New Orleans Saints "tight end" Taysom Hill had his most productive game of the season against the Panthers in Week 9. In the loss, he turned in season highs in receptions (four) and receiving yards (41), had five carries for 19 yards, and scored a touchdown, his third this year. The uptick in usage resulted from the Saints' wide receiver and running back depth charts stretched thin due to injuries. The same challenge is present in Week 10, with Chris Olave (concussion) and Cedrick Wilson Jr. (shoulder) declared out and running back Jamaal Williams (groin) questionable. Hill should factor in once again as the Saints cannot run their entire offense through Alvin Kamara alone. Tight end streamers or managers feeling the pinch of a bye week can plug Hill in as the circumstances around him give him top-12 potential.
From RotoBaller
Jack of all trades Taysom Hill was again involved as a rusher, receiver, and passer in the Saints' 23-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. In Week 9, Hill gained 19 yards and scored a touchdown on five carries, caught four of his five targets for 41 yards, and threw one pass attempt that fell incomplete. The touchdown was his third of the season and his 60 scrimmage yards represented a new season-high. Five of his touches resulted in first-down conversions. The Saints came into the game with an offense depleted by injury and then lost Chris Olave (concussion) in the first quarter, setting Hill up for increased usage. That trend will likely hold for the Saints' upcoming matchup against the Atlanta Falcons as New Orleans will still be short on skill players. Kendre Miller (hamstring) and Bub Means (ankle) were both placed on injured reserve earlier this week and Olave's concussion is his second in the last four weeks, leaving his status for Week 10 in doubt.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill rushed five times for 19 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers, while adding four receptions for 41 yards on five targets.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints quarterback/tight end Taysom Hill caught two of his four targets for 21 yards, took four carries for 20 yards, and completed his lone pass attempt for a three-yard gain in Week 8 against the Chargers. He also forced a fumble while playing on special teams that resulted in a safety. It was his first game back after a three-week absence due to a rib injury and featured his heaviest usage yet. In Week 9, Hill is suited for an even bigger game. Another week removed from injury, Hill will be facing the Panthers who have allowed the most fantasy points to both running backs and tight ends in 2024. With Jamaal Williams (groin) doubtful and Kendre Miller (hamstring) already out, Hill will likely act as Alvin Kamara's primary backup. Hill's atypical usage makes his boom games difficult to predict but conditions are favorable in Week 9, making him worthy of a stream for managers needing a solution at tight end.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints "quarterback" Taysom Hill had 20 rushing yards on four carries, caught two of four targets for 21 receiving yards, and connected with Alvin Kamara on his lone pass attempt for a three-yard gain in Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. A jack of all trades for the offense, his biggest contribution in Week 8 came as part of the special teams unit. Chargers punter J.K. Scott mishandled a snap and attempted to scoop it up in his own end zone. Hill raced in and knocked the ball loose, getting credit for the forced fumble which ultimately resulted in a safety. This was Hill's first game back after missing the previous three with a rib injury suffered in Week 4. He should be good to go for Week 9's matchup against the Carolina Panthers.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill (rib) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 25, and is not on the injury report for Week 8.
Fantasy Spin: Hill should be involved in the passing game this week and could also see some carries in the running game. He can be a possible low-end No. 1 tight end in some deeper leagues.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints OG Nick Saldiveri (shoulder) and WR Cedrick Wilson (hip) did not practice on Friday, Oct. 25, and have been ruled out for Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers. QB Derek Carr (oblique) did not practice all week and is listed as doubtful. RB Alvin Kamara (hand, rib) and TE Juwan Johnson (shoulder) were limited in practice on Friday but no longer appear on the injury report. OG Cesar Ruiz (knee), OL Lucas Patrick (chest), LB Pete Werner (hamstring), C Connor McGovern (back), WR Chris Olave (concussion), DT Khalen Saunders (back), TE Taysom Hill (rib), CB Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) and QB Spencer Rattler (hip) practiced in full on Friday and have also been removed from the injury report.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill (ribs) has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 8 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. It finally appears that Hill will be back in action for the first time since Week 4. The 34-year-old has only put together one good performance through his three games. However, Hill could be more involved with quarterback Spencer Rattler under center. The Saints enjoy using Hill all over the field, but he doesn't seem to have a consistent role. He should be considered a boom-or-bust TE2 for Week 8.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill (rib) has a realistic chance to play in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday after upgrading to a full practice session on Thursday. Hill was listed as limited on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Juwan Johnson (shoulder) was limited for the second straight day on Thursday. Hill fractured his ribs in Week 4 and hasn't played since. The 34-year-old veteran and multi-talented offensive weapon could be used more out of the backfield this weekend if he returns with quarterback Derek Carr (oblique) set to miss his third straight game. If Hill makes his return against the Chargers, he'll be a TE2 streamer, at best, in deeper fantasy leagues. The Mormon Missile has two rushing touchdowns in three games played but just 16 total touches in those three games before getting hurt.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill (rib) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 24.
