The Cincinnati Bengals are planning to sign New England Patriots free-agent offensive tackle Trent Brown to an undisclosed one-year deal after visiting with him on Tuesday, according to a source. Brown, who spent the last three seasons in New England, will help the Bengals replace Jonah Williams after he signed in free agency with the Arizona Cardinals. The 30-year-old Brown will be expected to start at tackle across from Orlando Brown as he now protects quarterback Joe Burrow. The 6-foot-8, 370-pounder was originally a seventh-round selection by the San Francisco 49ers in 2015 out of Florida. Brown spent the first three seasons of his NFL career in the Bay Area before playing for the Patriots in 2018 and then the Raiders in 2019-20. He has started 93 of the 100 games he's appeared in over his nine-year career.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) said he expects to be cleared for contact in May. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft suffered a torn wrist ligament in his throwing hand on November 16 against the Baltimore Ravens. The injury ended his season after 10 games. After starting the season with a calf injury, Burrow threw for 2,309 yards, 15 touchdowns, and six interceptions before being sidelined. His recovery timeline puts him well on schedule to participate in all of the team's offseason activities, so this specific injury should not be a concern. However, he has now missed 13 games in four NFL seasons, so a future injury could be a risk. Either way, he is being valued as a mid or low-end QB1 in fantasy football. The team used the franchise tag on Tee Higgins, and Ja'Marr Chase is under contract, giving Burrow plenty of firepower to bounce back.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) thinks he can be ready to throw by organized team activities this offseason, but he's not completely sure of his timeline as he recovers from season-ending surgery on his right wrist. The 27-year-old signal-caller had a lost season in 2023, first suffering a calf injury in training camp that kept him out of the preseason and was responsible for both him and the Bengals offense getting off to a slow start in the regular season. Burrow's wrist injury caused him to miss the final seven games, and he finished with a career-low 2,309 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions in 10 games. Even if Burrow isn't quite ready to throw by OTAs this spring, he should be fully recovered by the time training camp starts at the end of July.

Dynasty | Bengals quarterback Jake Browning turned in a passable performance in his first start, replacing Joe Burrow who will miss the remainder of the 2023 season due to a wrist injury. Dynasty Analysis: Browning threw for 227 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the team's week-12 loss to the Steelers. Obviously, it's a story with relatively short legs in the dynasty format as Browning's time in the sun will last only through 2023, and shorter still if the team signs a veteran in a last-ditch effort to make the playoffs. In any event, Browning's time under-center should help buoy the production values of Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins for the remainder of 2023, though at a fraction to that prior to Burrow's injury. Until proven otherwise, the short-term values and production expectations of all Bengals receivers must be reduced but the results of Browning's second start in week 13 will be a better indicator. He remains unranked on DLF's quarterback rankings.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced on Monday that quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) underwent successful surgery on his injured right wrist. "The procedure went as planned and he is expected to make a complete recovery. Joe will return to Cincinnati this week to be with the team and begin the recovery and rehab process," the team said in a statement. Burrow tore a ligament in his right wrist in the Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and will be forced to miss the rest of what was an injury filled 2023 campaign for the 26-year-old. With better health in 2024, Burrow could be a nice QB1 bounce-back target in fantasy drafts. Jake Browning lost his first game as the starter in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and will lead Cincy's offense the rest of the way.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) will undergo surgery on his wrist on Monday, according to sources. The expectation is that Burrow will make a full recovery for the 2024 season. Regardless of how far the Bengals advance in the playoffs if they were to qualify, head coach Zac Taylor said Burrow's season is over. The 26-year-old tore a ligament in his right wrist in the Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, and the Bengals officially put him on Injured Reserve on Saturday. Burrow's 2023 season seemed doomed from the start when he strained his calf early in training camp. It forced him to miss all of the preseason, and he came out of the gates in the regular season not 100 percent and limited in his mobility. Both Burrow and the Bengals offense took some time to click, and when they finally did, he suffered the season-ending wrist injury.

The Cincinnati Bengals officially placed quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) on Injured Reserve and elevated quarterback AJ McCarron from the practice squad to the active roster in a corresponding move for Sunday's Week 12 contest against the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers. This move should come as no surprise to anyone, as Burrow is going to miss the rest of the season due to a torn ligament in his right wrist that he suffered in the Week 11 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals will move forward with Jake Browning under center from here on out, and the coaching staff isn't planning on changing the offensive game plan all that much with the change in QBs. Fantasy managers in single-year leagues can safely drop Burrow from their rosters at this point.

Dynasty | Joe Burrow will miss the remainder of 2024 due to a torn ligament in his wrist Dynasty Analysis: The worst news possible has been confirmed. It was always possible that Burrow could have sustained a serious injury but not many expected this outcome. It's been a brutal season for impact injuries and the beat goes on. Listed as DLF's QB4, Burrow's long term value won't be impacted but it's certain to impact those around him, most notably Ja'Marr Chase.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced on Friday that quarterback Joe Burrow (thumb) will miss the rest of the season after reportedly tearing a ligament in his right wrist in the Thursday night loss to the Baltimore Ravens. It's a monumental blow to the Bengals and fantasy managers. Any chance the Bengals might have had to make the playoffs this year likely went up in flames when the 26-year-old was hurt in Week 11. It was a frustrating year for Burrow, who started off slow due to a calf injury that caused him to miss all of training camp and the preseason. He finishes with 2,309 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions in 10 games. The Bengals will be forced to trek on with quarterback Jake Browning under center, which will lower the fantasy value of all of the team's offensive skill players as a result the rest of the way.

