The New Orleans Saints have declared LB Jaylan Ford, WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, TE Dallin Holker, QB Derek Carr, OG Nick Saldiveri, WR Cedrick Wilson and DT Khristian Boyd inactive for Week 8.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. (hip) was the Saints' most productive fantasy player in Week 7, catching six of his eight targets for 57 yards and a garbage-time touchdown. Unfortunately, he will not have a chance to repeat that feat in Week 8. Wilson logged a limited practice to start the week and followed that up with consecutive DNPs. The seventh-year veteran is now listed as out on the Saints' final injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Wilson's absence on Sunday will generate more looks for rookies Bub Means and Mason Tipton but both will be working in the shadow of Chris Olave (concussion) who is expected to return to action.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints WR Cedrick Wilson (hip) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 25, and has been ruled out for Week 8.
Fantasy Spin: Chris Olave will be the main option in the passing game, but Bub Means and Mason Tipton should also see some targets with Wilson out of the lineup. Olave should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues, while Means and Tipton can be avoided in most leagues.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints OG Nick Saldiveri (shoulder) and WR Cedrick Wilson (hip) did not practice on Friday, Oct. 25, and have been ruled out for Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers. QB Derek Carr (oblique) did not practice all week and is listed as doubtful. RB Alvin Kamara (hand, rib) and TE Juwan Johnson (shoulder) were limited in practice on Friday but no longer appear on the injury report. OG Cesar Ruiz (knee), OL Lucas Patrick (chest), LB Pete Werner (hamstring), C Connor McGovern (back), WR Chris Olave (concussion), DT Khalen Saunders (back), TE Taysom Hill (rib), CB Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) and QB Spencer Rattler (hip) practiced in full on Friday and have also been removed from the injury report.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints WR Cedrick Wilson (hip) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 24.
Fantasy Spin: It is not known if Wilson received a day or if he is in danger of missing the game. He is coming off a decent game last week and could be a possible flex option in some leagues if he is active for the game.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints WR Cedrick Wilson (hip) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 23.
Fantasy Spin: Wilson reached the end zone in the last game and was targeted seven times in the passing game. He should see a handful of targets this week if he plays and could be a possible flex option in some deeper leagues.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. had six catches for a team-high 57 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's loss to the Denver Broncos. Wilson, along with Bub Means and Mason Tipton saw more opportunities than usual as a result of Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) being inactive in Week 7. After making one eight-yard grab in the first quarter, Wilson was uninvolved until the second half rolled around and even then the majority of his targets came when the game was well out of hand. The touchdown, a 12-yard strike from quarterback Jake Haener, came on the Saints' final drive of the game. The Saints' offense started the season red-hot but is now in shambles. Aside from the injuries to his fellow receivers, Derek Carr (oblique) is expected to need more time to recover and stand-in Spencer Rattler (hip) might have been injured on a sack late in the fourth quarter. The garbage time production produced a handsome fantasy score but Wilson isn't a viable option in most leagues. His showing on Thursday brings his season-long numbers to nine catches for 88 yards and one touchdown.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints WR Cedrick Wilson had six receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown versus the Denver Broncos on Thursday, Oct. 17. He was targeted seven times.
Fantasy Spin: Wilson saw an increased role with Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) out. The latter is done for the year, which creates a void in New Orleans' passing game. Whether Wilson, a seventh-year journeyman, is the person to fill it seems dubious at best. Still, if you're desperate for help in a deeper league, you can add his name to your watch list to see what he does in Week 8 when Olave, and Derek Carr (oblique), are likely to return.
From TheHuddle
Wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. (ankle) popped up on the New Orleans Saints injury report earlier this week but got a full practice in the day ahead of their Thursday night matchup against the Denver Broncos. Wilson was limited in the team's earlier sessions but carries no injury designation going into Week 7. With Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) both ruled out there is an opportunity for Wilson to see more snaps than usual. That may not result in much fantasy value, though. Olave's early departure in Week 6 afforded Wilson three targets while stand-in quarterback Spencer Rattler gave most of his attention to rookie wideout Bub Means. Even without Patrick Surtain (concussion), Denver still boasts a formidable secondary and their pass rush will give Rattler fits. Wilson is not a viable option in fantasy in Week 7.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints WR Cedrick Wilson (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 16, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.
Fantasy Spin: Wilson is in line for a bigger role this week with Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed unavailable. He should see a decent amount of targets in the passing game and could be a possible flex option in some deeper leagues.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. (ankle) was limited for the second straight day ahead of the Week 7 matchup against the Denver Broncos. It appears Wilson picked up an ankle injury over the weekend and is uncertain to play this Thursday. Wilson has been quiet this season, but he posted his best game of the season last week. He hauled in two of his three targets for 28 yards in the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Normally, Wilson would be a non-factor in the offense, but the Saints are banged up right now. Both Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) are on the injury report and in danger of missing Thursday's game. If that happens, Wilson could end up with a bigger role in the offense.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints OG Cesar Ruiz (knee), OG Lucas Patrick (chest) and LB Pete Werner (hamstring) did not participate in practice Tuesday, Oct. 15. DE Payton Turner (knee), DT Nathan Shepherd (groin), S J.T. Gray (calf), CB Alontae Taylor (shoulder) and WR Cedrick Wilson (ankle) were limited during practice. DE Carl Granderson (neck), S Tyrann Mathieu (forearm) and LB Willie Gay (hand) fully participated in practice. The Saints did not hold a practice Tuesday, so the practice report is an estimation.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. (ankle) was a limited participant during Monday's practice estimation. Wilson has been nursing an ankle issue, but did suit up during the Week 6 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He hauled in two of his three targets for 28 yards in the loss. Wilson figures to continue playing through the issue, but the Saints are on a short week. Fellow wideout Chris Olave (concussion) didn't practice on Monday and might be sidelined for Thursday's matchup against the Denver Broncos. If that happens, Wilson could have a bigger role, but it's hard to imagine him being a viable fantasy option.
