Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson will square off against the Miami Dolphins this Monday night in one of the tougher matchups of Week 10. Parkinson looked like he was picking up some steam heading into the team's Week 6 bye, but he's totaled a meager four catches and 49 yards in the three contests since. The Dolphins' defense has been excellent against opposing pass-catchers this season, and tight ends are no exception, with the sixth-fewest fantasy points allowed to the position. Additionally, last weekend marked the first time the 25-year-old did not lead LA's tight end room in snaps in 2024, with that honor going to second-year TE Davis Allen. Whether or not Allen has surpassed Parkinson in the pecking order remains to be seen. Still, he's not a recommended option for the matchup on Monday Night Football. The former Stanford Cardinal ranks as RotoBaller's PPR TE27 in Week 10.

Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson will face the Seattle Seahawks in a road matchup this Sunday. The 25-year-old has been mostly quiet this season aside from a 13-target, seven-catch game in Week 5's 24-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers. He'll get a middle-of-the-road matchup in Week 9 against a Seahawks D that's letting up 6.1 yards per pass attempt to opposing offenses -- the twelfth-highest figure in the league. It's possible Parkinson sees more work than usual this week, with wide receivers Puka Nacua (knee) and Jordan Whittington (shoulder) questionable for the contest. Still, he'll be difficult to trust as a viable option due to his lack of consistency. The Stanford alum is RotoBaller's PPR TE27 in this week's rankings.

Oct 24 2:50am CT

Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson went from a high of 13 targets to matching a season-low of two on either side of the team's Week 6 bye. Even with the multi-week absences of Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Puka Nacua (knee), Parkinson never made real headway in establishing himself as a bankable option in the Rams' offense, averaging 3.5 receptions and 33 yards per game. With Kupp set to return to action when Los Angeles takes the field against the Vikings on Thursday night, Parkinson's productivity will be capped. Only two tight ends have logged fantasy scores in the double digits against Minnesota and the defense has given up just two touchdowns to the position so far. Tight end streamers should set their sights on more forgiving matchups coming up on Sunday rather than gamble on Parkinson in the first game of Week 8.

Oct 7 9:10am CT

Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson was heavily involved in the passing game throughout the 24-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers. The former Seattle Seahawk saw more targets in this game than his first two seasons combined and he's already two targets shy of tying his career-high in a single season. Parkinson registered 52 yards and seven receptions on 13 targets against the Packers but couldn't find the end zone. His yardage totals haven't been eye-popping, but he's seen five or more targets in four of the team's five games. The Rams head into their bye week next with a game against the Las Vegas Raiders on deck for Week 7.

Oct 5 8:40am CT

Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson has streaming appeal as a fringe top-12 player at the position heading into Week 5 versus the Green Bay Packers. Parkinson has delivered modest production through four games so far, catching 12 passes for 113 yards. His usage has been impressive as he played 100 percent of snaps in Week 3 and commanded a season-high seven targets in Week 4. This week, Parkinson has a favorable matchup against the Packers, who have allowed the most touchdowns and the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this year. With Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Puca Nakua (knee) still sidelined, there are extra targets available for Parkinson. He's a matchup-based fringe TE1 this week.

Sep 29 9:10pm CT

Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson hauled in 4-of-7 targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 24-18 loss to the Chicago Bears. His long gain of the day went for just 11 yards. Parkinson and the rest of the Rams' passing attack couldn't get much going on a day where their only touchdown came on the back of a three-yard score on the ground by Kyren Williams. Since the loss of superstar wideout Cooper Kupp (ankle), quarterback Matthew Stafford has not thrown for more than 224 yards or more than one touchdown in a single outing. The 25-year-old tight end has seen his volume tick up each of the past three weeks, but he's yet to have a standout game despite the lack of quality options in LA's aerial assault. His seven targets were a season-high, but 7.3 total fantasy points are only good enough for the current TE14 on the week. Unless circumstances drastically change around him, the former fourth-round pick will not be a recommended fantasy option in Week 5 when the team hosts the visiting Green Bay Packers.

Sep 27 11:40pm CT

Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson finished the Week 3 win over the 49ers by amassing three catches for 21 yards. While Cooper Kupp (ankle) and Puka Nacua (knee) were sidelined, Parkinson couldn't take advantage. With Kupp and Nacua out again for the Week 4 matchup with the Bears, targets are up for grabs. Of course, Kyren Williams will be the preferred offensive option for the Rams. However, Parkinson, Demarcus Robinson, Tutu Atwell, Tyler Johnson, and Jordan Whittington have a chance to see more attention from Matthew Stafford. It's anyone's guess who the signal-caller will look to the most versus Chicago, so Parkinson is hard to trust in any fantasy lineup, especially since he has only eight catches this season.

