No Playoff Match Up |
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson gets another enticing matchup this Sunday when his team takes on the Jacksonville Jaguars in a road tilt. The 25-year-old superstar is averaging 97.9 receiving yards per contest in 2024 and stands an excellent chance to match or surpass that total against a woeful Jaguars pass defense. Jacksonville is the second-worst team against the pass on a per-play basis, letting up 7.3 yards per attempt to their opponents. Additionally, they've allowed 19 touchdowns through the air while intercepting just two passes on the season. The former LSU Tiger is again an elite WR option and should challenge as the WR1 overall on the week. He's RotoBaller's top PPR play at the position in Week 10.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson hauled in 7-of-9 targets for 137 yards in Sunday night's 21-13 win over the Indianapolis Colts. It's the second straight 100-yard outing for the superstar wideout and his third straight contest with at least seven receptions. While he didn't score a touchdown, Jefferson tormented the Colts' secondary all evening, racking up five receptions of at least 20 yards -- three of such in the first half. The 25-year-old phenom entered Week 9 averaging 92.3 receiving yards per game and only helped further cement his case as the most complete wide receiver in football. Week 10 presents another outstanding matchup for the former LSU Tiger when he lines up against a sieve-like Jacksonville Jaguars secondary. Pencil him in as an elite WR1.
From RotoBaller
Vikings' WR Justin Jefferson had 7 receptions for 137 yards but no touchdowns in Sunday's win against the Colts. It was Jefferson's 2nd consecutive 100+ yard receiving game. He has averaged 8 catches with 126 receiving yards in those games.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson should challenge for the overall WR1 on the week this Sunday when his team hosts the Indianapolis Colts at U.S. Bank Stadium. The 25-year-old has been one of the most consistent wideouts in 2024, sans an outing with fewer than 15 fantasy points. The superstar WR has just one outing on the entire season with fewer than 81 receiving yards and stands an excellent chance to put together his best performance yet against a sieve-like Colts defense. On the season, Indy has given up 6.7 yards per attempt to opposing passing attacks -- a bottom-eight figure in the NFL -- and is having trouble stopping any aspect of an opponent's offensive game plan. Fire Jets up ahead of a tantalizing matchup, as he ranks as RotoBaller's top wide receiver play of Week 9.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson was targeted early and often during Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Rams. Jefferson hauled in five receptions for 68 yards over the first two drives of the game. His usage slowed down a bit after that, but Jefferson finished with eight receptions on nine targets for 115 yards in the loss. This marks his second 100-yard performance of the season as Jefferson is making easy work of opposing defenses. Fantasy managers should be getting another strong performance next week against the Indianapolis Colts. Jefferson is obviously a must-start in all formats as he's one of the best receivers in the league.
From RotoBaller
Vikings' WR Justin Jefferson had 8 receptions for 115 yards but no touchdowns in Thursday's loss in Los Angeles Rams.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson continues to rank as a high-end WR1 for fantasy football heading into Week 8 against the Los Angeles Rams. While Jefferson's volume has taken a step backward in the Vikings' Sam Darnold-led offense (he's averaging a relatively modest 5.5 catches per game and has not caught more than seven passes in a single game this year), he's a major scoring threat in the Minnesota offense. Not only does he have a touchdown in five of the Vikings' six games this year, but he's also facing off against a Rams defense allowing the ninth-most touchdowns to opposing wide receivers in 2024. All in all, Jefferson has the highest upside among all players in the Vikings' offense and should be treated as high-end WR1 for Thursday night's clash against the Rams.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson caught 7-of-8 targets for 81 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-29 loss to their division-rival Detroit Lions. It was another strong performance for the 25-year-old, who continues to be one of the most productive wide receivers in the league. Sunday marked his fourth-straight game with at least 81 yards and six catches, and he's scored a touchdown in all but one contest thus far in 2024. He could have had an even bigger game, but two of his catches went for no gain. The former LSU Tiger will get a quick turnaround in Week 8 when he and the Vikings head to SoFi Stadium for a road tilt with the Los Angeles Rams. He'll again be a top-flight WR play.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has played well this season, as expected, amassing 26 catches for 450 yards and four touchdowns. With the Vikings having won their first five games of the 2024-25 campaign leading up to a much-needed bye week, Jefferson will look to keep Minnesota atop the NFC North by earning a win over the Lions. The wideout has only three touchdowns in eight career meetings against Detroit. However, he's accumulated at least seven catches in five of those contests. Of course, Jefferson is always a must-start, although he could be even more productive for PPR managers in Week 7.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has paid early dividends in fantasy so far, and he hopes to continue riding a hot streak in Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers. The former first-round receiver has been incredibly productive despite his team simply not having to pass much in the second half of their games. The Packers will probably pose a more competitive game than the Vikings have been used to this season. If so, expect even greater productivity from Jefferson, who has already scored a touchdown in his first three games. There is a chance that Jordan Addison (ankle) eats into the targets. However, start Jefferson and feel confident in that choice.