Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught six of eight targets for 56 yards during Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Another year, another what-if season for McLaurin. Although the fifth-year receiver had his fourth-straight 1,000-yard season, middling quarterback play still held him back for most of the year. Nothing exemplified this more than quarterback Sam Howell underthrowing a wide-open McLaurin for what would've been a 51-yard touchdown on Washington's first possession of Week 18. There is light at the end of the tunnel for this offense, as the Commanders are locked into the second pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. If the team selects one of the blue-chip quarterback prospects, McLaurin's fortunes could finally take a turn for the better next season.

Coming off a solid game in Week 17, Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin is looking to carry over his success into the final week of the regular season. This week, the Commanders are taking on the Dallas Cowboys. In their previous matchup, Dallas put a beat down on Washington during a blowout where McLaurin had a middling performance overall. However, the fifth-year receiver saw 11 targets during that matchup, so he was involved at least. With the rough matchup and the Commanders having no reason to win, McLaurin isn't a very inspiring option, but he's still a backend WR2 in Week 18.

Dec 31 4:10pm ET

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught four of six targets for 61 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Although it was mostly a quiet day for Washington's offense, McLaurin still put up some decent stats on the back of his production during a singular drive. Late in the second quarter, the fifth-year receiver hauled in three receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown on the Commanders' only touchdown drive of the game. With Washington's quarterback situation still in question, McLaurin will aim to issue a repeat performance against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 18.

Dec 29 3:10pm ET

What seemed like a good week for Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin is now much more questionable due to a recent injury to his quarterback. With Jacoby Brissett (hamstring) being listed as questionable for Week 17, the Commanders might have to turn back to struggling quarterback Sam Howell against a vaunted San Francisco 49ers defense. While the 49ers have been more of a pass-funnel defense this year, Howell running the offense offers much less stability than if Brissett were available for this game. If Brissett ends up playing, McLaurin could be considered as high as a WR2. However, if Howell starts, it'd be hard to consider him anything more than a WR3/flex play. Monitor the status of Washington's quarterback situation for a clearer outlook on McLaurin heading into Week 17.

Dec 24 5:50pm ET

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught three of five targets for 50 yards during Sunday's loss to the New York Jets. After last week's boom performance, the fifth-year receiver ended up hauling in just three passes against a tough Jets pass defense. Even with his underwhelming stat line, the silver lining here is that there could be a quarterback change coming in Week 17. With quarterback Jacoby Brissett playing well in relief for the second week in a row, McLaurin could benefit as he's shown much better chemistry with him than with usual starter Sam Howell. If there is a change, he could be a solid start for most rosters against the San Francisco 49ers.

After having his best performance of the season in Week 15, Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin has the tall task of taking on one of the best defenses in the league this week. In Week 16, the Commanders are taking on the New York Jets. This season, the Jets defense has allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. That makes this a pretty tough spot for the fifth-year wide receiver. You'd like to start him after last week's strong outing, but the matchup provides a fairly bleak outlook for McLaurin. Consider him a WR3/flex play against the Jets in Week 16.

Dec 19 4:05pm ET

Washington's WR Terry McLaurin scored 26.10 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 15 loss in Los Angeles Rams. McLaurin caught six passes for 141 yards with one touchdown.

Dec 17 8:00pm ET

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught six of 12 targets for 141 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Rams. After making no impact on the box score during Washington's previous game, McLaurin had himself a huge day in Week 15. While it may look nice, what's concerning is that his significant production came when the Commanders benched quarterback Sam Howell and replaced him with Jacoby Brissett. With Brissett, the fifth-year receiver had three catches for 93 yards and a touchdown. Considering head coach Ron Rivera has already committed to Howell as next week's starter, McLaurin may have to continue to deal with Washington's offensive inconsistency. With the New York Jets on the schedule for Week 16, try not to expect a repeat performance.

Dec 17 7:30pm ET

Washington's WR Terry McLaurin had 6 receptions for 141 yards with one touchdown for an outstanding 23.5 yards per catch in Sunday's loss in Los Angeles Rams.

Dec 15 6:20pm ET

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin has been on a rough stretch. While he hasn't impressed often, he hit a new low during Washington's last game in Week 13 when he put up a big nothing in the box score. In Week 15, the Commanders will head on the road to face the Los Angeles Rams. The hope is that the fifth-year receiver can pick up the pace, but the targets in this offense have been too spread out, although there have been plenty. Considering he put up nothing in their last game, there could be a concerted effort to get him the ball. However, that's a tough thing to rely on during the later weeks of the season. He could bounce back, but consider McLaurin a risky option in Week 15.

Dec 3 4:20pm ET

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught none of his three targets during Sunday's loss to the Miami Dolphins. Week 13 was a week the Commanders would like to forget, especially McLaurin. Although most saw this as a bad matchup, the fifth-year receiver was expected to see some usage in garbage time at least. Unfortunately, that was not the case as he looked like an afterthought in this offense while not recording a catch for only the second time in his career. With an upcoming bye in Week 14, the hope is that this Washington offense can regroup and get their top receiver more involved against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 15.

