While New York Giants president and CEO John Mara still has faith in quarterback Daniel Jones (knee), he told reporters on Monday at the NFL meetings that he wouldn't stop general manager Joe Schoen from taking a quarterback in the upcoming draft. "I think the Daniel (Jones) we saw in 2022 is the real deal. I still have all the confidence in the world in him. Yes, I think we all expect him to be the starter in 2024," Mara said. Jones is no lock to be ready for Week 1 in 2024 after tearing his ACL last year, but the Giants continue to stay that when he's healthy, he'll be the team's starter under center. The G-Men aren't giving up on the former sixth overall pick in 2019 out of Duke, but 2024 might be his make-or-break season. Drafting a QB this year would give the Giants some insurance at the position.

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said there's no guarantee that quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) will be ready for Week 1, but Daboll said "when he gets back, he'll be the guy." The Giants are sticking with Jones as their starter, but he's coming off a torn right ACL in 2023 and might not be ready to go for the start of the 2024 season this fall. The 26-year-old had a career year in Daboll's first season as head coach in 2022, but Jones disappointed behind a terrible offensive line last year before blowing his knee out. Jones resumed throwing in early February and could take part in 7-on-7 drills this spring, but it appears now there's a chance that Drew Lock could be under center for the G-Men in Week 1. Jones is only one year into his four-year, $160 million extension and the Giants could be forced to move on if he doesn't improve in 2024.

The New York Giants signed free-agent offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor to a two-year, $14 million deal on Monday. The 6-foot-4, 330-pounder spent the last three seasons with the Raiders, playing under new Giants offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo the last two years. The 29-year-old gave up just six sacks in 905 offensive snaps for the Raiders last year in all 17 games, according to Pro Football Focus. He was originally a fifth-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens in 2018 and also played two years with the New England Patriots before joining the Raiders. The Giants also signed guard Jon Runyan on Monday, so they are clearly looking to upgrade what was a terrible offensive line in 2023. Quarterback Daniel Jones was sacked 30 times last year before tearing the ACL in his knee in November. Eluemunor will give New York solid depth at the tackle spots behind Andrew Thomas and Evan Neal.

The New York Giants have so many offseason needs in 2024, but The Athletic's Charlotte Carroll thinks their most pressing need is at offensive line, following a season in which the Giants allowed the second-most sacks (85) in NFL history. Their atrocious offensive line is one of the reasons quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) was unable to stay healthy. Without a healthy and successful offensive line, Jones and the rest of New York's offense won't have much of a chance. The G-Men are going to need to find upgrades along their offensive line in both free agency and the upcoming NFL draft in free agency. New York started its offensive-line renovations this offseason by cutting guard Mark Glowinski this week.

New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen said that quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) started stationary throwing two weeks ago, and the team thinks he could do 7-on-7 work this spring. Jones is currently on track to be ready for the start of training camp this summer. "I have faith in Daniel (Jones) as our starting quarterback," Schoen said. Despite Jones tearing his ACL last year, the Giants continue to put their faith in him as their starter going into the 2024 season, although they won't hesitate to add a QB in the upcoming NFL draft if the situation presents itself. The 27-year-old signed a four-year, $160 million extension before the 2023 season looked pretty bad behind an atrocious offensive line last season before his injury. If Jones struggles again early in 2024, the Giants could be looking to move on from him sooner than later.

If the situation presents itself in this year's NFL draft, the New York Giants would be open to pulling a trigger on a quarterback, according to ESPN New York's Jordan Raanan. Current starting QB Daniel Jones (knee), who was the sixth overall pick in 2019, has rarely been healthy in his five seasons and is rehabbing from a torn ACL this offseason. If head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen aren't comfortable putting all their chips on the table with Jones as the long-term future at the position, they could look to this year's draft to find Jones' potential replacement. The G-Men have the sixth overall pick and two second-round selections in which they could use to take a rookie signal-caller. It doesn't sound like the Giants have much confidence in Jones moving forward, and neither should fantasy managers.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) said his rehab from a torn right ACL is "going well." Jones tore his ACL on Nov. 5 and missed the rest of the year. "I'm making progress. I'm three months into it, and I've started running on the anti-gravity treadmill. It's going well," Jones said. The 26-year-old former sixth overall pick in 2019 out of Duke played in just six games in 2023 after signing a four-year, $160 million contract extension last offseason. The Giants are hoping he'll stay healthy in 2024 and bounce back while costing $47 million against the salary cap. They continue to say that they are committed to him as their starter under center, but if he disappoints again in 2024, they could decide to move on quickly. Jones' rushing ability helps his fantasy cause, but overall he has a low fantasy ceiling as a QB2.

