With the Pittsburgh Steelers hiring former Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith as their new offensive coordinator on Tuesday, it signals that they are committed to being a run-first team, which is good news for the fantasy stock of both running backs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren. Smith underwhelmed in three years in Atlanta, but his body of work in the NFL shows he's well-positioned to utilize a roster that has a potentially dominant RB tandem, especially if paired with an above-average offensive line and serviceable quarterback. Smith's offenses in Atlanta and Tennessee consistently had some of the NFL's best rushing attacks. "I think we have two high-performing running backs in Najee and Jaylen and they, along with an improving offensive line, can be the foundation of success going forward," owner Art Rooney II said.

Dynasty | Steelers running back Jaylen Warren had 38 rushing yards, two catches and 16 receiving yards in a Wild Card loss to Buffalo. Dynasty Analysis: It was much of the same in the playoffs for Warren, who found himself stuck on the wrong side of a "1A" and "1B" in a timeshare with Najee Harris for virtually the entire season. While more explosive than Harris, the Steelers seem more than content employing both of these runners. Harris is under contract for one more season and his fifth-year option is also looming. At this point, managers of Warren need to hope that option is declined and Warren gets the job a year from now. He could be a "buy low" option in dynasty leagues for patient managers this off-season.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren handled eight carries for 38 yards and two receptions for 16 yards in the team's wild-card loss to the Buffalo Bills. Although Warren was more efficient than backfield mate Najee Harris, neither player made much of an impact on Monday. Pittsburgh struggled early on in the contest and was forced to throw after surrendering 21 quick points. Despite ending the season with disappointment, the 25-year-old enjoyed a breakout campaign in which he totaled over 1,000 yards from scrimmage and ranked third amongst all NFL running backs in yards per carry. He should retain a prominent role in the Steelers' offense along with Harris next season.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren is set to make his NFL postseason debut in a wild-card bout with the Buffalo Bills. Although Najee Harris has been leading the charge for Pittsburgh's running game as of late, Warren should see plenty of opportunities on Sunday as well. Extreme winter weather conditions are expected in Buffalo which could make things difficult for quarterback Mason Rudolph and the Steelers' passing attack. Warren should mix in with Harris frequently on the ground and additionally operate as a dependable check-down option. Fantasy managers can consider the second-year pro as a solid RB2 this weekend.

Dynasty | Steelers running back Najee Harris had 112 rushing yards and a touchdown in Pittsburgh's final week win against Baltimore. Dynasty Analysis: The Steelers rode the back of Harris to back into the playoffs as the Ravens were resting most of their starters. Harris saved his best for last as he posted his only two 100-yard rushing games in the final two weeks of the season. It was a weird season for Harris, who was seemingly surpassed as the "starter" by Jaylen Warren, only to see his role increase to the point where he posted a whopping 53 carries the past two weeks. Harris is going to be a tough player to value this off-season as it seems he's a relatively one dimensional back who may be best used in a timeshare situation.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Jan 6 10:30pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren finished with nine carries for 33 yards and five receptions for 17 yards on five targets in the team's 17-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Rainy weather conditions in Baltimore caused issues with ball security throughout the contest, and Warren himself fumbled twice with one resulting in a turnover. The second-year pro took a backseat to Najee Harris, who rushed for over 100 yards and found the end zone. Both backs were utilized through the air as Pittsburgh's offense largely operated close to the line of scrimmage. Warren's production was a surprise for fantasy managers this season, and his strong campaign could continue if the Steelers sneak into the playoffs.

Jan 5 9:30pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren is fresh off of a stellar performance in Week 17 and will hope to have similar success against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday. While this contest is meaningless for the Ravens, who have already secured the top seed in the AFC, Pittsburgh can drastically increase its chances of a playoff berth with a victory. That said, Warren should continue to operate alongside Najee Harris as a change-of-pace back and pass-catching weapon against a defense that is likely to rest several starters. The Steelers' offense has been effective with Mason Rudolph under center, so fantasy managers should have confidence deploying Warren as a high-end flex option.

Dec 31 7:40pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren turned 13 carries into 75 rushing yards and a touchdown and hauled in all four of his targets for 23 receiving yards in a 30-23 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Although Warren was out-gained by teammate Najee Harris, who ran for 122 yards and scored twice, he retained full control of the pass-catching role out of the backfield. The 25-year-old looked as explosive as ever on Sunday and found the end zone from 18 yards out in the first quarter for his first touchdown since Week 11. Warren and the Steelers will hope to keep rolling against the division-rival Baltimore Ravens next week.

From RotoBaller

Dec 29 7:10pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren has been heavily involved as a receiver over the past three weeks and will look to capitalize on a solid matchup against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17. With Mason Rudolph at quarterback last week, Warren earned six targets and recorded five receptions for 30 yards, making it the third consecutive contest in which he saw at least five opportunities through the air. Seattle's defense has been more generous to the run than the pass this season but has still given up a fair amount of receiving production to opposing running backs. Fantasy managers should expect the 25-year-old to get double-digit touches on Sunday and can view him as a flex option in PPR formats.

From RotoBaller

Dec 23 9:30pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren turned eight carries into 24 yards and secured five of his targets for 30 yards in a 34-11 win over the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals. Warren was outshined by teammate Najee Harris on the ground, but once again was given every receiving opportunity out of the backfield. He also impacted the game in other areas, specifically when he delivered a huge block to clear the way for a rushing touchdown by Calvin Austin III in the second quarter. It remains to be seen if Kenny Pickett (ankle) will return in Week 17, but the Steelers' offense was effective with Mason Rudolph under center. If Rudolph draws another start against the Seattle Seahawks, Warren should be considered a solid flex option in PPR formats.