From RotoBaller

Dec 1 5:50pm ET

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin hasn't lived up to expectations this season. Despite the offense being incredibly pass-happy, the fifth-year wideout just hasn't got there as he's failed to eclipse 100 receiving yards at all this season. With an upcoming matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 13, McLaurin could have a small bounce-back due to a negative game script. It's no secret that the Dolphins have a wicked offense, and paired with Washington's woeful defense, the Commanders will have to pass a lot to keep up. With a projected heavy pass volume, McLaurin could be a solid play if the targets come his way. With that in mind, consider him a mid-range WR2 in Week 13.

Nov 23 9:30pm ET

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin turned 11 targets into just four catches for 50 yards during Thursday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Despite the heavy volume, Washington's No. 1 receiver had a relatively uneventful game, delivering single-digit fantasy points (PPR) for the third consecutive week. On a positive note, the opportunities existed between his hefty target share and Sam Howell's 300 passing yards. Perhaps McLaurin can bounce back as a low-end WR2 versus the Miami Dolphins in Week 13.

Nov 22 2:40pm ET

While putting up disappointing numbers for the past two weeks, Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin has the tall task of taking on one of the best defenses in the NFL. In a Week 12 Thanksgiving matchup, the Commanders will face the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas is allowing the second-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers, making this a questionable matchup for McLaurin. So, while the fifth-year receiver may be aiming to bounce back, this will be a tough game to do so. McLaurin is still a starting option, but just temper expectations. Consider him a low-end WR2 against Dallas.

Nov 19 6:10pm ET

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught five-of-seven targets for 43 yards during Sunday's loss to the New York Giants. It was another lackluster outing for the fifth-year receiver as he failed to reach 50 receiving yards for the second straight week. This seemed like a stellar matchup for McLaurin as the Giants have given up some strong outings to wide receivers recently. Unfortunately, things just weren't aligning with the offense struggling as a whole. With a matchup against the menacing Dallas Cowboys defense on schedule for Week 12, McLaurin will have to bring his best if he wants to break out of this slump.

Nov 17 6:30pm ET

After a disappointing performance against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10, Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin is drawing a much easier matchup in Week 11. Washington has the privilege of facing the New York Giants, probably the most depleted team in the NFL at this point of the season. In terms of fantasy points allowed per game, the Giants are giving up the fourth most to wide receivers while coming off a game where they allowed Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb to go nuclear. McLaurin probably won't hit Lamb's level of production, but there is the possibility for a major bounce back against an inferior opponent. Consider him a strong WR2 with upside in Week 11.

Nov 12 10:30pm ET

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught four-of-eight targets for 33 yards during Sunday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Despite looking like a solid play coming into Week 10, the fifth-year receiver ended up disappointing against Seattle. Although he led Washington in targets, McLaurin had the misfortune of dealing with the Seahawks' talented cornerbacks all game. There is light at the end of the tunnel, however, as the Commanders get to play the New York Giants in Week 11. Considering the Giants' defense just allowed 640 total yards to the Dallas Cowboys, McLaurin may be in a good spot for a bounce back next week.

From RotoBaller

Nov 10 5:30pm ET

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin should once again be a solid fantasy option. While lacking a true boom performance, the fifth-year receiver has been a model of consistency as he's hit at least five receptions for 50 yards in six of nine games. In Week 10, the Commanders will take on the Seattle Seahawks. Both teams own a solid offense and a weaker defense. With that combination, there is the possibility of a shootout in this game. Considering Washington's offense has leaned heavily on the pass as of late, that may mean plenty of targets heading McLaurin's way. With a solid matchup in a pass-heavy offense, McLaurin is looking like a high-end WR2 in Week 10.

Nov 5 6:20pm ET

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin caught five-of-seven targets for 73 yards during Sunday's win over the New England Patriots. Despite not being able to find the end zone, McLaurin still put together a solid outing as he led the Commanders in receiving yards. As quarterback Sam Howell continues to put up great performances on the back of numerous pass attempts, the veteran receivers' level of play should continue to impress. With an upcoming matchup against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10, McLaurin should once again be a solid starting option.

From RotoBaller

Nov 3 6:10pm ET

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin should be in for a solid performance this week. In Week 9, the Commanders are taking on the New England Patriots, and it looks like the veteran receiver may once again be a focal point of the offense. In Week 8, he saw a team-leading 12 targets while fellow receiver Curtis Samuel (toe) was hampered by an injury. Samuel has recently been ruled out for Week 9, making McLaurin a candidate for plenty of targets once again. Considering the health of his teammate and a solid matchup against New England's hobbled defense, McLaurin should be started as a high-end WR2 this week.
