead back heading into 2023.

Dec 30 6:20am CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders gained just three yards on three carries in last week's loss to the Green Bay Packers. He popped up on the injury report with a toe issue this week but was able to practice fully all week and is listed without an injury designation heading into a Week 17 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have been decent against running backs in 2023 as they allow the 15th-most fantasy points per game to the position. Sanders lost the starting role to Chuba Hubbard several weeks ago and has only been seeing a handful of touches over the past few weeks. He is not a recommended fantasy option in Week 17.

From RotoBaller

Dec 24 3:40pm CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders carried the ball three times for three yards and added a five-yard catch in a 33-30 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 16. Sanders continues to be an afterthought in the Carolina offense as starter Chuba Hubbard garnered 16 carries in the high-scoring contest. To add insult to injury, Sanders apparently injured his toe late in the contest and missed the end of the game. As the fantasy championship round approaches next week, Sanders is safe to send to waivers if he isn't there already.

From RotoBaller

Dec 23 5:40am CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders gained just two yards on six carries in a Week 15 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The veteran running back has now been held to 28 or fewer rushing yards in three of his past four contests. Sanders will look to bounce back against the Green Bay Packers at home in Week 16. The Packers have been a plus matchup for running backs in 2023 as they are allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to the position. Sanders has lost the starting role to Chuba Hubbard and should not be under consideration for fantasy lineups heading into the playoff semifinals.

From RotoBaller

Dec 17 3:40pm CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders carried the ball six times for two yards and added two receptions for 11 yards in a 9-7 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 15. Sanders was bottled up all afternoon and saw Chuba Hubbard dominate the backfield work with 22 carries and two receptions. The Panthers appear content to use Sanders as a breather back moving forward, despite the large contract he signed with the team last offseason. Sanders will not be a recommended fantasy option heading into Week 16 against the Green Bay Packers.

From RotoBaller

Dec 16 6:00am CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders ran for a season-high 74 yards in last week's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, although most of that yardage came on a 48-yard run. Despite the big game in Week 14, Sanders continues to play behind starter Chuba Hubbard in the Carolina backfield. In Week 15, he will take on the Atlanta Falcons at home in Carolina. The Falcons have been tough against the run this season as they are allowing just the 29th-most fantasy points per game to the position. Sanders has settled in as a low-end flex play most weeks and doesn't have much fantasy value outside of being a handcuff to Hubbard. He should not be in lineups as the fantasy playoffs kick off in most leagues.

Dec 10 4:10pm CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders carried the ball 10 times for 74 yards in a 28-6 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 14. Sanders' 74 rushing yards set a new season high, eclipsing his previous best of 72 yards set back in Week 1. That being said, most of his damage came on a 48-yard run in the second half. Sanders continues to play behind starter Chuba Hubbard, who out-touched him 25-to-10. Sanders will now get ready to face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 15.

From RotoBaller

Dec 9 6:00am CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders gained just 23 yards on eight carries in a Week 13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It has been a disappointing season for Sanders, who lost his role as the team's starting running back to Chuba Hubbard several weeks ago. In Week 14 he will head on the road to take on the New Orleans Saints. New Orleans has been solid against running backs this season as they are allowing the 22nd-most fantasy points per game to the position this year. Sanders can't be trusted in fantasy leagues moving forward and is best treated as a handcuff to Hubbard for the remainder of the season.

From RotoBaller

Dec 3 9:40pm CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders carried the ball eight times for 23 yards and added a six-yard catch in a 21-18 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 13. Sanders' disappointing first season in Carolina continues as he saw Chuba Hubbard top 100 rushing yards and score twice on 25 carries. Sanders will not be a recommended fantasy option heading into a Week 14 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

From RotoBaller

Dec 2 6:50am CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders will head on the road to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 13. Sanders had 15 carries in Week 12, his most since a Week 1 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. That being said, he failed to catch his lone target while backfield mate Chuba Hubbard caught five balls. Sanders will remain involved in the Carolina backfield committee but he is not a particularly inspiring fantasy option heading into Week 13. Treat him as a low-end flex option against a Tampa Bay defense allowing just the 27th-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs this year.

From RotoBaller

Nov 26 8:50pm CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders carried the ball 15 times for 28 yards and failed to corral his lone target in a 17-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 12. Sanders wound up seeing one more carry than Chuba Hubbard, although the latter caught five passes for 47 yards. The Panthers appear committed to splitting carries between the two players but Sanders remains on the outside looking in as he hasn't hit double-digit PPR points since Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks. He is nothing more than a handcuff option heading into Week 13 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

From RotoBaller

Nov 26 3:30pm CT

Carolina's RB Miles Sanders averaged a dismal 1.9 yards per carry on 15 attempts in Sunday's loss in Tennessee.

Nov 25 6:10am CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders drew into a much more even split with Chuba Hubbard in Week 11 as both players finished with 12 touches in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Hubbard had taken over for Sanders as the team's starter but wasn't particularly effective in the role, opening the way for Sanders to get back into the mix. That being said, the Carolina running game has not been a particularly good source for fantasy production in 2023 regardless of who it is getting the backfield touches. Things won't get much easier in Week 12 as the Panthers face off against a Tennessee Titans defense that is allowing just the 18th-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. Sanders sets up as a low-end RB3/flex option in Week 12.

From RotoBaller

Nov 19 3:30pm CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders carried the ball 11 times for 50 yards and added a two-yard catch in a 33-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 11. The 11 carries were the most for Sanders since he had 13 back in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings as he has been lightly used over the past few games. It remains to be seen whether the Panthers wanted to get him some extra work or if he's starting to bridge the gap between himself and starter Chuba Hubbard. Either way, the Panthers offense hasn't been a great source for fantasy points from running backs this season, so both Sanders and Hubbard have limited ceilings. They will take on the Tennessee Titans on the road in Week 12.

From RotoBaller

Nov 16 5:30pm CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders will take on the Dallas Cowboys at home in Week 11. Sanders opened the season as the starter after inking a big contract with Carolina in the offseason. He has since lost the starting job to Chuba Hubbard and has been held under 38.3% of the offensive snaps and 9.1 PPR fantasy points in each of his past three games. The Cowboys are unlikely to help him get things going as they are allowing just the 24th-most fantasy points per game to running backs in 2023. Sanders should be left on fantasy benches heading into Week 11's matchups.

From RotoBaller

Nov 10 4:20am CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders lost five yards on two carries and caught two passes for 15 yards in a 16-13 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 10. Sanders' disappointing first season with the Panthers continues as he played behind Chuba Hubbard and only saw one more touch than Raheem Blackshear in the Thursday night loss. Sanders has lost his starting role to Hubbard and has not seen more than seven carries since Week 6. Fantasy managers can feel free to move on from Sanders in the coming weeks as he has settled in as a handcuff to Hubbard in what has not been a very explosive Carolina offense through nine games. The Panthers will have a tough challenge in Week 11 as they will host the Dallas Cowboys.

From RotoBaller

Nov 8 6:40pm CT

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders has lost his starting role to Chuba Hubbard over the past few weeks. Sanders saw just nine touches to Hubbard's 20 in a Week 9 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. He will now look to bounce back on the road against the Chicago Bears in Week 10's Thursday game. The Bears have not been very effective at stopping opposing running backs in 2023 as they are allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to the position, but Sanders simply can't be trusted in fantasy while he's in the backup role behind Hubbard. Sanders should remain on fantasy benches heading into Week 10.
