Despite a previous report saying that he was signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday, kicker Wil Lutz re-signed with the Denver Broncos on an undisclosed two-year deal, according to his agent, John Perla. Lutz will continue to kick for head coach Sean Payton, although moving to Jacksonville would have likely been much more lucrative for his 2024 fantasy value. The Broncos are in rebuilding mode and have moved on from quarterback Russell Wilson, which means their offense could struggle to get into field-goal range more often under Jarrett Stidham or another signal-caller. Lutz finished as the No. 18 fantasy kicker in 2023 by making 30 of his 34 field-goal tries and 29 of his 31 extra points. With Wilson now gone and an offense in flux, Lutz's fantasy ceiling and floor are likely going to be lower in his second year with the team.

Jan 6 2:20pm ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz has had his moments in his first year with the Broncos as a stream-worthy kicker in fantasy lineups, but the Week 18 regular season finale on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders won't be one of them. Lutz has made 88.2 percent of his field goals (30-for-34) this year and has missed two of his 29 extra-point attempts. He also made three of four field-goal opportunities in last week's win over the Los Angeles Chargers in quarterback Jarrett Stidham's first start. The Broncos will face a stiffer defensive matchup in the Raiders this weekend, and Vegas has allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game (4.8) to opposing kickers in the last five weeks. Fantasy managers shouldn't want to trust a kicker in lineups in a meaningless game in an offense run by Stidham.

Dec 30 2:20pm ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz disappointed fantasy managers that started him in the Week 16 loss to the New England Patriots in a game in which he made just one extra point and missed his lone field-goal try. Lutz wasn't fantasy relevant at all early in the year but then had a strong stretch from Weeks 7-11 where he made 14 of 15 field-goal attempts and was successful on four of his five point-after tries to vault him into fantasy relevance. The 29-year-old has cooled off in four games since, though, attempting just four field goals and eight extra points. Despite the Broncos moving to quarterback Jarrett Stidham as their starter for the final two weeks of the regular season, Lutz will have some bounce-back appeal as a low-end starting kicker in fantasy in Week 17 against a Los Angeles Chargers defense that's allowing 24.6 points per game this year.

Dec 16 11:40am ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz has a lot of things working in his favor for a Saturday night primetime matchup against the hosting Detroit Lions. For one, Lutz will be kicking indoors and won't have to deal with the elements. The Lions defense has also been a top-10 matchup for opposing kickers in the last five weeks, and their defense overall has allowed 24.2 points per game in 2023. Lutz has cooled off a bit of late since a strong four-game run that saw him make 14 of 15 field-goal attempts from Weeks 7-11 (bye in Week 9). But the 29-year-old booter now ranks seventh overall in total fantasy points at his position and has made 92.9 percent of his 28 field-goal attempts (just two misses) in his first year in Denver. Lutz makes for a solid kicker streamer for Week 15 action.

Dec 9 2:40pm ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz has quietly been a top-10 fantasy kicker through the first 13 weeks of the 2023 season. Most of his production came during Denver's five-game winning streak, but it has come after a slow start in his first year in Denver. After seeing at least four field-goal attempts in three of four games from Weeks 7-11 (a bye in Week 9), Lutz has cooled off the last two games and has only three field-goal tries while making all five of his extra points. The Los Angeles Chargers, Lutz's Week 14 opponent, haven't been the best of matchups for opposing kickers this year, but he's still on the streaming radar in fantasy because of the fact that he's missed only four kicks total this year -- 25-for-27 on field goals and 20-for-22 on point-after tries. The 29-year-old will also be kicking indoors this weekend, making him slightly more attractive.

Dec 2 2:40pm ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz (hip) put in a full practice on Friday and was removed from the Week 13 injury report. He will be active on Sunday against the Houston Texans and will be on the streaming radar for fantasy managers scrambling at the position with six teams on bye this week. Lutz has been a top-five fantasy kicker during Denver's five-game winning streak, making 12 of his 13 field-goal attempts and six of his seven extra-point tries. The Texans have been middle of the pack in terms of fantasy points allowed to kickers in 2023, but in the last five weeks, they've allowed nine points per game to the position, the fourth-most in the NFL. The 29-year-old Lutz has missed only two of his 25 field-goal attempts on the year, including three of four tries from 50-plus yards. He's on the rise.