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said on Monday that the team isn't concerned about wide receiver Justin Jefferson's hand injury or his availability for the Week 4 contest this Sunday against the division-rival Green Bay Packer at Lambeau Field. Jefferson jammed one of the fingers on his right hand in the Week 3 win over the Houston Texans, but it didn't slow him down one bit, as the 25-year-old All-Pro wideout caught six passes for 81 yards and a touchdown on the day on his six targets. X-rays after the game showed no fractures in his finger, so he'll be good to go this weekend, although he might be listed on the team's injury report. Jefferson was one of the first receivers off the board in the first round of fantasy drafts for a reason and he already leads the league with three touchdowns through three weeks while catching 14 of his 21 targets for a healthy 273 yards.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (finger) put up predictably great numbers in Week 3's game against the Houston Texans. The 25-year-old receiver saw eight targets and caught six passes for 81 yards and a relatively easy first-quarter touchdown. He became one of only three receivers to score a touchdown in each of the first three games to start the year, joining teammate Jalen Nailor and Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Chris Godwin. The 25-year-old jammed his finger on a catch during the first half of Sunday's win. X-rays returned negative on Jefferson's finger, and he appears to have avoided a severe injury. As expected, the game went through the talented Jefferson early, though he was used primarily as a decoy in the second half. The fifth-year wide receiver is a favorite of quarterback Sam Darnold's and will be a clear and confident fantasy start next week against the Green Bay Packers in Week 4.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (quad) was removed from the injury report on Friday. The superstar wideout was dealing with a quad issue, but appears to be fine after getting in a full practice session on Friday. It sounds like Jefferson is a full-go for Sunday and won't have any lingering effects from his quad issue. That is great news for fantasy managers after Jefferson went down mid-way through Week 2. Fantasy managers should feel confident with Jefferson as a WR1 for Week 3 against the Houston Texans.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (quadriceps) is cleared to play ahead of the Week 3 matchup against the Houston Texans. The superstar wideout was limited in practice on Wednesday with a quad injury, but he guaranteed on Thursday that he'd suit up this weekend. It looks like Jefferson was right, as he doesn't carry an injury designation into this game. He'll continue to be the focal point on offense with Jordan Addison (ankle) ruled out for this game. Jefferson finished with 133 yards and a touchdown last week, so fantasy managers can continue counting on him as an elite fantasy option.
From RotoBaller
When asked if he plans to play in Week 3 on Sunday against the Houston Texans, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (quadriceps) said, "Yeah, for sure." Jefferson said his quadriceps muscle feels "great" and he's working daily with the medical staff to make sure it feels "fantastic" by Sunday. The All-Pro wideout was listed as limited in practice on Thursday for the second straight day. The 25-year-old bruised his right quad in the Week 2 win over the San Francisco 49ers but still managed to go for four catches (seven targets) for 133 yards and his second touchdown of the season. Jefferson has only seen 13 total targets from quarterback Sam Darnold through two weeks, but the efficiency has been amazing, and he'll remain a must-start, elite WR1 for fantasy managers as long as he's active this Sunday in what could be shootout against the Texans.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (quad) took part in the team's walkthrough practice on Wednesday, and head coach Kevin O'Connell said the plan is to get him more work later in the week. Jefferson suffered what seems to be a minor quad injury in the win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2, and it doesn't sound like he's at much risk of missing the Week 3 game against the Houston Texans. By no surprise, Jefferson is the WR4 on the season and is averaging 17.6 half-PPR points per game through two weeks. Quarterback Sam Darnold has looked like a solid start thus far, and there is no scenario where Jefferson should be benched in leagues of all shapes and sizes. As demonstrated by his 97-yard receiving touchdown last week, he's a threat to score from anywhere on the field.
From RotoBaller
Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson (quad) is considered day to day with a quad contusion, head coach Kevin O'Connell told reporters Monday, Sept. 16.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (quad) is officially labeled day-to-day per coach Kevin O'Connell. Jefferson picked up a minor injury in the team's 23-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers this past Sunday. The superstar wideout reeled in 4-of-7 targets for 133 yards and scored in the team's win, including a 97-yard bomb delivered by quarterback Sam Darnold standing in his end zone. Fantasy managers should anticipate the 25-year-old to appear on the team's injury report ahead of their Week 3 home matchup against the Houston Texans. It does not appear that he is in danger of missing time, though this is a situation to monitor for the time being. If Jefferson were to sit out, WR Jalen Nailor would assuredly see a more prominent role, especially if Jordan Addison (ankle) were still sidelined.

Dynasty | Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson had four catches for 133 yards and a touchdown in Minnesota's win over the 49ers. Dynasty Analysis: Jefferson's day was highlighted by a 97-yard touchdown reception from a rejuvenated Sam Darnold. The bigger story could be the fact Jefferson left the game late with a quad injury. We'll wait and see just what the extent of the injury is but it's also clear Jefferson can maintain his WR1 status this year with or without Kirk Cousins after the second big day from Darnold.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (quadriceps) already has plans to play in Week 3 against the Houston Texans. "I'm not seriously injured," said Jefferson after the game. "So, it's just all about getting to the training room, making sure my body is right for next week, and I'll be ready to go next Sunday." The wideout suffered a quad contusion during Sunday's win over the San Francisco 49ers. However, he still finished with 133 yards and a touchdown off four catches. Fantasy managers should expect to see Jefferson referenced on the injury report heading into Week 3. But it sounds like the Vikings will have their superstar as Minnesota looks to remain undefeated after the matchup with Houston.
