Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (groin) was unable to suit up for practice on Thursday. This is now back-to-back missed practices for Fant to start the week. This is not a good sign for Fant coming out of the bye week. He appears to be trending in the wrong direction ahead of the Week 11 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. If he sits, AJ Barner figures to see a majority of the snaps as the starting tight end. The rookie tight end hauled in four of his seven targets for 27 yards in Week 9. He's a possible deep league option if Fant is unable to play this weekend.

Nov 13 7:40pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (groin) was unable to practice with the rest of the team on Wednesday in the first practice of the week coming out of the bye. Fant suffered a groin injury in the Week 8 loss to the Buffalo Bills and did not play in the Week 9 loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. The 26-year-old most likely would have sat out in Week 10 if the team wasn't on bye, and the fact that he's still not practicing is a bad sign for his availability in this Sunday's divisional contest versus the San Francisco 49ers. Fantasy managers shouldn't be expecting Fant to suit up in Week 11. With Fant sidelined in Week 9, tight end AJ Barner had a bigger role on offense and finished with four catches on seven targets for 27 yards. Barner will once again see more snaps if Fant is inactive, but fantasy managers should consider him a highly volatile TE2.

Nov 2 9:20am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (groin), who has already been ruled out for this Sunday, could miss additional time beyond the team's Week 10 bye, head coach Mike Macdonald told the media. With that said, Fant is expected to stay on the 53-man roster and will not be placed on injured reserve. The 26-year-old had put together some respectable showings over the last three weeks, averaging 4.3 catches and 49.7 receiving yards per game during that span. In his absence, Seattle will deploy AJ Barner, a rookie from Michigan, as its top tight end.

From RotoBaller

Nov 1 4:30pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (groin) will not play in Week 9 according to Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic. Fant opened the week as a limited participant but was then downgraded to a non-participant on Thursday. This will be the first game of the 2024 campaign the 26-year-old sits out of. Since Week 3, Fant has caught at least three passes in all but one game and averaged 8.3 PPR points during this span. With DK Metcalf (knee) also not suiting up, fantasy managers should expect Tyler Lockett, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Jake Bobo to lead an undermanned Seattle passing attack against the Los Angeles Rams.

From RotoBaller

Oct 30 9:40pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (groin) was officially listed as limited on Wednesday's practice report. The groin injury is new for the sixth-year tight end, as he presumably sustained it sometime between Sunday and today (Wednesday), though exactly when it occurred is unclear. Fant played his typical snap percentage in the team's 31-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills. That he could practice in a limited capacity is good news for his chances of suiting up on Sunday when Seattle hosts the visiting Los Angeles Rams. The 26-year-old's injury doesn't seem serious; still, it's worth mentioning that fellow TEs AJ Barner and Pharaoh Brown have picked up more snaps in recent weeks. If he can't go, the aforementioned duo figures to split work, with a slight advantage to Barner. If Fant can play, he still won't be a recommended fantasy option.

Oct 27 8:40pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant had a forgettable fantasy outing in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills. After back-to-back games with at least 63 receiving yards, Fant only caught three passes for 22 yards. The Seahawks offense severely struggled in the absence of DK Metcalf (knee). Still, the output should not have been as bad as it was and Fant was in a great position to see more targets. Perhaps this offense needs Metcalf in the lineup in order for the other skill-position players to produce in fantasy. No one on the Seahawks had a fantasy day to write home about. Fant has been difficult to assess in 2024. He has scored single-digit fantasy points in five of his eight games. The consistency is nowhere near where you can trust him on a weekly. For now, he is a solid bench stash and a potential matchup play.

Oct 26 11:25pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant has come alive in recent weeks. Fant has ten receptions in his last two games combined and he has at least 63 receiving yards in both games. He has a chance to deliver numbers like that once again in Week 8 when the Seahawks host the Buffalo Bills. The Seahawks are likely going to hand the ball off quite a bit given the Bills' poor rushing defense. However, the Bills offense is potent and should force the Seahawks to air it out at least a fair amount. Top Seahawks target DK Metcalf (knee) does not look like he will play in this game. The Seahawks are very top-heavy in the wide receiver room and Fant would likely be the next man up in line for targets. He should be a safe play this week, especially in the tight end landscape we currently find ourselves in.