Sep 23 8:00am CT

Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson saw five targets and caught three passes for 21 yards in Week 3 against San Francisco. The five targets tied for a team-high in this game with Tutu Atwell. Quarterback Matthew Stafford spread the ball around in this one with Atwell, Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson, and Jordan Whittington all factoring into the game plan. With Copper Kupp (ankle) and Puka Nacua (knee) out that is to be expected. On top of that, Kyren Williams had 24 carries and was a focal point of the offense, catching the only TD pass in the game from Stafford. All of that made it tough for Parkinson to get going in this one as he was only able to catch three short passes. Until he shows more involvement in the offense, he should be off the fantasy radar, even at the relatively shallow tight-end position.

Sep 21 8:00am CT

Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson has yet to get going this season with five catches for 59 yards in the first two games. He saw just two targets in Week 2 when the Rams were blown out at Arizona. He could be more involved in the game plan with Puka Nacua (knee) and Cooper Kupp (ankle) out but it is tough to trust him until he shows a bit more. The tight-end landscape is tough to navigate in fantasy at the moment but it might be best to look for other options at the position. The week 3 matchup against San Francisco isn't great as the 49ers have allowed just 2.4 fantasy points to the tight end position through two games this season. It's best to leave Parkinson on the bench this week.

Sep 16 9:20am CT

Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson stepped into the starting role after Tyler Higbee (knee) remained on the PUP list heading into the season. After receiving five targets in Week 1, the 25-year-old couldn't take another step up in Week 2 as he was a non-factor in the team's blowout loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Parkinson registered one catch for 12 yards on two targets with five other pass-catchers seeing more targets. While Parkinson has the starting role, his involvement in the offense seems too volatile to rely on him every week. He'll look to bounce back in a game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3. This projects to be an uphill battle against one of the best defenses in the NFL.

Sep 13 6:00pm CT

Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson saw five targets and caught four passes for 47 yards in the team's Week 1 loss at Detroit. Expect more of the same from Parkinson in Week 2 at Arizona with room for more volume and more production. Parkinson is an athletic tight end who was brought in from Seattle to fill in for Tyler Higbee (ACL) until he returns to full health. Expect Matthew Stafford to target Parkinson in the middle of the field and on short and intermediate patterns to the outside. Cooper Kupp should demand a lot of attention as moves throughout the formation so Stafford's secondary progressions could lead him to Parkinson. The reality is the tight-end landscape in fantasy is a bit bleak and Parkinson is a reliable option with some upside for big performances should he find the end zone.

From RotoBaller

Sep 6 6:00pm CT

Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson has been thrust into the starting tight end role for the Rams after signing from Seattle in the offseason. With Tyler Higbee recovering from an ACL injury, Parkinson will operate in the lead role until Higbee is healthy enough to return. The matchup is decent against the Lions in Week 1 after Detroit allowed 12.53 points per game to tight ends in fantasy last season. But the fantasy tight-end landscape makes it difficult to elevate Parkinson into a starting role in leagues that play just one at the position. Parkinson could command some looks on Sunday night but with Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp both healthy it's difficult to see him getting too many valuable targets. Parkinson's night is therefore largely touchdown dependent which makes him a risky play.

Aug 28 8:30am CT

Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson signed with the organization on a three-year, $22.5 million deal this offseason following four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. The former fourth-round pick out of Stanford caught 57 passes for 618 yards and four touchdowns in his first 54 career games. With veteran Tyler Higbee (knee) still recovering from a torn ACL, Parkinson will serve as the team's TE1 in 11-personnel packages to begin the season, according to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic. While the 25-year-old is unlikely to see a healthy target share while competing with Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp for targets, he could be a factor in the red zone early in the 2024 campaign. Fantasy managers shouldn't count on him as an every-week starter, but he could be in streaming contention in favorable matchups.

Jun 13 11:10am CT

Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson will add "real value" to the offense during the 2024 season, head coach Sean McVay said Wednesday (via Cameron DaSilva of The Rams Wire). Specifically, the Rams like Parkinson's size and catch radius, leading them to believe that he could be open the year as their No. 1 tight end if Tyler Higbee (ACL, MCL) isn't good to go. In such a scenario, Parkinson would rank as a low-end TE2 even though he has just 57 catches, 618 yards, and four touchdowns over his previous four years.
