New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams caught three of his four targets for 34 yards in a 24-3 win over the New England Patriots in Week 3. Williams easily turned in his best game of the season after not drawing a target in Week 1 and catching just one ball in Week 2. He wound up finishing third on the team in receiving in the Thursday night win as the Jets are slowly ramping up his workload after a torn ACL in 2023. Williams should continue to see more work moving forward, although the reemergence of Allen Lazard as one of Aaron Rodgers' favorite targets could be a concern for Williams. He will now have a few extra days to rest ahead of a Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos.

Sep 20 1:33am CT

New York Jets WR Mike Williams collected three receptions (on four targets) for 34 yards during the team's Week 3 win over the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Spin: Williams' workload keeps ticking up as he plays his way back into shape following last year's torn ACL. With the way Aaron Rodgers is spreading things around, the jury remains out on how big of an impact the former Charger will have, especially with Allen Lazard having a mini renaissance after being a complete bust last year. If you drafted Williams to stash on your bench, you can stay the course for now to see how things look when he's ready for a full load.

From TheHuddle

Sep 18 6:00pm CT

New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams made his first catch of the season in Week 2, hauling in a 19-yard pass in a win over the Tennessee Titans. He will look to make a bigger impact against the New England Patriots in Week 3's Thursday night game. Williams, who tore his ACL early in the 2023 season, is trending in the right direction as he was in on 64.9% of the snaps in Week 2 after playing just 17.6% of the snaps in the season opener. The Patriots have been generous to opposing wide receivers through two weeks and are fresh off allowing both DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba to post 100-yard games last week. That being said, until Williams shows he is a bigger piece of the offense, he is just a desperation flex in fantasy.

Sep 15 9:10pm CT

New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams caught his lone target for a 19-yard gain in a 24-17 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 2. While it was another slow game for the veteran, he at least made a dent in the stat sheet after he was not targeted back in Week 1. Williams, who tore his ACL last season, is being brought along slowly by the Jets as they look to ramp him up as their No. 2 receiver as the season goes on. For now, however, he cannot be trusted in fantasy starting lineups. He will have a short turnaround as the Jets play the New England Patriots in Week 3's Thursday night game.

From RotoBaller

Sep 15 5:43pm CT

New York Jets WR Mike Williams caught one pass for 19 yards against the Tennessee Titans in Week 2. He was targeted one time during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Williams is being eased back into the offense and is seeing more snaps each game. He has been productive in the past and can become a reliable target in the Jets passing game. Fantasy players may want to keep him on the bench for now, but he could be an option later in the season.

From TheHuddle

Sep 13 6:13pm CT

New York Jets WR Mike Williams (knee) will be on the field for more plays in Week 2, according to head coach Robert Saleh. Williams was on the field for only nine snaps in Week 1.

Fantasy Spin: Williams is working his way back from a serious injury but could see a few more targets this week against the Tennessee Titans. He is probably not a starting fantasy option at this point but could have more value later in the season.

From TheHuddle

Sep 13 3:33pm CT

New York Jets WR Mike Williams (knee) practiced in full once again on Friday, Sept. 13, and was removed from the injury report.

Fantasy Spin: Williams played just nine snaps in Week 1 and didn't see a single target. He's also got a tough matchup against a talented Tennessee Titans secondary. He's best left on the bench in Week 2.

From TheHuddle

Sep 13 3:23pm CT

New York Jets CB D.J. Reed (knee) did not practice on Friday, Sept. 13, and is questionable for Week 2. Also, DL Micheal Clemons (triceps) practiced in full but is questionable, DL Javon Kinlaw (personal) was limited but carries no designation, and CB Michael Carter II (ankle), S Ashtyn Davis (ankle), WR Mike Williams (knee) and OT Tyron Smith (rest) practiced in full and were removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Sep 13 11:10am CT

New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams is set to see an increase in snaps this weekend, according to Connor Hughes of SNY. The veteran wideout suffered a torn ACL last season and was on a strict 15-snap limit in the season opener. In fact, the 29-year-old logged only nine snaps in Week 1 and ran only four routes. He did not see a target. This allowed Allen Lazard to emerge as the No.2 wideout opposite of Garrett Wilson. Fantasy managers should continue to expect Lazard to be deployed as the No.2 option as Williams continues to get himself accustomed to NFL action. Lazard is worth a look in deeper leagues this weekend and could be a sneaky play in DFS, as he caught six of nine targets for 89 yards and two scores in the season opener.