Oct 24 7:50pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) stayed limited in practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Fant should be fine to play this Sunday against the visiting Buffalo Bills and could once again see increased targets if top wideout DK Metcalf (knee) is unable to suit up. The 26-year-old tight end caught all four of his targets for a season-high 65 yards in the team's Week 7 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in a game in which Metcalf was injured and did not return. The Bills have been a middle-of-the-pack matchup for opposing tight ends in 2024, allowing 40 catches, 316 yards and one touchdown to the position in seven games. Fant now has three games with 60-plus receiving yards in 2024 and should be treated as a TE2 with upside in fantasy if Metcalf is inactive on Sunday.

Oct 23 7:50pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) was listed as a limited practice participant in the first practice of the week on Wednesday due to a knee injury. It's something to monitor, but as long as Fant doesn't suffer a setback later this week, we feel good about his chances of being active this Sunday versus the Buffalo Bills. The 26-year-old had a team-high four catches for 65 yards in the Week 7 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Fant still has yet to find the end zone this year, but he has a total of 10 catches on 10 targets for 128 yards over the last two weeks. He could be another good bet for sneaky production this weekend against the Bills if receiver DK Metcalf (knee) is unable to play. Even if Metcalf is active on Sunday, Fant should be viewed as a worthwhile TE2 streaming target for fantasy managers.

Oct 20 8:20pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant had another good day for fantasy in the Seahawks' Week 7 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Fant caught all four of his targets for 65 yards. Fant has been inconsistent in 2024. However, when he hits, he hits for double-digit fantasy points. Fant now has two straight games with at least 63 receiving yards. It could indicate that the Seahawks are committed to feeding him the ball more in 2024. Fant is undeniably a talented tight end. The Seahawks have simply preferred to feed their talented trio of wide receivers in the passing game. For now, it is likely worth rostering Fant just in case his consistency sticks. Additionally, fantasy managers should monitor the status of wide receiver DK Metcalf (knee). If Metcalf were to miss time, then Fant could be a main beneficiary in the passing game.

Oct 18 6:30pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant is coming off his best game of the season. In Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers, Fant caught six passes for 63 yards. It was only Fant's second game of the season with double-digit fantasy points. In fact, it was only his second game of the season with more than 5.4 fantasy points. Fant enters the Seahawks' Week 7 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons with major question marks in fantasy football. While Fant could see solid target volume in a potentially high-scoring game, he could also fall to the back burner as the Seahawks continue to feature their talented wide receivers. Fant is likely already on your waivers and he should stay there. He would not be a consistent fantasy option unless multiple of the Seahawks' preferred weapons were to go down due to injury.

From RotoBaller

Oct 11 11:20am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant matched his season-high catch total of six on Thursday night against the San Francisco 49ers. He also set a new season-high in receiving yards with 63. Fant has been a useless fantasy asset all season but if you happened to stream him this week then you were likely pleasantly surprised by the outcome. The Seahawks wound up throwing the ball 52 times, so it is no surprise that so many pass catchers were able to receive solid volume in this game. Even with a nice game from Fant, he is still too inconsistent to trust in fantasy football. However, if this trend continues then he would be worth an add off waivers.

From RotoBaller

Oct 8 6:50pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (toe) continues to have a poor fantasy season. It does not look like things will get better in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers. In Fant's defense, the tight end position has been disappointing in fantasy in 2024. However, Fant has been especially bad. He has only cleared 5.4 fantasy points in one game this season. The 49ers are No. 10 against opposing tight ends in fantasy and should have no problem shutting down Fant with their talented linebackers and safeties. Despite the state of the position this season, it is best to look elsewhere. Fant is simply a secondary player in an offense loaded with high-end talent.

