Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) said he felt "close" to being available for Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers. However, he was ruled out and is instead eyeing a Week 12 return. That timetable would give Evans an extra week to get healthy during the bye before suiting up against the New York Giants on November 24. Evans has been sidelined since Week 7, the same week Tampa Bay also lost Chris Godwin (ankle) to a season-ending injury. As a result, Tampa Bay's passing attack has been forced to funnel through players like Cade Otton, Trey Palmer, and Jalen McMillan (hamstring). Evans' return will give Tampa Bay a reliable top receiver once again.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 8, and has been ruled out for Week 10.
Fantasy Spin: There is no timetable for Evans' return, so fantasy players will need to keep an eye on the situation. Sterling Shepard and Trey Palmer likely will be the main receivers for the Bucs this week but both can be avoided in most leagues.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) will not suit up in Week 10, according to Greg Auman of Fox Sports. Evans has been sidelined since suffering an injury in their Week 7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and he will now miss his third straight contest. During this week, Evans was unable to participate in any practices. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status, as he should have a good chance to return in Week 12 to face the New York Giants after a bye in Week 11. Before the injury, the veteran wideout averaged 47.9 yards per game and scored six touchdowns across a seven-game sample size. This weekend, fantasy managers should expect tight end Cade Otton to see a heavy dose of targets, as rookie wideout Jalen McMillan (hamstring) will likely carry an injury designation.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) was ruled out for the Week 10 game against the San Francisco 49ers, head coach Todd Bowles said Friday, Nov. 8.
Fantasy Spin: Evans is expected to be out until at least through the Week 11 bye. It's best to avoid all Buccaneers wide receivers this week.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant in practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Evans was working off to the side with a trainer on Wednesday but he's just not ready to return in Week 10 to face the San Francisco 49ers and is fully expected to miss a third straight game. The Bucs are hoping the 31-year-old future Hall of Famer will be ready to roll in Week 12 after the Week 11 bye. Chris Godwin (ankle) is out for the year, and now Jalen McMillan (hamstring) and Sterling Shepard (hamstring, hip) are in danger of missing this Sunday after not practicing yet this week. Depending on the statuses of McMillan and Shepard for this weekend, Trey Palmer could act as the team's top wideout against the 49ers, with tight end Cade Otton being heavily targeted by quarterback Baker Mayfield (toe) yet again.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 7.
Fantasy Spin: It seems like Evans will not be available for the Week 10 game unless he makes significant progress over the next few days. Fantasy players should avoid Evans until he is able to participate in a few practices.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Fantasy Spin: Evans was expected to miss several weeks when he suffered the injury, so there is a chance he sits out again. Fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation but can count on Evans playing this week.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) is working off to the side with a trainer at practice on Wednesday, which is a good first step for him as he works to return following the team's Week 11 bye. Evans isn't going to be ready to return this weekend to face the San Francisco 49ers, but as long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks with his hammy, he appears to have a good shot at returning on Nov. 24 to face the New York Giants in Week 12. He's most likely going to be listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's practice. With Chris Godwin (ankle) also out for the rest of the season, tight end Cade Otton has been by far and away quarterback Baker Mayfield's favorite target through the air. Otton has had at least 10 targets the last three games and has combined for 25 catches, 258 yards and three touchdowns. He's now a must-start TE1 going forward.
From RotoBaller
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have declared WR Mike Evans, LB Antonio Grier, DE Jose Ramirez, TE Devin Culp, OG Royce Newman, DL Greg Gaines and WR Jalen McMillan inactive for Week 9.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) and DL Greg Gaines (calf) did not practice on Saturday, Nov. 2, and were ruled out for Week 9. Also, LS Evan Deckers (hamstring) practiced in full but was ruled out, RB Bucky Irving (toe), WR Jalen McMillan (hamstring), and WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring) were limited and are questionable, S Antoine Winfield Jr. (foot) did not practice but is questionable, S Tykee Smith (concussion) practiced in full but is questionable, OG Ben Bredeson (shoulder) and DL William Gholston (knee) did not practice but carry no designation and LB Lavonte David (ankle, chest) practiced in full and was removed from the injury report.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) did not practice once again on Saturday, Nov. 2, and was ruled out for Week 9.
