Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange only caught two passes, but one was for the team's only touchdown in a 47-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills. He finished with 17 yards receiving, catching two of his five targets. Taking over for Evan Engram once again, Strange was a little quieter from a yards perspective compared to last week, but the touchdown gave him a respectable fantasy output. The second-year tight end will likely move back to his original role of clear backup to Engram once the starter returns from injury, but for now, Strange is a solid starting option for teams in desperate need of tight end help, which seems to be most fantasy managers so far this season. As with most tight ends, Strange has a low floor but enough of a ceiling where he is a startable option as long as Engram is out. He will look to catch another touchdown in a Week 4 matchup with the Houston Texans.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange could be a solid play for fantasy managers in a pinch when he faces the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. With Evan Engram officially ruled out, the second-year tight end has a chance to improve on his three catch, 65 yard performance last week against the Cleveland Browns. Similar to the Browns, the Bills are better against the pass than the run, so Trevor Lawrence may not be asked to do too much, but at a weak fantasy position, managers can do much worse than Strange. It's not the greatest matchup for Strange, considering the Bills held stud tight end Trey McBride to just five catches for 30 yards in Week 1, but he has a decent chance of putting up at least a satisfactory performance for fantasy managers. Strange serves as a solid injury replacement in Week 3 despite the less than ideal matchup with the Bills.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange stepped in and played well after a last-minute Evan Engram injury in an 18-13 defeat to the Cleveland Browns. He finished with three receptions for 65 yards on six targets. The second-year pro did not contribute much as a rookie, but made the most of this sudden opportunity. Strange was tied for the team lead in receptions, second in targets, and second in receiving yards. For fantasy managers desperate at the tight end position (which seems to be most as of right now) Strange is an intriguing option as long as Engram is out. For fantasy managers with Engram, if Engram is at risk of missing next week as well, Strange is a perfect direct replacement. Even for non-Engram managers, Strange is worth looking into on waivers for next week. In Week 3, the Jaguars take on the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.
