The San Francisco 49ers restructured the contract of tight end George Kittle on Wednesday. San Francisco created $18.756 million in cap space. He signed a five-year, $75 million extension with the 49ers in August 2020, and most of his base salary was converted to a bonus to clear up cap space. The 28-year-old racked up 71 catches for 910 yards and six touchdowns over 14 games in 2021. He will provide the No. 3 pick in 2021 NFL Draft quarterback Trey Lance another talented pass-catching option. Kittle is expected to be one of the top tight ends off the board in upcoming fantasy drafts in 2022.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle 'never truly got over' the calf injury that sidelined him early in the 2021 season, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic.
Fantasy Spin: Kittle still showed flashes of being one of the dominant tight ends in the NFL after returning, but he struggled with consistency. His ceiling remains as high as any player at the position, but he has dealt with injuries in each of the past two seasons.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle never truly got over his calf injury that forced him to miss time. The three-time Pro Bowl tight end was forced to miss three games due to a lingering calf issue. He returned, but his receiving production took a decline after the injury. It was mentioned that Kittle was laboring at times during the playoffs. That makes sense now because Kittle never truly recovered from his calf injury. Honestly, his health has been the only thing holding him back throughout his career. It'll be interesting to see how Kittle adjusts to new run-first quarterback Trey Lance. Fantasy managers should expect Kittle to remain successful, assuming he's actually fully healthy heading into the 2022 campaign.

San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo completed 16 of 30 passes for 232 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT in an NFC Championship Game loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Jan. 30. RB Elijah Mitchell carried the ball 11 times for 20 yards; he added 50 yards on three receptions. WR Deebo Samuel posted seven carries for 26 yards along with four catches for 72 yards and a score. WR Brandon Aiyuk had 69 yards on four receptions. TE George Kittle finished the game with two grabs, 27 yards and a touchdown. On defense, CB Ambry Thomas logged a team-high 13 tackles, including 10 solo, and LB Fred Warner finished with 10 stops.

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Los Angeles Rams. He was seen limping at the end of the Divisional-Round win over the Green Bay Packers but is expected to be all systems go for Sunday. The 28-year-old logged a full practice Wednesday and was removed from the injury report. He caught five of seven targets for 10 yards in his previous contest against the Rams. Despite the dud against Los Angeles in Week 18, Kittle provides excellent value at his $5,800 price tag on FanDuel for Sunday's main DFS slate.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle finished with a team-high four catches for 63 yards during the win over the Packers. Elijah Mitchell and Deebo Samuel combined for 27 carries, so Kittle was impacted to some degree. He also dropped a pass from Jimmy Garoppolo in the first quarter, one which could have enhanced his statistical totals immensely. Nonetheless, while Kittle hasn't had the most productive postseason, his upside is higher than nearly everyone else's at the position. As a result, he should remain on the radar for DFS managers on Championship Sunday against the Buccaneers or Rams.

RB Elijah Mitchell rushed 17 times for 53 yards and caught three passes for 18 yards. WR Deebo Samuel caught three passes for 44 yards and added 39 yards rushing on 10 carries. TE George Kittle caught four of his six targets for a team-high 63 yards. DE Nick Bosa and DL Arik Armstead both recorded a pair of sacks in the win.

He ran once for a yard. RB Elijah Mitchell rushed 27 times for 96 yards and a touchdown. He caught one of two targets for -11 yards. CB Emmanuel Moseley led the team with 12 tackles, including 10 solo stops. DE Nick Bosa (head) tallied two solo tackles, an assist, a half-sack, and a quarterback hit.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 14, and is not on the injury report for the Wild Card playoff game.
Fantasy Spin: Kittle is on a bit of a cold streak with only 60 yards over the last three games. He should still be a main option in the passing game this week and can be a No. 1 tight end in leagues.

RB Elijah Mitchell led the way with 21 runs for 85 yards while WR/RB Deebo Samuel rushed eight times for 45 yards with a touchdown, he threw a 24-yard touchdown strike to WR Jauan Jennings and he added four grabs for 95 yards on six targets. From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle caught one of his two targets for 29 yards in a 23-7 win over the Houston Texans in Week 17.
Fantasy Spin: Kittle wasn't involved much in the offense for the second week in a row, but his upside is too high to leave him on the bench in Week 18.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle caught a 29-yard reception during a 23-7 Week 17 win over the Houston Texans. The 49ers' star tight end only drew two targets, with rookie quarterback Trey Lance making his second career start on Sunday. Kittle should remain a top-five tight end option against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 18, assuming Jimmy Garoppolo is healthy enough to return from a thumb injury that sidelined him against the Texans. Kittle is matchup proof but has better rapport with Garoppolo, raising his floor and ceiling in a big divisional showdown in Los Angeles next week.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle caught two passes for 21 yards during a 20-17 Week 16 loss to the Tennessee Titans. The 49ers' star tight end was only targeted three times on Thursday night, and one of those was an end-zone target that ended up being intercepted by Jackrabbit Jenkins. Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and even fullback Kyle Juszczyk saw more targets than Kittle, so expect him to deliver a monster performance in a bounce-back game at home against the Houston Texans in Week 17.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle caught two passes for 21 yards against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday, Dec. 23. He was targeted three times.
Fantasy Spin: Kittle came in on a historic three-game roll, but after catching a pair of balls on the first two drives his third target of the night was intercepted in the end zone. That came with just over a minute left in the first quarter. He wasn't targeted again. Several replays showed the Titans committing two defenders to checking Kittle to great effect as Garoppolo showed no desire to try and force the ball to his talented tight end. Despite having an off night, Kittle remains a must-start TE1 in Week 17 against the Texans.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle caught all six of his targets for 93 yards in a 31-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 15.
Fantasy Spin: Kittle has set the bar so high the last couple of weeks that his line against the Falcons seemed a little disappointing. He is a luxury at the tight end position.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle caught six passes for 93 yards during a 31-13 Week 15 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The 49ers' star tight end continues to dominate as the lead receiver in the offense, racking up the most yards and receptions in a game that saw Jimmy Garoppolo attempt only 23 passes. Kittle cooled off a bit from his previous two-game stretch but remained Garoppolo's favorite target in the offense. He should produce another quality game against the Tennessee Titans in Week 16.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 17, and is not on the injury report.
Fantasy Spin: Kittle remains of the top tight ends in the NFL and is a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers LB Dre Greenlaw (groin), DL Maurice Hurst (calf) and RB Elijah Mitchell (concussion, knee) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 15 versus the Atlanta Falcons. LB Azeez Al-Shaair (elbow) also did not practice all week and is listed as doubtful. DL D.J. Jones (knee) and S Jaquiski Tartt (glute) were limited in practice Friday, Dec. 17, and are listed as questionable. CB Ambry Thomas (concussion) was upgraded to a full practice on Friday but is also listed as questionable. DE Nick Bosa (non-injury), CB Dontae Johnson (non-injury), TE George Kittle (knee), C Alex Mack (non-injury), OT Trent Williams (non-injury) and LB Fred Warner (ankle) practiced in full on Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.