Fantasy Spin: Evans is not expected to be back until after the bye. The Bucs have a full-blown injury epidemic at wide receiver, as now both Jalen McMillan and Sterling Shepard are dealing with injuries. You're best off avoiding Bucs receivers at all costs at this point.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 1.
Fantasy Spin: Evans may be facing an uphill battle because he is expected to miss multiple weeks because of the injury. Fantasy players can monitor the situation but may want to consider other options for their lineups this week.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 31.
Fantasy Spin: Evans was expected to miss multiple weeks because of the injury, so there is a good chance that he is not available for Week 9. Fantasy players should monitor the situation to see if anything changes but should look for other options because of Evans' uncertain status.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 25, and has been ruled out for Week 8.
Fantasy Spin: The Buccaneers will be without Evans and Chris Godwin, so Jalen McMillan, Trey Palmer and Sterling Shepard likely will be the main receivers in the passing game. McMillan probably has the most fantasy value among the three and can be a flex option in most fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) and S Tykee Smith (concussion) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 8 versus the Atlanta Falcons. DL Greg Gaines (calf) did not practice on Friday, Oct. 25, and has also been ruled out. RB Bucky Irving (toe) was upgraded to a limited practice on Friday and is listed as questionable. TE Payne Durham (calf) and WR Rakim Jarrett (knee) practiced in full on Friday but are also listed as questionable. DL William Gholston (knee) practiced in full on Friday and has been removed from the injury report.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) did not take part in practice for the second straight day on Thursday, Oct. 24.
Fantasy Spin: Evans is expected to be out through the Bucs' Week 11 bye, so his lack of practice participation isn't surprising. With Evans and Chris Godwin (ankle) on the shelf, the Bucs will be looking for Jalen McMillan, Trey Palmer and Sterling Shepard to step up, but none of them are suggested lineup options until we see how things shake out.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring), RB Bucky Irving (toe) and S Tykee Smith (concussion) did not practice on Thursday, Oct. 24. Also, TE Payne Durham (calf), DL Greg Gaines (calf) and DL William Gholston (knee) were limited and WR Rakim Jarrett (knee) practiced in full.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) underwent an MRI Wednesday that confirmed his "moderate" hamstring injury. According to the NFL's Ian Rapoport, Evans' diagnostic test affirmed the notion that he'd be sidelined until at least the team's Week 11 bye. It's a massive blow to Tampa Bay's offense, as they've also just lost fellow wideout Chris Godwin (ankle) for the remainder of the season after dislocating his ankle. With the Bucs down their top two pass-catchers, wide receivers Jalen McMillan, Sterling Shepherd, and Trey Palmer project to line up in three wide receiver sets. Additionally, tight end Cade Otton and running back Rachaad White should continue to see an increased role in Tampa Bay's passing attack. The team will host the visiting Atlanta Falcons this coming Sunday.
From RotoBaller
Updating previous reports, Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) had an MRI confirm the initial diagnosis, and he will be out four weeks. He's expected to return after the Week 11 bye.
Fantasy Spin: In the interim, Sterling Shepard should line up at the X receiver and be the short-yardage, PPR target. He should be picked up. Jalen McMillan and Trey Palmer will be deeper threats, and while they have more upside than Shepard, they are also unproven and more volatile flex candidates.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Payne Durham (calf), WR Mike Evans (hamstring) and S Tykee Smith (concussion) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 23. DE William Gholston (knee) was limited during practice, while WR Rakim Jarrett (knee) fully participated in practice. The Buccaneers did not hold a practice Wednesday, so the practice report is an estimation.