New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen reiterated on Tuesday that the plan is for quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) to be the starter entering training camp this summer. However, Schoen didn't rule out the team drafting another quarterback this year -- they have the sixth overall pick in the first round. The Giants signed Jones to a four-year, $160 million extension last offseason but he played in just six games in 2023 before suffering a season-ending torn ACL in his right knee. The 26-year-old wasn't good in his six games, either, going 108-for-160 for 909 yards (5.7 yards per attempt), two touchdowns and six interceptions. In Jones' defense, the Giants' offensive line was among the worst in the league. Barring a setback, Jones should be ready for the start of the 2024 regular season, but at best, he'll be a QB2 for fantasy managers with limited upside coming off a major injury.

Jan 23 7:30pm CT

Former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning said he still believes in current Giants QB Daniel Hudson as the team's starter moving forward. "Obviously with the injuries, it's not fun, but I know he's determined. I know he wants to be in New York. It's not an easy place to play but he has the mindset. He has the mentality. I know he'll do everything possible to get back and to get back to playing at a high level," Manning said. Jones tore his ACL, among other injuries, and ended up playing in just six games in 2023, going 1-5 with two touchdowns and six interceptions. It came after signing a four-year, $160 million contract last offseason following a 3,000-yard season and a playoff appearance. It's nice that Manning has faith in the 26-year-old signal-caller, but for fantasy purposes, Jones should probably only be rostered in two-QB leagues to begin next season.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) said he's continuing to rehab his knee and plans to be ready to play by the start of training camp. Jones tore his ACL in early November, ending his season. Giants' GM Joe Schoen noted that the team plans to continue to build around Jones, but understands that he may not be ready to play in Week 1. The Giants own the sixth-overall pick in the NFL Draft and may use that asset to select another franchise quarterback.

Dec 6 9:30pm CT

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) said that his goal is to be back for the start of training camp next summer. Jones will miss the rest of the year after suffering a torn right ACL in Week 9, but the good news is that he didn't have any other structural damage other than to his ACL. The 26-year-old has a long and grueling recovery ahead of him, but the Giants remain committed to him as their starter once he's back healthy next fall. Jones had the best season of his career in the first year working with head coach Brian Daboll in 2022 and even led the G-Men to a postseason win, but he regressed this year, completing 67.5% of his 160 attempts for 909 yards, only two touchdowns and six interceptions in six starts. Jones won't be very attractive as a low-end QB2 target in fantasy in 2024 while coming off a major knee injury.

New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen said that the expectation is that quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) will be the team's starting quarterback when he is healthy. It won't stop team brass from addressing the QB room in free agency or the draft, though. Schoen mentioned that veteran Tyrod Taylor (ribs) is a pending free agent and undrafted rookie Tommy Devito is under contract. Jones is facing an eight- to 10-month recovery after having surgery to fix a torn right ACL on Nov. 22. The 26-year-old had a disastrous 2023 campaign before suffering a season-ending ACL injury, and he also missed some time with a neck ailment. A terrible and beat up offensive line didn't help, but aside from his rushing ability, Jones hasn't shown much as a passer outside of his solid 2022 season.

