According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, the New York Giants are "more likely to be selling than buying come early November." As a result, Graziano speculates that running back Devin Singletary could be on the way out. The 27-year-old is currently the clear-cut option at the position. He's been decent in the Giants' first two games of the 2024-25 campaign, logging 26 carries for 132 yards and one touchdown. Singletary has also averaged a respectable 5.1 yards per carry, adding five receptions for 15 yards. However, if the Giants continue to struggle after their winless start, the team could trade Singletary, who has a few years left on his current deal. With that in mind, Tyrone Tracy Jr. is worth stashing, with the rookie in line to take over as the No. 1 option out of the backfield if the Giants deal Singletary. Tracy hasn't done much for the Giants so far. But that could change in the months ahead.

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary enters a Week 3 matchup against the Cleveland Browns with momentum after a solid Week 2 performance against the Washington Commanders, where he posted 16.2 half-PPR points on 95 rushing yards and a touchdown. Singletary's efficiency on the ground (5.9 YPC) will be tested against a Browns defense, allowing just 5 YPC through two games, ranking them in the top eight against the run. However, Cleveland has surrendered 229 rushing yards to the opposition in two weeks, showing they can be vulnerable. Expect Singletary to remain a viable flex option in deeper leagues, with his potential for red zone work giving him an edge if the Giants' offense can sustain drives.

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary delivered a solid fantasy performance in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Washington Commanders, racking up 95 yards on 16 carries and finding the end zone on a seven-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. While he wasn't involved in the passing game, with only one catch for zero yards, Singletary's rushing efficiency (5.9 YPC) helped keep the Giants in the game. His ability to churn out tough yards in critical situations made him a reliable RB2 for fantasy managers. With a consistent workload and goal-line usage, Singletary's stock is rising heading into Week 3, but managers must be cautious against a tough Browns defense.

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary is set for a pivotal Week 2 matchup against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Singletary, coming off a poor Week 1 performance where he rushed for only 37 yards and added 15 yards receiving, will look to exploit a Commanders defense that allowed 37 points in their opener. Singletary's volume should increase, especially if the Giants can get a lead early, making him a possible RB2 play for fantasy managers needing added production in Week 2.

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary had a quiet day in Sunday's 28-6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, managing just 37 rushing yards on the ground and 15 receiving yards through four catches. Despite getting involved in the passing game, Singletary failed to find the end zone and was ultimately held in check by a stout Vikings defense. His 52 total yards won't win any matchups, but his consistent role in both facets of the offense is encouraging for PPR formats. Singletary could see an uptick in touches in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders, but he is better off left on the bench now.

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary will be the uncontested lead back in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings. While Singletary has shown flashes of efficiency, averaging 4.16 yards per carry in 2023, he has struggled to find consistent fantasy relevance as a lead back in his career (he has never hit the 1,000-yard mark in five seasons). This week's matchup against a Vikings defense that allowed the eighth-fewest yards to rushers last season (98.7 per game) doesn't bode well for Singletary's upside. With the Giants likely in a pass-heavy game script, he's a low-ceiling FLEX play in PPR formats at best.

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary signed with the organization this offseason on a three-year, $16.5 million deal following a solid season with the Houston Texans in 2023. The 27-year-old posted career highs in rushing attempts (216) and rushing yards (898) last season. Although his offensive environment isn't ideal like it was in Houston with C.J. Stroud and a strong offensive line, he could make a significant fantasy impact if he sees a healthy opportunity share. Giants reporter Jordan Raanan said Singletary is going to have "prime usage," and he wouldn't be surprised if he's utilized like Saquon Barkley was in New York. Head coach Brian Daboll hinted at a three-down role for Singletary in a recent media availability. "He's just a good running back. You can use him on all three down," Daboll said. "You don't have to sub him a bunch." It's always tough to trust coaches in the preseason, but it sounds like Singletary could see a dominant opportunity share, which obviously limits the upside of rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr. Singletary has an RB3 outlook for Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings. His initial usage will tell us more about his role heading into Week 2.

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary rushed for 20 yards on 10 carries during the 2024 preseason. He did not get involved in the passing game. Singletary signed with the Giants this year after spending one season in Houston. As a Texan, he took over the No. 1 running back job from Dameon Pierce but wasn't exactly a gamechanger, struggling with efficiency there, too. Unfortunately for Singletary, he's playing against a Giants offensive line that has proven to be a liability. If his efficiency was already low, it's due to dip even more while running back a weak protection unit. Nevertheless, Singletary should see a boatload of volume, both on the ground and through the air. That'll be enough to push him into high-end RB3/FLEX territory.

New York Giants running back Devin Singletary turned ten carries in 20 yards and scored a touchdown in the team's 28-10 loss to the Houston Texans. He was targeted once but could not complete the catch. The sixth-year running back played the entire first half with the rest of the starters and had just one less rush attempt than all other Giants combined. His touchdown was a one-yard plunge early in the second quarter. After quarterback Daniel Jones hit veteran wide receiver Darius Slayton for a 44-yard gain down to Houston's 1-yard line, Singletary took two straight carries, leaping into the end zone on the latter for the score. Singletary wasn't the model of efficiency at just two yards per carry on the day, but he's locked in as New York's primary ball carrier for the time being. The Giants' offensive line also looked eons ahead of where it was last year, consistently moving Texan defenders yards off the ball. While backup RB Eric Gray took just three carries in the game, he was targeted six times and caught five of those balls. It's an interesting development as Singletary was targeted just once. It is likely just a byproduct of the unique tendencies of each New York quarterback, but a situation to monitor nonetheless. We'll be able to glean more from this situation when the Giants square off against the New York Jets next Saturday for their final preseason action.

The New York Giants had their first day of training camp practicing in pads Monday. That meant an emphasis on the run game, which was a reminder that running back Devin Singletary is going to carry a massive workload this season. Behind him, the Giants have 18 career carries from the rest of their RBs. His success will largely be contingent on the offensive line, but the 26-year-old former third-round pick showed well during his second-half surge in 2023 as the Houston Texans' lead back. Over his final nine outings (all starts), Singletary averaged 17.1 carries for 76.6 yards and 2.3 receptions for 16.8 yards with eight total touchdowns from Weeks 10 through 18. The Giants sport what figures to be a bottom-10 offense once again, however, likely limiting Singletary's fantasy upside on a weekly basis, but he should make up for a lack of high-scoring performances with heavy workloads as a volume-based RB2/3 play.

Jun 8 9:00am CT

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll praised new running back Devin Singletary regarding his knowledge of the offense heading into his first year with the team. "Devin's been a productive back when he was with me at Buffalo. He knows our system inside and out," Daboll said. Singletary signed a three-year, $16.5 million deal with the G-Men in free agency and is the clear lead back in New York now that Saquon Barkley is no longer around. The 26-year-old is familiar with Daboll's offensive concepts from their time together in Buffalo, but Singletary has never really operated as a true workhorse back, so fantasy managers should expect him to get plenty of help from Eric Gray and rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr. Behind an offensive line that was atrocious in 2023 and with a quarterback coming off an ACL tear, Singletary is no sure thing, making him more of an RB3/flex target in drafts.
