Kansas City Chiefs left tackle Wanya Morris (knee) has been listed as questionable to return against the Denver Broncos with a knee injury on Sunday. The next left tackle on the depth chart is rookie Kingsley Suamataia, but the offensive line has been pretty suspect so far this week. Morris is an important piece to Patrick Mahomes' protection, so it could be tough sledding against a solid Broncos defense if he can't return.

Nov 9 3:00am CT

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will take on the Denver Broncos in Week 10. Mahomes is coming off his best fantasy performance of the season, passing for 291 yards and three touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers defense has allowed huge performances to opposing offenses all season, so this week will be more challenging for the Chiefs quarterback. The Denver Broncos rank sixth in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks this season, making them one of the toughest matchups. Mahomes has been trending up in the past few weeks, and that trend could continue as he builds more chemistry with DeAndre Hopkins. Mahomes found himself on the injury report earlier this week with an ankle injury but practiced fully all week and does not have an injury designation for the game. Mahomes is ranked QB10 in our RotoBaller rankings this week, making him a low-end QB1 in this matchup. Given his recent success, fantasy managers should start Mahomes this week but temper expectations in a difficult matchup.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 7.

Fantasy Spin: Mahomes is not posting the same numbers he did in previous seasons but is still finding success in 2024. He can be a starting option in two-quarterback leagues but probably can be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Fantasy Spin: Mahomes is coming off one of his best games of the season last week and has five touchdowns in the last two games. He will be facing a solid Denver Broncos defense this week and may only be a starting option in two-quarterback leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 6 7:15pm CT

Kansas City's QB Patrick Mahomes scored 27.45 fantasy points in Monday's Week 9 win against the Buccaneers. Mahomes threw for 291 yards on 34-of-44 with three touchdowns. It's the 1st time this season Mahomes scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Nov 6 3:40pm CT

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle) is expected to practice in full on Wednesday according to Adam Teicher of ESPN. Mahomes suffered an ankle injury during last Monday's victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but did not have to miss any action. Fantasy managers should monitor the 29-year-old's status throughout the week in case he faces a setback but he should be expected to start on Sunday against the Denver Broncos. Last Monday, Mahomes scored a season-high 27.5 PPR points as he threw three scores with 291 yards. This was his first time this season that he tallied three scores in a single game. Despite his mediocre showings throughout this season, fantasy managers should continue to view him as a top-12 option going forward.

Nov 6 1:33pm CT

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is not expected to have any limitations in practice this week after tweaking his ankle in Week 9, head coach Andy Reid said on Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Fantasy Spin: The worst was feared when Mahomes suffered a non-contract ankle injury, but thankfully he was able to stay in the game and looked to be just fine. Coming off his best game of the 2024 season in Week 9, Mahomes is back in the QB1 conversation in Week 10.

From TheHuddle

Nov 5 3:50am CT

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 34 of 44 pass attempts (77%) for 291 yards and three touchdowns in the 30-24 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Chiefs quarterback added nine rushing yards on two carries in the contest. Mahomes followed up his best fantasy performance of the season with an even better game. The former MVP passed for three touchdowns for the first time this season. Mahomes also finished a game without an interception for the first time this season. The addition of DeAndre Hopkins gave Mahomes another reliable outlet to turn to, and he did not disappoint. Mahomes picked up an ankle injury on a touchdown pass to Samaje Perine in the fourth quarter and required assistance on the sideline. It was officially reported as an ankle injury, but it was minor enough that he returned on the team's next drive. Given that he returned to the game, the injury will likely not cause Mahomes to miss any time, but the injury reports will be telling. That said, Mahomes will look to continue this strong run against the Denver Broncos in Week 10. The Broncos rank 10th in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks this season, so it will be a tough matchup. Nevertheless, the Chiefs quarterback has shown signs of improvement lately, and that strong play could continue into next week. Mahomes will likely find himself in the low-end QB1 range again for Week 10.

Nov 4 11:43pm CT

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes completed 34-of-44 passes for 291 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he added two runs for nine yards. He rolled his left ankle on a touchdown pass in the second half. 'I committed to running it and I saw (RB Samaje Perine) at the last second,' Mahomes said Monday, Nov. 4. 'It scared me a little bit. It ended up not too bad.'