The NFL is reportedly going to investigate why quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) wasn't on the injury report ahead of the Week 11 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. The team's social-media account deleted a post from Wednesday that showed Burrow wearing some kind of protective device on his wrist. However, the superstar quarterback wasn't listed on the team's injury report all week. Burrow then aggravated the injury and was forced to miss the second half of Thursday's loss to the Ravens. The Bengals could be looking at a fine or possibly lose a draft pick if the league finds any wrongdoing on the part of the organization. Burrow reportedly suffered a sprained wrist during this game, which could result in a trip to Injured Reserve.

Dynasty | Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow left the TNF loss to the Ravens with a sprained wrist. Dynasty Analysis: We'll wait and see the severity of this but Burrow was quoted saying he heard something pop. The Bengals went on to lose the game and fall to 5-5, putting their season in peril. Burrow has a few more days to rest since Cincinnati doesn't play again for a bit but he simply couldn't throw a ball and there's some speculation this may have been a pre-existing condition, despite him not having an injury designation prior to the contest. Regardless, this is a mess and Burrow looks like he could be out for a while. If he's indeed out for an extended period of time, there will be some doubters in regards to his long-term viability. Regardless, we'll wait for an update before speculating too much.

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said the belief is that quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) has a sprained right wrist. Burrow exited Thursday's eventual 34-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens with the injury in the second quarter, completing 11-of-17 passes for 101 yards and a touchdown before being forced from the game following his passing score. The 26-year-old couldn't grip the football properly while warming up on the sidelines and was later ruled out near the start of the second half. Burrow's practice status sets up as one of Week 12's pivotal storylines heading into a showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 10 days. Now at 5-5, the Bengals can ill afford to lose their star signal-caller for any amount of time at this juncture of the season amid a heated AFC North race. Jake Browning would fill in for Burrow next Sunday if he isn't healthy enough to play.

Nov 16 10:50pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) has been ruled out for the remainder of the Thursday night game against the Baltimore Ravens due to a right-wrist injury he suffered late in the second quarter. Burrow was spotted wearing a brace on his wrist earlier in the day and then could not even throw a football on the sidelines after getting hurt. He came out of the locker room after halftime without his helmet and has now officially been ruled out. Jake Browning will finish the game under center for Cincinnati. Fantasy managers will be crossing their fingers that this isn't a serious injury that keeps Burrow out for an extended period of time. It took some time for Burrow to get back in a rhythm earlier this year due to a calf injury he suffered in training camp, and now his right wrist is a huge concern. Before leaving on Thursday night, Burrow went 11-for-17 for 101 yards and a touchdown, adding seven yards on one carry.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist) is questionable to return to Thursday's matchup versus the Baltimore Ravens. The superstar signal-caller was forced to exit in the second quarter due to a right wrist injury. He appeared to have hurt his wrist or elbow after being hit, but stayed in the game. However, Burrow was in obvious pain after throwing a touchdown pass later that drive. He attempted to warm up on the sideline, but eventually decided to head to the locker room. At this point, the Bengals might play it safe with their franchise quarterback and hold him out for the rest of the game. In his absence, Jake Browning will be tasked with leading the Bengals offense for this Week 11 contest.

Nov 15 8:20pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will attempt to get his team back into the win column on Thursday night against the Ravens. Both clubs met in Week 2, with Baltimore earning the narrow victory. Burrow finished that one with 222 yards, two touchdowns, and a pick off 27-for-41 passing, which was a more productive showing than he had versus the Browns in the season opener. Unquestionably, the signal-caller struggled early on in the season because of an ailing calf. But he's played considerably better since the Bengals' Week 7 bye, throwing seven touchdowns and two interceptions. He's also completed at least 67.5% of his tosses in each of his last three games. Nonetheless, Burrow and the Bengals have a chance to climb the AFC North standings in Week 11, so the former LSU Tiger should be featured in all fantasy lineups.

Cincinnati Bengals' QB Joe Burrow scored 25.35 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 10 loss against the Texans. Burrow threw for 347 yards on 27-of-40 with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Nov 12 4:50pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow threw for 347 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions off 27-for-40 passing in Sunday's meeting with the Texans. However, it wasn't enough, as Houston snapped Cincinnati's four-game win streak in Week 10, courtesy of a late field goal from Matt Ammendola to take the lead with no time left on the clock. Despite the loss, Burrow has played well since returning from the Week 7 bye, tossing seven touchdowns and two picks in his previous three appearances. He's also been one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the league during those games, completing 75.2% of his throws. With the Bengals looking to get back into the win column, Cincy will be challenged on Thursday night by the Ravens, who sit atop the AFC North. Of course, Burrow remains a must-start for that one.

Cincinnati Bengals' QB Joe Burrow passed for 347 yards on 27-of-40 with two touchdowns in Sunday's game against the Texans. He did throw two interceptions in the loss. It was Burrow's 2nd consecutive 300+ yard passing game. He has averaged 348 yards passing in those games.

Nov 11 12:40am ET

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow looks to extend his team's winning streak to five games against the Texans. The signal-caller played well during the Sunday Night Football win over the Buffalo Bills, throwing for 348 yards and two touchdowns while completing 70.5% of his attempts. Without question, Burrow has looked like a new man since returning from the Week 7 bye, considering he began the year dealing with a calf ailment that severely impacted his mobility. Unfortunately, the former LSU Tiger may have a tougher time remaining an elite fantasy quarterback in Week 10 with Tee Higgins (hamstring) ruled out. Even worse, Ja'Marr Chase is questionable, meaning Burrow might be without his top two wideouts versus Houston. However, the Texans are also battling ailments on both sides of the ball, which could help Burrow stay productive on Sunday, even if Tyler Boyd, Trenton Irwin, and Irv Smith Jr. are his primary pass-catchers.