From RotoBaller

Sep 12 3:23pm CT

New York Jets WR Mike Williams (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 12.

Fantasy Spin: Williams will become more involved in the passing game as the season goes on but probably will still see limited snaps this week against the Tennessee Titans. Fantasy players should have better options available and can avoid Williams.

From TheHuddle

Sep 11 3:53pm CT

New York Jets WR Mike Williams (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 11. The Jets did not hold a practice Wednesday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Spin: Williams was active for the Week 1 game but was not targeted during the game. He is being eased into the offense after his serious injury and probably can be avoided until he catches some passes in a game.

From TheHuddle

Sep 10 4:10am CT

New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams was not targeted in a 32-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1. Williams was on a pitch count after tearing his ACL early last season and he wound up playing just a handful of snaps for the Jets, mostly in the red zone. The goose egg from Williams is concerning but the Jets indicated heading into the game that they would be easing the veteran into action in the early going. Williams should slowly ramp up activity over the next few games but he will also have to contend with Allen Lazard, who caught two touchdowns on Monday night. For now, Williams is just a bench stash in deep fantasy leagues heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

From RotoBaller

Sep 10 1:03am CT

New York Jets WR Mike Williams played sparingly in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers in his team debut, and he went without a catch or target.

From TheHuddle

Sep 7 7:30pm CT

New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams will take on the San Francisco 49ers on the road to kick off his 2024 season. Williams appeared in just three games for the Los Angeles Chargers last season before he tore his ACL and missed the remainder of the year. That being said, he was off to a hot start before the injury, racking up 249 receiving yards in his three games before getting hurt. Williams will slot in as the No. 2 receiver for the Jets opposite Garrett Wilson and could return WR3 value in fantasy in some weeks. The 49ers don't pose a particularly tough matchup for Williams as they allowed the 14th-most fantasy points per game to receivers in 2023. Treat Williams as a solid flex option for Week 1.

From RotoBaller

Sep 7 2:13pm CT

New York Jets WR Mike Williams (knee) practiced in full on Saturday, Sept. 7, and was removed from the injury report.

Fantasy Spin: This will be Williams' first game since suffering a torn ACL last season, and his first game with QB Aaron Rodgers. He shouldn't be in lineups until we see Williams produce with his new team.

From TheHuddle

Sep 7 2:03pm CT

New York Jets LB Zaire Barnes (ankle) and OL Wes Schweitzer (hand) did not practice on Saturday, Sept. 7, and were ruled out for Week 1. Also, CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse (groin), OL Max Mitchell (shoulder), OL Xavier Newman (shoulder), OL Tyron Smith (rest) and WR Mike Williams (knee) practiced in full and were removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Sep 6 6:03pm CT

New York Jets WR Mike Williams (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 6.

Fantasy Spin: Williams likely will be in uniform for the season opener but will be on a snap count as he works his way back from a serious knee injury. Fantasy players probably can consider avoiding him during the early part of the season, but he could be valuable as the season goes on.

From TheHuddle

Sep 5 7:00pm CT

New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams (knee) was listed as a full participant in the team's first official practice of the regular season on Thursday. It means that despite tearing his ACL early in the 2023 season while with the Los Angeles Chargers, he'll be active for his Jets debut in Week 1 on Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers. It's great news for a Jets offense that is looking to do special things in 2024 if quarterback Aaron Rodgers can just stay healthy. The 29-year-old Williams will be active this coming Monday, but the Jets have already disclosed that he's expected to be on a pitch count, which will make him a low-ceiling, low-floor, boom/bust WR5/flex option in fantasy to kick off the season. It's best to just leave him on your benches this week. With Williams being eased in early on, Allen Lazard could benefit the most behind WR1 Garrett Wilson, mainly because of his rapport with Rodgers.

From RotoBaller

Sep 5 5:23pm CT

New York Jets WR Mike Williams (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 5.

Fantasy Spin: Williams appears to be on track to play in Week 1, but head coach Robert Saleh has indicated that Williams will be on a snap count. He probably will see a few targets this week, but fantasy players may want to wait a week or two until he is more involved in the passing game.

From TheHuddle

Sep 5 2:13pm CT

New York Jets WR Mike Williams (knee) will be on a snap count early in the season, according to head coach Robert Saleh.

Fantasy Spin: Williams is coming off a serious knee injury and probably will need a few games before he can return to a normal workload. He should see a few targets in the Week 1 game but is only a possible flex option in some deeper leagues.