Fantasy Spin: Mahomes was helped from the field, and he was unable to put any weight on the ankle initially. However, after treatment on the sidelined, he was able to jog on the sidelines, re-entering the game and finishing without incident. It appears Mahomes will be good to go for Week 10 against the Denver Broncos.

From TheHuddle

Nov 2 9:50pm CT

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 9 on Monday night. The Buccaneers rank 32nd in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, meaning Mahomes will have the most favorable matchup at the position this week. Mahomes is ranked as QB8 in our RotoBaller rankings this week, given the matchup. Coming off his best game of the season from a fantasy perspective, the Chiefs quarterback will look to build on that performance in a primetime matchup. The newest Chiefs receiver, DeAndre Hopkins, should be more involved in this contest, which bodes well for Mahomes' fantasy outlook. Mahomes has been very disappointing this season, scoring only 14 points per game in a four-point per passing touchdown league. Still, a favorable matchup and gifted pass catcher addition should be enough to make him a viable fantasy asset this week.

Nov 2 2:23pm CT

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) was a full participant in practice once again on Saturday, Nov. 2, and was removed from the Week 9 injury report.

Fantasy Spin: Mahomes has been very disappointing this season, but he's still the best quarterback on the planet and has a very favorable matchup against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that is very giving to signal-callers. He's a high-end QB2 with elite upside this week.

From TheHuddle

Nov 1 5:03pm CT

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) practiced in full once again on Friday, Nov. 1.

Fantasy Spin: There is no concern about Mahomes' status, although there is concern about the lackluster fantasy showing he's had this season. Through eight weeks, Mahomes ranks as QB20 overall in fantasy points per game. He is in a good bounce-back spot in Week 9, though, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been very giving to quarterbacks this season. Mahomes is a QB2 play.

Oct 31 7:03pm CT

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 31.

Fantasy Spin: Mahomes appears to be dealing with a minor injury and is not in danger of missing the Week 9 game. He has thrown only eight touchdowns so far this season but could still be a possible low-end No. 1 quarterback in some deeper leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 28 3:30am CT

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 27 of 38 pass attempts (71%) for 262 yards and two touchdowns in the 27-20 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. Mahomes also rushed six times for 17 yards in the contest. Mahomes threw at least one interception for the eighth straight regular season game. The Chiefs quarterback continues to lead the league in interceptions this season, with his total up to nine now. Mahomes put together his best game of the season from a fantasy perspective in the win over the Raiders. The Chiefs field general surpassed 17 fantasy points in a four-point per passing touchdown league for the first time this season. Mahomes will look to keep this momentum rolling into next week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs rank 31st in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks this season, making them one of the most favorable matchups for the position. However, with the loss of star wide receivers Chris Godwin and Mike Evans to injury, the Buccaneers offense may not provide the firepower needed to make this contest a shootout. Nevertheless, Tampa Bay sports a weak secondary, which Mahomes will have the opportunity to exploit in Week 9. Mahomes is still not in the must-start category amongst quarterbacks, but he could be trending in that direction if the Chiefs become more pass-heavy with the addition of DeAndre Hopkins.

From RotoBaller

Oct 28 3:03am CT

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes finished 27-of-38 for 262 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in Week 8 versus the Las Vegas Raiders. Mahomes also ran six times for an additional 17 yards.

Fantasy Spin: Mahomes has shockingly thrown an interception in every game this season. His two scores were a 5-yard shuttle pass to Travis Kelce and a 9-yarder to Xavier Worthy. Overall, it was one of his better performances in what has been a rough start to the year. He stands a good chance to have his best effort of the season in Week 9 against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that has surrendered four or more passing touchdowns in three of its last four contests.

From TheHuddle

Oct 26 3:20am CT

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 8. The Raiders were already a favorable matchup before trading Davante Adams to the New York Jets, but now they are an even less formidable opponent. Despite his team's undefeated record, Mahomes has been one of the most disappointing quarterbacks in fantasy football this season. Mahomes passed for 154 yards and zero passing touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7. The Chiefs quarterback did find the endzone on the ground but threw two more interceptions. I expect another underwhelming outing in this contest, considering the Raiders have a near-zero chance of making this game competitive. The Chiefs are nearly 10-point road favorites in this game, so we should see a heavy dose of Kareem Hunt on Sunday afternoon. The Chiefs should win this game easily, on the backs of their run game and defense, leaving Mahomes with less work. Mahomes is ranked QB11 in our RotoBaller rankings, but I suggest looking elsewhere.