Nov 30 6:30pm ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz (hip) stayed limited at practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Lutz is dealing with a right-hip injury heading into a Week 13 matchup against the Houston Texans on the road. A full practice on Friday would give Lutz a great chance at serving as the starting kicker for the Broncos this Sunday. The 29-year-old has been very accurate in his first season in Denver, missing just two of his 26 field-goal attempts on the year. He wasn't much of a fantasy asset for the first half of the year, but Denver's offense has been much more productive during their current five-game winning streak, affording Lutz 17 field-goal tries over that span. Entering this weekend's contest in Houston, Lutz is on the streaming radar at the position if he's able to play.

Nov 29 9:00pm ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz was limited in practice with a hip issue on Wednesday. Lutz hit both of his field goals in a Week 12 win over the Cleveland Browns but he will open this week of practice in a limited fashion as the Broncos prepare to take on the Houston Texans in Week 13. Lutz's participation in Thursday and Friday's practices should be a good indication as to whether he will be able to kick against Houston on Sunday. Stay tuned.

From RotoBaller

Nov 27 1:20am ET

Despite the tough matchup in Week 12 against the Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz rewarded fantasy managers by making both of his field-goal attempts (long of 34 yards) and all three of his extra-point tries in the team's 29-12 win on Sunday in Denver. Lutz wasn't as busy with field-goal opportunities as he had been in recent weeks during Denver's winning streak, but he still managed to finish as a top-10 fantasy kicker on the week with nine total points. The Broncos' offense has been more consistent in sustaining drives during their five-game winning streak, but most importantly they aren't turning the ball over. Lutz has been on the streaming radar during Denver's winning streak and should continue to be a fantasy kicking option in a good matchup next week against the Houston Texans.

From RotoBaller

Nov 25 1:50pm ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz has vaulted into the top 10 at the kicking position in terms of overall fantasy points on the season during the Broncos' four-game winning streak. Lutz attempted just nine field goals (eight made) in the first six games, but during the four-game winning streak, he's gone 14-for-15 on field-goal tries while making four of his five extra points. The 29-year-old kicker has missed just two of his 24 field-goal attempts on the year and two of his 17 extra-point tries. Lutz has been solid for the Broncos, but he's a Week 12 fade while going against a Cleveland Browns defense that has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points per game (4.8) to kickers in 2023. Sunday's game figures to be low-scoring, so it would be a surprise if Lutz gets another chance to attempt four or five field goals like he has in three of the last four games.

From RotoBaller

Nov 20 12:50am ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz has been a high-end fantasy kicker in the last four weeks in a Denver offense that has been settling for a lot of field goals. In the 21-20 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football, Lutz made a season-high five field goals (long of 52 yards) and didn't attempt an extra point with the team going for a two-point conversion late in the fourth quarter after their lone touchdown of the night. The 29-year-old hit the game-winning field goal on Monday night in Week 10 and has now attempted 15 field goals (one miss) in the last four games after attempting nine field goals from Weeks 1-6. Lutz is now firmly on the streaming radar at the position, although fantasy managers should shy away from him in Week 12 against the Cleveland Browns. He has now gone 22-for-24 on field-goal tries in 10 games in his first year in Denver.

From RotoBaller

Nov 18 2:10pm ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz had his second-best game of the season from a fantasy perspective in the Week 10 win over the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, which included Lutz hitting the game-winning field goal after a penalty on Buffalo for too many men on the field gave him a second chance. He made all four of his field goals but missed his lone extra-point try. The 29-year-old has had four field-goal attempts in two of the last three games, but overall he's tied for 19th at his position in total fantasy points and has attempted 19 field goals in nine games (tied for 16th). Lutz has been a bit more attractive as a deep-league kicking streamer during Denver's three-game winning streak, but his floor and ceiling remain rather low from a fantasy perspective, and the Minnesota Vikings, Lutz's Week 11 opponent, haven't really been an outstanding matchup for opposing kickers in 2023.

