Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (knee) suffered a knee injury during pre-game warmups on Monday night and is questionable to play against the Tennessee Titans at Hard Rock Stadium. Raheem Mostert (chest) was already ruled out for this game for the third straight week, so if Wilson doesn't play, rookie Jaylen Wright could see a healthy amount of touches as the change-of-pace back behind starter De'Von Achane. Among Miami's four running backs, the 28-year-old Wilson is the least intriguing fantasy option, especially after this injury. In the first four games of 2024, Wilson has only eight carries for 40 yards and has caught two passes for 12 yards. Wright rushed only twice for 17 yards in last week's loss to the Seattle Seahawks and doesn't have as much upside now in single-year formats with the Dolphins down to quarterback Tyler Huntley. However, his explosive abilities and intriguing upside still make him worth stashing in deeper fantasy leagues.

Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. will face a challenging Tennessee Titans defense when the two teams square off on Monday Night Football. With backfield mate Raheem Mostert (chest) labeled as questionable, Wilson Jr. could again split time with rookie Jaylen Wright behind De'Von Achane. Mostert's main issue at this point is reportedly pain management, and if he could play, Wilson would be relegated to a decreased role. In Week 3, the 27-year-old saw 14 snaps to Wright's 13 and finished with one more carry (3) and three fewer yards (14) than the fourth-round rookie. Neither was targeted in the passing game. In Week 4, the team will turn to already its fourth QB when Tyler Huntley makes his first start. Recently signed off the Baltimore Ravens practice squad, Huntley gives Miami another element in their rushing attack that defenses must account for. With his lack of experience in the Dolphins offense, head coach Mike McDaniel likely installed a scaled-back game plan that involves a heavy rushing attack against a particularly formidable Titans pass defense. However, some of those carries will undoubtedly go Huntley's way, meaning less overall volume for Dolphins running backs. Wilson is a low-end, low-floor FLEX ahead of Monday night.

Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (oblique) was removed from the team's final injury report on Friday and will be active for the Week 3 contest on Sunday on the road at Lumen Field against the Seattle Seahawks. Wilson picked up a minor oblique injury in last Thursday's loss to the division-rival Buffalo Bills and was limited in practice on Wednesday before being full go on Thursday and Friday. Raheem Mostert (chest) is doubtful to play this weekend, so both Wilson and rookie Jaylen Wright should see more touches behind De'Von Achane, albeit in an offense now being run by quarterback Skylar Thompson. With Mostert out in Week 2, Wilson played only 14% of the offensive snaps and caught both of his targets for 12 yards. Wright is the better long-term upside stash in deeper fantasy leagues, and Wilson won't be a starting option this Sunday, even with Mostert likely out again.

Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (oblique) was able to get through a full practice session on Thursday. This is good news after Wilson opened the week with a limited session on Wednesday. Wilson is working his way back from an oblique injury he suffered during the Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Normally, Wilson isn't a huge part of the offense, but he could see an increased workload in Week 3. Fellow back Raheem Mostert (chest) remained limited on Thursday and is uncertain for the Week 3 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. If he sits, Wilson would be the No. 2 back behind De'Von Achane which should mean increased fantasy value.

Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (oblique) was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. Miami is dealing with injuries throughout its offense, including Wilson and fellow running back Raheem Mostert (chest). When this whole backfield is healthy, Wilson operates as the No. 3 option but still earns a handful of touches. With that said, though, if Mostert suits up this week, Wilson probably won't get enough volume to stay on the fantasy radar. Fantasy managers can leave him on the waiver wire for the time being.

Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (oblique) didn't suffer a serious injury in the blowout loss to the division-rival Buffalo Bills on Thursday night, according to a source. Wilson became a more attractive deep-league flex play for fantasy managers this week when it was announced on Wednesday that Raheem Mostert (chest) wasn't going to play. The 28-year-old didn't see a single carry while catching both of his targets for 12 yards, though, before he exited the game and was ruled out with a minor oblique injury. Rookie Jaylen Wright did very little as well, seeing five carries for four yards in his NFL debut. It remains to be seen how long Mostert will be out, but as things look now, Wright is the more attractive upside stash in fantasy leagues for managers that are looking for additional RB depth. It remains to be seen if Wilson will be available for Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (oblique) exited Thursday's game against the Buffalo Bills and did not return. He finished Week 2 with just two catches for 12 yards through the air. Miami is dealing with a plethora of offensive injuries. Not only are they short two running backs in Wilson and Raheem Mostert (chest), but quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) also suffered a very scary head injury during Thursday's game. If the Dolphins' injured players are sidelined for a while, we'll see a lot of De'Von Achane in the backfield with extra opportunities for rookie Jaylen Wright, too.

Sep 11 9:50am ET

Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson, Jr., was active in Week 1 as the Dolphins' third running back ahead of rookie Jaylen Wright and rushed five times for 26 yards in the team's win over Jacksonville. Wilson ended up being the team's leading rusher in the game. De'Von Achane (ankle) and Raheem Mostert (chest) have each missed practice time this week ahead of Thursday night's Week 2 matchup with Buffalo. It should be noted that Tuesday's practice was a walkthrough for the Dolphins so even though both were listed as DNP, it doesn't necessarily mean they won't play. If both Achane and Mostert miss the game, Wilson could be the featured runner, but there is also the possibility that Miami chooses to feature their rookie in Wright. There is a lot of uncertainty in the Miami backfield this week, but Wilson figures to see an increased workload should one or two of the running backs ahead of his on the depth chart miss the game.

Running back Jeff Wilson Jr. rushed five times for seven yards in the Miami Dolphins' 20-13 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Friday. He added three receptions for 18 yards and a touchdown on four targets. Wilson was the first running back in for the Dolphins and was featured heavily over the first few drives. In the opening seconds of the second quarter, Miami was down in Atlanta's red zone. He caught a Skylar Thompson pass in the left flat and swiftly made his way to the end zone, diving for the pylon. 2024 will be the eight-year veteran's third season with Miami after spending the first five seasons of his career in a similar Kyle Shanahan-esque offense. He's been a solid contributor in this scheme before when health permits but presents as no more than a depth piece for now. The 27-year-old is a solid deep-league handcuff for now, but can be safely avoided in redraft circles unless injuries force him into action.

May 6 2:50pm ET

Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. won't be assured of a roster spot out of training camp this summer as part of a crowded backfield that includes Raheem Mostert, De'Von Achane and rookie fourth-rounder Jaylen Wright. The Dolphins also have Salvon Ahmed and Chris Brooks in the RB room. Head coach Mike McDaniel has an affinity for Wilson dating back to their time together with the San Francisco 49ers, but the fact remains that Mostert, Achane and Wright will be locks for the roster. The former undrafted free agent out of North Texas failed to take advantage of Achane's injuries in 2023 and only played in 10 games (zero starts) himself, running for just 188 yards and no touchdowns on 41 carries while adding 14 receptions for 85 yards and no touchdowns.
