Dynasty | The New England Patriots have re-signed tight end Hunter Henry. Dynasty Analysis: Henry gets a three-year deal and will stay in New England for the foreseeable future. He posted a decent season with the Patriots last year as he posted 42 catches for 419 yards and six touchdowns even with sub-par quarterback play. An imminent upgrade at that spot could bode well for Henry but it's hard to see him as much more than a streaming option or backup on a dynasty roster, especially since he'll turn 30 next year.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Mar 8 12:10pm ET

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry was scheduled to be a free agent next week, but the organization signed him to a three-year, $27 million deal on Friday. Henry signed with the Patriots on a three-year deal during the 2021 offseason after five years with the Los Angeles/San Diego Chargers. He's hauled in 143 passes for 1,531 yards and 17 touchdowns in his three years with New England despite poor quarterback play from Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe. Unless New England's next quarterback is a vast improvement, Henry will remain a touchdown-dependent fantasy option with limited upside.

From RotoBaller

Mar 8 11:13am ET

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry agreed to a three-year deal worth $27 million with a max value of $30 million, according to sources Friday, March 8.

Fantasy Spin: Henry will be staying put in New England likely working with a rookie quarterback. He's a back-end TE1 with touchdown upside in any given week.

From TheHuddle

Mar 3 4:03pm ET

New England Patriots impending free-agent TE Hunter Henry is a player the team would like to re-sign this offseason, but he likely will hit the free-agent market. The two sides are not close to an agreement at this time.

Fantasy Spin: The Patriots have a little over a week to reach a deal with Henry before he can start talking with other teams. He will be a starter no matter where he signs and can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in most leagues.

Jan 6 7:43pm ET

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry (knee) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Jan. 6. Also, TE La'Michael Pettway was signed to the active roster from the practice squad, and TE Matt Sokol and OT Andrew Stueber were elevated from the practice squad.

From TheHuddle

Jan 5 10:00pm ET

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry (knee) won't suit up for the Week 18 matchup against the New York Jets. The veteran tight end will see his 2023 campaign come to an end with the Pats not in playoff position. He finished with 42 receptions, 419 yards, and six touchdowns in 2023. Henry will come short of his fifth straight 500-plus yard campaign. The 29-year-old looked much better once Bailey Zappe took over under center. His absence on Sunday should mean that Mike Gesicki gets more looks as the No. 1 tight end.

From RotoBaller

Jan 5 5:03pm ET

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 5, and has been ruled out for Week 18.

Fantasy Spin: Mike Gesicki should be the top tight end for the Patriots this week with Henry unavailable. He probably will see a handful of targets during the game but probably can be avoided in most leagues.

From TheHuddle

Jan 4 11:30pm ET

New England Patriots tight ends Hunter Henry (knee) and Pharaoh Brown (ribs) were both limited in practice for the second straight day on Thursday. Henry is trying to make it back for what is expected to be head coach Bill Belichick's last game with the organization after the 29-year-old tight end missed the last two games with a knee injury. In two games before getting hurt, Henry had 10 catches on 12 targets for 106 yards and three touchdowns, so he'll have some low-cost sleeper potential in DFS if he's able to return and serve as a red-zone target for quarterback Bailey Zappe in the Week 18 regular season finale against the New York Jets. If Henry misses the final game of the year, Brown and Mike Gesicki should have bigger roles, but neither would be particularly attractive in fantasy lineups.

Jan 4 6:13pm ET

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Jan. 4.

Fantasy Spin: Henry is an important part of the passing game for the Patriots, so fantasy players will need to keep an eye on the situation to see if he plays in Week 18. He can be a No. 1 tight end in fantasy leagues if active.

From TheHuddle

Jan 3 5:13pm ET

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Jan. 3.

Fantasy Spin: Henry has been sidelined for a few weeks because of the injury, and his status for Week 18 is uncertain at this point. Fantasy players should monitor the situation because Henry can be a No. 1 tight end in leagues if active.

From TheHuddle

Dec 31 12:03pm ET

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry (knee) is not active for Week 17's game against the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Spin: Henry had been listed as questionable on the injury report after being a limited practice participant throughout the week. However, he will wind up missing his second consecutive game. None of the Patriots' backups at tight end should be considered viable fantasy options.