Nov 22 9:40pm CT

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) had successful surgery on Wednesday to fix a torn ACL in his right knee and is now facing eight to 10 months of recovery. The surgery was performed by team physician Dr. Scott Rodeo in New York. Jones' recovery timetable will take him right up to the start of training camp next summer. The 26-year-old's season didn't go as planned after signing a four-year, $160 million deal earlier in the year, and he's due another $35.5 million in guaranteed pay in 2024. Jones had just two touchdowns and six interceptions in six games while being sacked 30 times, and he also missed some time with a neck injury. The G-Men will be hoping he can bounce back in 2024 after a career-best campaign in 2022, although he may never be more than a low-upside QB2 in fantasy. Rookie Tommy Devito will continue to lead the Giants offense moving forward.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) told Kay Adams that he will have surgery in New York on Wednesday to fix the torn ACL that he suffered in the Week 9 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Jones said that Wednesday was the best time for the procedure and that he'll have plenty of football to watch as he recovers. He played in six games in 2023 before his season-ending knee injury and also dealt with a neck injury before tearing his ACL. Veteran backup Tyrod Taylor (ribs) is on Injured Reserve and may not make it back this year either, leaving third-stringer and undrafted rookie Tommy Devito as the starter under center. Jones completed a career-high 67.5% of his passes for 909 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions in his six starts this year.

Dynasty | Daniel Jones ACL injury has been confirmed. Dynasty Analysis: If the Giants' ship was listing prior to week nine, it has now capsized sunk. The team has been miserable in 2023 following their choice to lock up Jones with a large contract and deciding not to move Saquon Barkley prior to last week's trade deadline. They will enter 2024 with multiple question marks and staring down the barrel of a full rebuild. As for Jones, he's signed through the 2026 season and will be on thin ice during the next offseason.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Nov 6 11:20am CT

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll confirmed on Monday that quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) suffered a torn right ACL during the Week 9 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. In his first game back after missing three games with a neck injury, Jones' right knee buckled in a non-contact injury, ending his 2023 season. After he put up the best season of his career in 2022, the 26-year-old will end this year with a career-high 67.5 completion percentage on only 160 pass attempts for 909 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions in six games played. The injury comes after he signed a four-year, $160 million extension back in March with $35.5 million guaranteed next year. Veteran Tyrod Taylor (ribs) missed Week 9 due to injury and could remain out moving forward, so the G-Men may have no choice but to roll with undrafted rookie Tommy Devito until Taylor is healthy again.

Dynasty | The Giants reportedly believe quarterback Daniel Jones tore his ACL in a blowout loss to the Raiders. Dynasty Analysis: Jones got a contract extension in the off-season and may well end up finishing the year with just two touchdowns and six interceptions in parts of six games. New York is a total mess at 2-7 and this could just be the bump on the table that makes the house of cards fall to the ground. Jones is our QB18 at the moment but that ranking is going to tumble should the Giants be right about his knee injury.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Nov 5 6:40pm CT

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) is believed to have suffered a torn ACL during Sunday's meeting with the Las Vegas Raiders. The oft-injured signal-caller, who returned for this one after being sidelined for weeks with a neck issue, didn't last long before going down with a non-contact injury. He could be done for the season, assuming an upcoming MRI confirms the diagnosis, especially since the Giants aren't looking like a postseason team. As a result, Tommy Devito, who was 15-for-20 passing for 175 yards, a touchdown, and two picks in Week 9, is in line to start moving ahead. However, with Tyrod Taylor (ribs) on injured reserve, the Giants may look to bring someone in from the outside.

From RotoBaller

Nov 5 5:30pm CT

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) won't return to Sunday's game against the Raiders. The veteran signal-caller, who returned for this one after missing time with a neck issue, appeared to suffer a non-contact knee injury. However, the Giants haven't released any more information, so Jones may be undergoing extensive testing to determine the severity of the injury. With Tyrod Taylor (ribs) on injured reserve, the Giants hope Jones can play in Week 10 versus the Dallas Cowboys. Unfortunately, things aren't looking good, meaning Tommy Devito would be under center. But given DeVito's struggles, New York may look for alternate options. Either way, the situation isn't ideal for any of the Giants' pass-catchers. It's also not welcome news for Saquon Barkley, with the oft-injured running back in line to get more touches potentially.

From RotoBaller

Nov 5 4:20pm CT

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) exited the Week 9 meeting with the Raiders. The signal-caller, who has been out since injuring his neck in Week 5 against the Miami Dolphins, suffered a knee injury early in the second quarter. But considering he went down with a non-contact injury, Jones may be dealing with something serious. Nevertheless, Tommy Devito is in under center, potentially for the remainder of the contest. If that's the case, Jones will finish with 25 yards off 4-for-9 passing.