From RotoBaller

Nov 14 2:10am ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz got a second chance at the end of the fourth quarter on Monday night to be the hero after a penalty on the Buffalo Bills for having too many men on the field, and he delivered for his fourth successful field goal of the night to send the Broncos home happy in a 24-22 victory. The 29-year-old wasn't great by any means on a windy night in Buffalo, though, as he also missed an extra point early in the game. However, he made four field goals for the second time in three games and finished as a top-five fantasy kicker in Week 10. Lutz hadn't been seeing many field-goal opportunities until the team's recent three-game winning streak, but he's now made nine field goals in the last three contests and has missed just two of his 15 field-goal tries in 2023. Lutz's fantasy stock as a deep-league streamer is on the rise heading into a Week 11 Sunday night showdown against the Minnesota Vikings.

From RotoBaller

Nov 12 11:10am ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz hasn't really been anything more than a deep-league fantasy streamer at the kicking position despite missing only two field goals in his first year in Denver. In his last game in the Week 8 upset over the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs, Lutz made all three of his extra points and one of his two field-goal attempts a week after going 4-for-4 on field goals. After nine weeks, the former Saints kicker ranks 26th in overall fantasy points at the position. He's just not seeing enough field-goal chances (15) to put him in the streaming picture on a weekly basis. On top of it, the Buffalo Bills, Lutz's Week 10 opponent, allow the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing kickers this year.

From RotoBaller

Oct 23 12:20am ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz played a big part in the team's 19-17 win over the visiting Green Bay Packers on Sunday in Week 7. Lutz made a season-high four field goals (with a long of 52 yards) and also his lone extra-point try in a game that didn't feature much offense from either team. It comes a week after the 29-year-old didn't attempt a single kick in the ugly 19-8 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Lutz missed a field goal and an extra point in his debut with the Broncos in Week 1, but he hasn't missed a field goal (10-for-10) or a PAT (11-for-11) since then. He's mostly been a deep-league streaming option at the kicker position in fantasy, so his big performance in Week 7 won't necessarily translate to fantasy success in a Week 8 rematch with the Chiefs.

From RotoBaller

Oct 21 1:40pm ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz has become a deep-league streaming option, at best, through the first six weeks of the 2023 season. The Green Bay Packers, Denver's Week 7 opponent, have allowed 22.6 points per game in five contests. They around the middle of the pack in terms of fantasy points allowed per game to kickers at 7.8. Denver's offense should be able to rebound after putting up just eight points in last Thursday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. However, Lutz hasn't had a ton of fantasy upside in his first year with Denver, as he's been afforded just nine field-goal attempts (tied for 26th in the league) and comes into this weekend tied for 25th in overall fantasy points.

From RotoBaller

Oct 12 1:20am ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz checks in tied for 14th in terms of overall fantasy points at his position through the first five weeks of the season on the back of eight made field goals on nine attempts while going 11 for 12 on his extra-point tries. He hasn't missed a kick since missing a field goal and extra point in the season opener. However, he's not a recommended fantasy streamer in a Week 6 divisional clash with the Kansas City Chiefs on the road on Thursday night. The Broncos will most likely be chasing points in this one and won't have the luxury of settling for field goals. Besides, Lutz has only attempted nine field goals in five games, which is tied for 19th in the NFL. The Chiefs, on the other hand, are allowing just 5.6 fantasy points per game to opposing kickers.

From RotoBaller

Oct 6 1:30am ET

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz missed a field goal and an extra point in his debut with the team in the season opener, but since then he's made all five of his field-goal attempts and all nine of his extra-point tries in three games. Heading into Week 5 against the New York Jets in Denver, Lutz is tied for 18th in overall fantasy points at the kicking position with three others. The Broncos' improved offensive efficiency overall and in the red zone has hurt Lutz, as he's attempted just seven field goals through four games, which is tied for 20th in the league. The good news is that the Jets have allowed 11 fantasy points per game so far to kickers, which is the second-most in the NFL. The 29-year-old can be avoided in 12-team leagues, but he might be worth a look as a streaming sleeper in deeper fantasy setups this weekend.