From RotoBaller

Oct 4 1:30pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (toe) continues to stay off the fantasy radar. After a big Week 3 in which Fant caught six passes for 60 yards, he was back to his usual two catches per game in Week 4. Fant is far from his days in Denver when he was a high-end fantasy starter. He is far more necessary to the Seahawks offense than he is to fantasy teams. Offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb focuses more on his talented group of wide receivers than Fant, and rightfully so. If you have an extra roster spot than Fant may be worth a stash, but you should not even think about starting him until he proves any kind of fantasy worth.

Oct 3 7:50pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (toe) and Pharaoh Brown (foot, knee) were both limited in practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday. Fant has been listed on the injury report all year with his toe injury but he hasn't missed a single contest through four week. He's been a TE2 in fantasy so far, checking in as the TE22 in half-PPR scoring with 11 receptions on 15 targets for 111 yards and no touchdowns. The 26-year-old should be fine to suit up for the Week 5 game at home on Sunday against the New York Giants, where he'll continue to be a touchdown-dependent, low-end TE2 for fantasy managers as long as all three receivers DK Metcalf, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Tyler Lockett remain healthy. Quarterback Geno Smith has been slinging the ball around and currently leads the NFL with 1,182 passing yards, but most of his targets are going towards his receivers in 2024.

Sep 28 6:30pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (toe) doesn't carry an injury designation into Monday's Week 4 contest against the Detroit Lions. Fant appears to be good to go after being limited in practice all week due to a toe injury. Possibly, the Seahawks were just being cautious, but regardless Fant looks fine now. Fant has hauled in nine of his 13 targets for 85 yards and zero touchdowns through the first three weeks of the season. He hauled in all six of his targets for 60 yards last week, so it looks like Fant is trending in the right direction. Fantasy managers who lack a reliable option at tight end should consider Fant as a possible streaming choice.

Sep 28 12:10am ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (toe) was limited during Friday's practice. The 26-year-old has battled the toe injury all season but has still played, so he will likely be out there on Monday night in Detroit. He had a rough start to the 2024-25 campaign, totaling just three receptions in Seattle's first two contests. However, he caught all six targets for 60 yards in Week 3 versus the Miami Dolphins. After such a performance, fantasy managers in some formats consider him a starting tight end in Week 4. Still, Fant hard to trust, especially since it's been over a year since he's found his way into the end zone.

From RotoBaller

Sep 26 8:40pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant was finally involved in Week 3. After catching three total passes in Weeks 1 and 2, Fant caught six passes for 60 yards in Week 3. He actually has 13 targets on the year which is solid for a tight end. Given the state of the tight end position in fantasy, the athleticism of Fant makes him an intriguing stash. If he can get anywhere close to his Week 3 output in Week 4, then Fant may be worth starting moving forward. However, outside of DK Metcalf, the Seahawks' pass catchers have been inconsistent. It remains to be seen how new offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb will fully deploy his talented group of skill players.

From RotoBaller

Sep 20 10:20pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant should not be on the fantasy radar in Week 3. Fant only has three receptions on the season as the new-look Seahawks offense has focused on the running game and wide receivers. With the tight end position performing so poorly in 2024, many fantasy managers are turning to the waiver wire. Fant should not be considered to replace lost tight end value.

From RotoBaller

Sep 19 8:00pm ET

Seattle Seahawks tight ends Noah Fant (toe) and Pharaoh Brown (foot) were both listed as limited in Thursday's practice for the second straight day this week as they prepare to face off against the visiting Miami Dolphins in Week 3 at Lumen Field. Fant can't seem to shake his toe injury early this year, but it hasn't kept him from playing through the season's first two weeks. The 26-year-old has played at least 75% of the offensive snaps in coordinator Ryan Grubb's new offense, but it's led to only three catches on seven targets for 25 yards and no touchdowns in two weeks. He continues to be the fourth option for quarterback Geno Smith behind receivers DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, leaving him very little fantasy upside. Fant should be fine to suit up this weekend against Miami, where he should be considered a touchdown-dependent, low-end TE2.