From RotoBaller

Dec 22 6:50pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren is set to face the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16 after posting fewer than 10 half-PPR fantasy points in four consecutive games. Warren was shut down by Cincinnati in Week 12 while Najee Harris managed his best showing of the season. Although Harris typically runs ahead of Warren, the latter did play on more snaps last week with Harris losing a fumble in the third quarter. There is little evidence to suggest that Warren will lead Pittsburgh's backfield moving forward, but at worst, the split should remain fairly even. While it is difficult to project the Steelers for much success on Saturday with Mason Rudolph starting at quarterback, Warren's consistent utilization in the passing game keeps him on the fantasy radar as a flex option.

Dec 17 1:30am ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren turned 10 carries into 40 yards and secured five of his six targets for an additional 28 yards in a 30-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Although neither player delivered a great fantasy performance, Warren was far more efficient than Najee Harris and was given all of the receiving work out of the backfield. His output was underwhelming in a plus matchup but he at least provided some value in PPR formats. While Pittsburgh's dormant offense keeps Warren out of RB2 consideration, his consistent utilization as a pass-catcher will make him a low-end flex option against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16.

From RotoBaller

Dec 15 8:40pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren failed to eclipse double-digit fantasy points in each of his past three outings but could certainly turn things around in a Week 15 showdown with the Indianapolis Colts. Fantasy backs have routinely posted solid numbers against Indianapolis this season, both on the ground and through the air. This bodes well for Warren, who has been running behind teammate Najee Harris but is still being utilized as a change-of-pace option and pass-catcher. Although his touchdown upside is fairly limited in the ineffective Pittsburgh offense, Warren has big-play potential and can be considered as a flex option on Saturday.

From RotoBaller

Dec 7 11:50pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren managed just 11 yards on seven carries and hauled in four of his five targets for 29 yards in a Week 14 loss to the New England Patriots. Although Warren's seven carries were his fewest in a contest since Week 8, his utilization in the passing game was encouraging. Still, it didn't amount to much fantasy production as the Patriots held Warren and Najee Harris to 88 total yards combined. Fortunately, Warren will have a good shot to return to form in Week 15 against a struggling Indianapolis Colts defense.

From RotoBaller

Dec 6 6:50pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren has cooled off significantly over the past two weeks after a dominant stretch from Weeks 9 through 11 and will be looking to bounce back against the New England Patriots on Thursday night. Although the Steelers are optimistic that Najee Harris (knee) will suit up, Warren could still be in line for an increased workload if Harris is at all limited. New England has been stout against fantasy running backs recently, but Warren should be involved in the passing game and always offers a high ceiling with his explosiveness. He'll be a must-start option if Harris is surprisingly ruled out but can otherwise be viewed as a solid RB2 in this matchup.

From RotoBaller

Dec 3 7:50pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren handled nine carries for 59 yards and lost four yards on his only reception of a 24-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Warren was given eight fewer touches than backfield mate Najee Harris but was far more efficient on the ground. After showing signs of improvement in Week 12, Pittsburgh's offense took a step backward on Sunday against a struggling Arizona defense. With Kenny Pickett's (ankle) availability in question, Warren will be difficult to trust against the New England Patriots on Thursday night.

From RotoBaller

Dec 3 6:13pm ET

Dynasty | Steelers running back Jaylen Warren had 59 rushing yards, one catch and -4 receiving yards in Pittsburgh's loss against Arizona. Dynasty Analysis: Even worse, his nine carries paled in comparison to the 16 from Najee Harris. It seems being named the "starter" a couple of weeks ago hasn't really amounted to much as Warren and Harris continue to work together in a clear committee attack. Warren is more explosive for sure but having exactly half the total touches between the two this week keeps him in the flex conversation at best moving forward.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Dec 1 6:30pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren was outshined by Najee Harris last week but has a great opportunity to bounce back in Week 13 against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals' run defense has struggled mightily all season, allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to running backs. Warren and Harris are likely to split touches once again on Sunday, putting both firmly in play for fantasy purposes. The 25-year-old Warren has been more explosive this season, however, and is consistently involved as a pass-catcher. Because of this, Warren carries a fair amount of upside and should be started as an RB2.

From RotoBaller

Nov 26 9:40pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren handled 13 carries for 49 yards and added 13 yards on three receptions in a Week 12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Warren lost a fumble in the first quarter but still split backfield work fairly evenly with Najee Harris. It may be difficult to predict which back will have the better fantasy day going forward, but Warren is seeing enough touches to keep him in flex consideration, especially if the Steelers continue to look improved without former offensive coordinator Matt Canada. The 25-year-old will have a great opportunity to bounce back at home next week against a vulnerable Arizona Cardinals run defense.

From RotoBaller

Nov 26 12:10pm ET

With the Pittsburgh Steelers firing offensive coordinator Matt Canada, quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan will now be the team's play-caller and running backs coach Eddie Faulkner will essentially become the interim offensive coordinator moving forward. The new coaching structure will first and foremost focus on what quarterback Kenny Pickett is most comfortable with. They are expected to try and get the receivers involved quickly in Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Most importantly, they are expected to focus on getting the ball more to their star offensive players, specifically running back Jaylen Warren and wide receiver George Pickens. Warren has already been seeing more work alongside Najee Harris in Pittsburgh's backfield, but the Steelers also want to get Pickens going to spark what has been an underwhelming offense, to say the least.