Fantasy Spin: Hill appears on track to play against the Los Angeles Chargers this week and should be involved in the offense. He could be a possible low-end No. 1 tight end in some leagues.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill (rib) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 23.
Fantasy Spin: Hill has missed the last few games because of the injury but seems to have a chance to play this week. He will see a few targets if he cleared to play and could be a No. 1 tight end in some leagues.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen said that he thinks there's a chance that tight end Taysom Hill (ribs) can play on Sunday in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Hill is dealing with fractured ribs and hasn't played for the Saints since Week 4. The 34-year-old Swiss Army knife of an offensive weapon could return this weekend, but he'll need to prove he's ready in practices this week. It's possible that Hill could have an expanded role in the backfield, and perhaps even under center for some plays, if quarterback Derek Carr (oblique) isn't ready to return in Week 8. However, fantasy managers can't bank on that kind of role from a player whose involvement is already unpredictable. In his three games in 2024, Hill has 14 carries for 77 yards and two TDs while catching only two passes for two yards. If Hill returns in Week 8, he'll be an extremely volatile flex play or TE2.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill (ribs) has been declared inactive for the Week 7 game.
Fantasy Spin: Foster Moreau and Juwan Johnson should receive some targets in the passing game with Hill sitting out. Neither tight end is a strong fantasy option and can be avoided in most leagues.
From TheHuddle
As expected, New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill (ribs) is inactive for the Thursday night clash against the Denver Broncos. Hill is dealing with fractured ribs and will miss his third straight game. The 34-year-old veteran do-it-all player was listed as doubtful to play this week. The good news is that Hill was limited in practice all week, so he should have a good shot at returning for the Saints in Week 8 versus the Los Angeles Chargers. With Hill out again, it means more playing time for both Juwan Johnson and Foster Moreau, but they'll be TE2 sleeper options, at best, even with receivers Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) out in Week 7. Hill has two rushing touchdowns in three games played in 2024, but it's come on only 16 touches. He's a boom/bust TE2 in fantasy when he's active.
From RotoBaller
The New Orleans Saints have declared QB Derek Carr, RB Jordan Mims, TE Taysom Hill, OG Cesar Ruiz, DL Khalen Saunders, WR Chris Olave and LB Pete Werner inactive for Week 7.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill (rib) was limited during in practice Wednesday, Oct. 16, but is listed as doubtful for Week 7.
Fantasy Spin: Hill appears to be making some progress in his recovery but is not ready to play at this point. Foster Moreau and Juwan Johnson should see a few targets in the passing game this week, but fantasy players likely will be able to find better options.
From TheHuddle
New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill (ribs) is considered doubtful for Thursday's game, according to Nick Underhill of the New Orleans Football Network. The tight end logged limited practice sessions on Monday and Tuesday after missing the previous two games and is now in danger of missing tomorrow's game. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to the 34-year-old's status on Wednesday's injury report, as it may provide more clarity on his potential to suit up. If he cannot play, rookie Spencer Rattler will face a difficult challenge against a tough Denver defense without his top wideouts and potentially starting tight end. As a result, Bub Means could be worth a look as a flex option, as he saw eight targets in relief last weekend.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill (ribs) was limited on Tuesday for the second straight day this week and could have a shot to return to action this Thursday night when the team hosts the Denver Broncos to kick off Week 7 action. If Hill is active this week, the 34-year-old Swiss Army knife could see more run either under center or in the backfield with rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler expected to make his second career start with Derek Carr (oblique) sidelined. However, we still wouldn't recommend Hill for starting fantasy lineups in most leagues as an unpredictable gadget player essentially. He's also missed three games due to injury this year, including the last two weeks. Hill does have two TDs in three games in 2024, but it's come on just 14 carries for 77 yards while adding two catches for two yards.
From RotoBaller
The New Orleans Saints listed tight end Taysom Hill (ribs) was listed as limited on Monday's estimated injury report as the team prepares for a Thursday night battle in Week 7 against the Denver Broncos. Hill missed his third game of the year and second straight in the Week 6 loss to the division-rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but a limited listing in the first practice of the week suggests he could have a shot to return to face the Broncos in primetime on Thursday. When the 34-year-old does return, if quarterback Derek Carr (oblique) remains out, Hill could be in line for more usage as a running back or even QB out of New Orleans' backfield. He'd still be no better than a boom/bust TE2 in fantasy leagues, though, as an unpredictable do-it-all weapon for the Saints. Hill does have two rushing scores in three games this year but just 14 carries for 77 yards and two catches for two yards.
From RotoBaller
New Orleans Saints TE Taysom Hill (rib) was limited during practice Monday, Oct. 14. The Saints did not hold a practice Monday, so this is an estimation.
Fantasy Spin: Hill has missed a few games because of the injury but seems to have a chance to play in Week 7. Fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation because Hill can be a possible starting tight end in leagues if he plays.