From TheHuddle

Dec 31 12:00pm ET

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry (knee) is officially inactive for the Week 17 game against the division-rival Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Henry will now miss his second straight game despite being limited in practice all week. In his absence, Mike Gesicki and Pharaoh Brown will split the workload at the tight end spot. In last week's Christmas Eve win over the Denver Broncos, Gesicki and Brown had two catches apiece, with Gesicki being fortunate enough to find the end zone. Gesicki is the better bet for production in a tough matchup against the Bills, but fantasy managers should stay away, as the 28-year-old has only 24 receptions for 204 yards and two touchdowns in 15 games in 2023 in his first year with the Patriots.

From RotoBaller

Dec 31 11:43am ET

The New England Patriots have declared RB JaMycal Hasty, DT Sam Roberts, OT Trent Brown, TE Hunter Henry, WR Kayshon Boutte, SS Jabrill Peppers and QB Nathan Rourke inactive for Week 17.

From TheHuddle

Dec 30 3:00pm ET

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry (knee) has traveled with the team to Buffalo and has a chance to play in Week 17 against the Bills. Henry, who is listed as questionable, was absent from last Sunday's win over the Denver Broncos in Week 16 but is trending in the right direction for this upcoming game. The veteran tight end's potential return would significantly bolster the Patriots' offense against a banged-up Bills defense. Henry has six receiving touchdowns on the season.

From RotoBaller

Dec 29 4:33pm ET

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 29, and is listed as questionable for Week 17.

Fantasy Spin: Henry should have a good chance to play this week, but fantasy players will need to check the inactive list for his official status. He will see a good amount of targets if he plays and can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in leagues.

From TheHuddle

Dec 29 4:20pm ET

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry (knee) is officially questionable to play against the Buffalo Bills in Week 17. He had been limited in practice all week long after missing his first game of the season last Sunday versus the Denver Broncos. At this point, it appears that Henry will be a game-time decision for New England's second-to-last divisional clash of the 2023 season. Given that Bailey Zappe has thrown four touchdowns to tight ends over his last three games, there's a real chance that Henry could have appeal as a fantasy TE1 if active this week. Managers invested in his availability should stay tuned for the Patriots' official inactives list on Sunday morning.

From RotoBaller

Dec 28 5:23pm ET

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 28.

Fantasy Spin: Henry appears to have a good chance to be available for the Week 17 game and should have a big role in the passing game if he plays. He can be a low-end No. 1 tight end in leagues if active.

From TheHuddle

Dec 28 5:10pm ET

New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry (knee) was limited for the second straight day of practice this week on Thursday. Henry didn't play in the team's Week 16 win over the Denver Broncos on Christmas Eve, but the fact that he's practiced twice already this week gives hope that he will return this Sunday to face the division-rival Bills on the road in Buffalo. The 29-year-old has seen more involvement in his last two games and has scored a touchdown in each contest, but he'll still probably be a touchdown-dependent TE2 streamer, at best, if he returns to action in Week 17 for New England. In the first meeting against the Bills back in Week 7, Henry caught only two of three targets for 27 yards.

From RotoBaller

Dec 28 4:13pm ET

New England Patriots OT Trent Brown (illness), C Jalen Mills (concussion), S Jabrill Peppers (hamstring), WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) and RB Ezekiel Elliott (illness) did not practice on Thursday, Dec. 28. DT Christian Barmore (knee), LB Ja'Whaun Bentley (knee), CB Myles Bryant (chest), TE Hunter Henry (knee), LB Anfernee Jennings (knee), CB Jonathan Jones (knee), WR Matthew Slater (hamstring) and CB Shaun Wade (hip) were limited. OT Tyrone Wheatley Jr. (knee) practiced in full.

From TheHuddle

Dec 27 5:43pm ET

New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Fantasy Spin: Henry was not able to play in Week 16 but seems to have a chance to return this week. Fantasy players should monitor the situation because Henry can be a low-end No. 1 tight end if active.
