Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (hand) practiced in full for the third straight day on Saturday, Sept. 21, and carries no designation for Week 3.

Fantasy Spin: There was never any concern for Allen, who remains an elite QB1 entering Week 3.

The Jacksonville Jaguars defense/special teams unit is not a smart play in Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. Josh Allen and the Bills offense have been great so far, with Allen's dual-threat ability and James Cook out of the backfield leading the way. The defense hasn't given up a lot of points through two weeks, where they faced the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns, but they haven't forced any turnovers and are middle of the pack with five sacks. Given Allen is hard to sack, they will have to rely on turnovers to muster a decent fantasy showing. With the Bills playing more conservative and running the ball more but still scoring plenty of points, it will be a tall task for the Jags to have much success on defense, both from a real life and a fantasy perspective. Look to the waiver wire for Week 3 to replace the Jaguars D/ST against the Bills.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen isn't throwing the football as often as he did in previous seasons, but his efficiency and rushing abilities keep him a top fantasy football option in Week 3. Allen is attempting 21 passes per game so far this season, the second lowest among starting quarterbacks. Reduced opportunity numbers (19 pass attempts, two carries) doomed fantasy managers in Week 2. Unfortunately, a matchup against a struggling Jacksonville offense may not help. Should the Bills jump out to another quick lead on Monday Night Football, the coaching staff could rely on James Cook and the running attack again. Still, it's unwise to pivot to another quarterback, knowing that Allen is capable of tallying four touchdowns in the blink of an eye.

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (hand) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 20. The Bills did not hold a practice Friday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Spin: Allen has accounted for five touchdowns in the first two games this season and should be a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen completed 13 passes for 139 yards and one touchdown in the team's 31-10 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football. An unfortunate game script led to Allen's worst fantasy performance since his rookie season. Allen threw the first touchdown of the game to running back James Cook, who scored the next two on the ground. One Buffalo pick-six later, Allen found his team up big and didn't need to throw. He didn't add anything on the ground either (two carries for two yards). Allen will return with a QB1 status ahead of a Week 3 matchup against Jacksonville a week from Monday.

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen completed 13 of his 19 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown and ran twice for two yards in a 31-10 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 2.

In Week 2, the Miami Dolphins will face their division rivals, the Buffalo Bills, on Thursday Night Football. The Dolphins are 2.5-point favorites, while the matchup has a 48-point implied total for the two teams. Miami's D held up well against Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars last Sunday in their 20-17 victory. They allowed just 139 yards and a score through the air against the Jags, though they did let up 128 and a score on the ground. While Josh Allen might be missing his leading wide receivers from 2023, he still found a way to put up 271 total yards and four combined scores against the Cardinals. Miami's defense fared better in their second matchup (at home) against Buffalo in 2023, but they got gashed for 48 points in Week 4 when they took them on in Buffalo. The unit can be left on waivers and benches ahead of Week 2 as RotoBaller's DEF24.

There's no concern about the matchup for Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (hand) in Week 2. The two-time Pro Bowler has passed for over 300 yards and scored multiple touchdowns in each of his last five matchups against the Miami Dolphins. The 45 rushing yards he's averaged in those contests is the cherry on top. Although he only threw for 232 yards in his season debut, Allen's four touchdowns confirm that the Buffalo scoring offense runs through the quarterback. Allen is dealing with an injury to his non-throwing hand, but he's been a full participant in practice this week. Allen belongs in starting lineups in every fantasy league.

Buffalo Bills CB Taron Johnson (forearm) and DE Dawuane Smoot (toe) did not practice on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and were ruled out for Week 2. Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (hand) will play Thursday, Sept. 12, against the Miami Dolphins in Week 2.

Fantasy Spin: Allen was the QB1 after Week 1, and while there should be some concern about the short week, he's still a top-flight play.

From TheHuddle

Sep 10 5:40pm CT

In case fantasy managers were at all concerned, quarterback Josh Allen (left hand) was a full participant in Tuesday's walk-through. Head coach Sean McDermott had previously confirmed that Allen was cleared to practice and ultimately play in Thursday's upcoming game against the Miami Dolphins. Allen is an iron man and is no stranger to playing through injury. The good news is that his injury occurred to his non-throwing hand. While it may affect ball security, it should not affect Allen's ability to perform. Allen threw for 232 yards and two touchdowns while adding 39 rushing yards and two touchdowns in Week 1. He will look to build on those numbers in Week 2.

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (hand) practiced in full on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Fantasy Spin: It appears Allen will be good to go for Thursday's AFC East showdown against the Miami Dolphins. The good news is the injury to his non-throwing hand, so his accuracy should not be compromised. While it is possible he could opt to run less to protect himself, it should not be enough to keep Allen from being anything other than an elite QB1 consideration in Week 2.

From TheHuddle

Sep 10 12:00pm CT

Bills' QB Josh Allen scored an impressive 34.50 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 1 win against the Cardinals. Allen threw for 232 yards on 18-of-23 with two touchdowns. It's the 1st time this season Allen scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Sep 9 4:23pm CT

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (hand) fully participated in practice Monday, Sept. 9. The Bills did not hold a practice Monday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Spin: Allen has been cleared to play and should not have any limitations since it is his non-throwing hand. He is coming off a terrific Week 1 performance and should be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

Sep 9 3:40pm CT

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said on Monday that quarterback Josh Allen (hand) has been cleared to practice this week and will play on Thursday Night Football in Week 2 against the division-rival Miami Dolphins. On his second rushing touchdown of the Week 1 win over the visiting Arizona Cardinals, Allen injured his left (non-throwing) hand after leaping a defender to cross the goal line. However, the 28-year-old dual-threat signal-caller said after Sunday's game that he thought he was "fine," although he was expected to undergo cautionary X-rays. Apparently the X-rays didn't show anything concerning and Allen will be good to go this week. In the Week 1 comeback win, it wasn't all pretty for Allen, but in the end he threw for two touchdowns and scored two with his legs. With Allen being good to go for Week 2, keep him locked in fantasy lineups as an elite QB1.

Sep 9 3:03pm CT

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (hand) has been cleared to play in Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins after hurting his non-throwing hand in Week 1, head coach Sean McDermott said Monday, Sept. 9.

Fantasy Spin: As long as Allen is healthy, he continues to prove he's the top quarterback in fantasy.

From TheHuddle

Sep 9 12:20pm CT

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (hand) injured his left hand in the Week 1 victory over the visiting Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, although Allen isn't particularly worried about the injury. Allen injured his hand during his second rushing touchdown of the day in the fourth quarter when he had to leap over safety Budda baker at the goal line. His left hand and wrist were wrapped by athletic trainers on the sideline after the TD, and Allen played the rest of the game. Allen said afterward that his hand was "fine." It was expected that he would go for X-rays after the game, but the results of those tests haven't been revealed. The Bills have a quick turnaround on Thursday Night Football in Week 2 against the division-rival Miami Dolphins, but as long as X-rays don't reveal any kind of structural damage, Allen should be good to go as a must-start, high-end QB1 play in Week 2.
