New York Giants kicker Graham Gano (hamstring) was placed on IR on Tuesday. In perhaps a prophetic move, the Giants signed veteran kicker Greg Joseph to their active roster earlier in the day. Gano injured his hamstring in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders. Following his injury, the Giants did not attempt a kick and instead opted to go for two after every touchdown. While Gano had a tough 2023 season for the Giants, he had been solid over the previous three seasons. Joseph has extensive experience and should be able to fill in valiantly for the Giants in while Gano recovers.

Updating a previous report, New York Giants PK Graham Gano (hamstring) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
From TheHuddle
New York Giants kicker Graham Gano (hamstring) will miss "a few weeks" with a hamstring injury, according to head coach Brian Daboll. The Giants scored three touchdowns in their Week 2 loss to the division-rival Washington Commanders, but not having a kicker left them short after a missed extra point from their punter and two failed two-point conversions in a three-point defeat. The 37-year-old veteran was included on the Week 2 injury report but suited up on Sunday against Washington before injuring his hammy early in the game and being ruled out. Gano seems likely to miss at least Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns, and he'll probably be held out with a short turnaround in Week 4 against the division-rival Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, Sept. 26. With Gano out, the Giants could elevate kicker Jude McAtamney from their practice squad. Fantasy managers should avoid this kicking situation.

New York Giants PK Graham Gano (hamstring) is expected to miss a few weeks, head coach Brian Daboll told reporters Monday, Sept. 16.
From TheHuddle
New York Giants kicker Graham Gano (hamstring) exited Sunday's matchup against the Washington Commanders. The veteran popped up on the injury report on Saturday night due to a groin issue. However, while he initially believed he aggravated the ailment, it was actually a hamstring injury that kept him out for the remainder of Week 2. Gano made both field goal tries during the loss to the Vikings in Week 1, including a 50-yard attempt. But considering his history, fantasy managers may not see him on the field in Week 3 against the Browns, although it's still too early to speculate.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants PK Graham Gano (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury during the Week 2 game and is considered doubtful to return.
From TheHuddle
New York Giants kicker Graham Gano (groin) is doubtful to return to Sunday's matchup with the Washington Commanders. The veteran popped up on Saturday's edition of the injury report because of a groin injury. However, he didn't have a game status, so most assumed he was healthy enough to suit up. While that was true at the time, it now appears the issue could keep him out for the remainder of Week 2. Fantasy managers also shouldn't be surprised to see Gano miss time, although it's too early to speculate. The Giants don't have an emergency replacement, meaning New York may need to be more aggressive than usual on the offensive end for the rest of the contest.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants kicker Graham Gano (groin) was added to the injury report heading into Sunday's matchup against the Commanders. However, he doesn't carry a game status, meaning he's expected to see the field in Week 2. The 37-year-old is coming off a rough season. But in the Week 1 loss to the Vikings, he made both kicks, including a 50-yard attempt. With questions surrounding the potency of the Giants offense, Gano may be needed more than ever, giving him a higher upside than most others at the position, even with his current ailment.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants PK Graham Gano (groin) was added to the injury report on Saturday, Sept. 14, but does not have a game status and is expected to play.
From TheHuddle
New York Giants kicker Graham Gano steps into Week 2 against the Washington Commanders, looking to rebound after a quiet start in Week 1. Despite only managing two field goals against Minnesota, Gano is still a reliable scoring option, as he has a career average field goal percentage of 83.7%, including an impressive 43-for-64 from 50+ yards. Facing a Washington defense that allowed 37 points in Week 1, Gano's opportunity for kicks should be plentiful, especially if the Giants stall in the red zone. Expect Gano to hover around double-digit fantasy points, as the Commanders' bend-don't-break defense could set him up for several mid-range field goal attempts.
From RotoBaller
New York Giants kicker Graham Gano enters Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings as a sneaky yet reliable fantasy option. Despite only playing eight games last season, Gano is healthy again and has a career average field goal percentage of 83.7%, including an impressive 43-for-64 from 50+ yards. With the Giants offense projected to struggle to move the ball effectively, Gano could see few field goal opportunities on Sunday. Look elsewhere on the waiver wire until we get more answers about the Giants offense.
