No Playoff Match Up |
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins has thrown for 498 yards and seven touchdowns with no interceptions over his last two games, but in Week 10 the 36-year-old will take on the Saints, a team who held him to 238 yards passing, zero touchdowns, and one interception back in Week 4. That contest was at home, this one will be on their divisional foe's turf. Be that as it may, this time around the Saints will be without Paulson Adebo (leg), who led the team in tackles in that Week 4 matchup, and without 4x Pro Bowler Marshon Lattimore after he was traded to the Commanders this past week. If Drake London (hip) suits up, the Falcons will have a full complement of receivers. Working against Cousins is the fact that the Saints just allowed Carolina's Chuba Hubbard to run for 72 yards and two scores last week, so the run game may get a boost in this matchup. Nevertheless, the veteran signal caller projects as a back-end QB1 and is a viable bye week filler for Jordan Love and Geno Smith managers.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins completed 19-of-24 passes for 222 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys, and he ran four times for minus-11 yards with two fumbles and one lost.
Fantasy Spin: Cousins did a good job picking apart Dallas, and adjusting once Drake London left the game early due to an injury. The Falcons face the banged-up New Orleans Saints in Week 10, and he remains a solid low-end QB1 in fantasy leagues of 12 or fewer teams with or without London.
From TheHuddle
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins led his team to a 27-21 victory over the Cowboys on Sunday, completing 19 of 24 passes for 222 yards and three touchdowns without throwing an interception. The interceptions were somewhat of a problem earlier in the season, throwing seven of them over the Falcons' first seven games, but now has a 7:0 TD:INT over the last two contests. Averaging 234 yards passing per game on the season, the 36-year-old will get another favorable matchup in Week 10 versus the Saints who have lost six in a row and allowed no less than 23 points in each of those contests. As such, Cousins figures to be a borderline QB1/2 next Sunday.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins threw for 276 yards and four touchdowns last week against the Buccaneers and draws another favorable matchup in Week 9 versus the Cowboys who have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to the QB position. Atlanta typically leans pass-heavy, throwing almost 57% of the time, and with the Falcons as three-point home favorites with a relatively high expected total in this contest (48.5), it sets up for a good day for the 36-year-old signal-caller. Keep in mind, however, that outside of the two games against Tampa Bay, the veteran QB has posted only modest production in the six other contests, averaging 220 yards passing with a 6:6 TD:INT. Nevertheless, with 2x All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons still out and Dallas likely missing a couple of other key defensive pieces, Cousins projects as a low-end QB1 for Week 9.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta's QB Kirk Cousins scored an astounding 31.40 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 8 win in Tampa Bay. Cousins threw for 276 yards on 23-of-29 with four touchdowns.
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins enjoyed another big day versus Tampa Bay, completing 23 of 29 passes for 276 yards and four touchdowns without throwing a pick. The 36-year-old signal-caller even chipped in 16 yards on three carries. The veteran QB probably wishes he could face the Buccaneers every week, now with 785 yards and an 8:1 TD:INT in two games versus their divisional foe. He'll finish the week as a top-five QB for fantasy, however, the 13-year pro has been fairly pedestrian otherwise, averaging 220 yards per game with a 6:6 TD:INT, those two games versus the Bucs notwithstanding. Cousins will get a somewhat favorable matchup in Week 9 against the Cowboys and figures to be a QB2 with QB1 upside again.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins completed 23 of his 29 passes for 276 yards and four touchdowns in a 31-26 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8.
Fantasy Spin: It has been an interesting season for Cousins in terms of production. He now has a pair of four-touchdown games, but he has six touchdowns passes in the other six games combined, throwing one touchdown or less in five of those contests. Despite a couple big games, Cousins is best used as a QB2.
From TheHuddle
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins posted another lackluster performance in Week 7 despite facing an undermanned Seattle defense, finishing as QB23 for the week after throwing more interceptions (2) than touchdown passes (1) for the third time in seven games. Looking ahead to Week 8, the 36-year-old has a chance to get back on track against a Tampa Bay team that he faced in Week 5 and completed 42 of 58 pass attempts for 508 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. The Buccaneers have been vulnerable versus both the pass and the run this season, but are allowing 254.0 net pass YPG (fourth-worst) compared to 132.0 rush YPG (19th), and just yielded five touchdown passes to Lamar Jackson in Week 7. Without their top two receiving options, Tampa Bay could look to the ground game in this one, chewing up clock and limiting offensive opportunities for both teams more than they otherwise would have, so view the veteran quarterback as a volatile high end QB2 with QB1 upside in this matchup.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 24-of-35 passes for 232 yards and a touchdown but turned the ball over three times in a 34-14 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday. Two of the turnovers came via interception and the other was a fumble that turned into a scoop-and-score for the Seahawks. It was the fifth time in seven games that Cousins failed to record two or more touchdown passes and he now has seven picks in as many games. This was supposed to be a favorable matchup with a banged-up Seahawks secondary and Atlanta favored by three points, but instead, it was a lopsided affair that went in Seattle's favor. While it makes Cousins hard to trust as a weekly streaming option, the good news is that the 36-year-old gets the Buccaneers in Week 8, a team he threw for over 500 yards against with four TDs just a few weeks ago, so he'll get an opportunity to bounce back next week.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins completed 24-of-35 passes for 232 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 7 against the Seattle Seahawks, and he ran once for minus-1 yard.
Fantasy Spin: Cousins had that giant Week 5 showing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with 509 yards and four touchdowns, but he has one or no TD passes in five of his other six games, and he has 241 or fewer passing yards in six of seven games. Outside of that amazing TNF performance, he has mostly been a QB2 from a fantasy perspective. Good news, as the Falcons travel to meet the aforementioned Bucs in Week 8.
From TheHuddle
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins came back to Earth in Week 6, completing 19 passes for 225 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions on 30 attempts as the team went with more of a balanced attack. It marked the fourth time in six games that the 36-year-old threw for one TD or fewer, finishing outside the top 20 at the position for the week. Week 7's matchup with the Seahawks has shootout potential with 51 projected total points and the Falcons as only slim favorites on their home turf, which bodes well for the veteran signal caller's chances of putting up solid fantasy numbers, however, we should see more of a balanced attack again with Seattle looking particularly vulnerable against the run in recent weeks. Still, with the positive game script that is expected, the Michigan State product projects as a high-end QB2.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 19 of his 30 pass attempts in Sunday's 38-20 victory over the Panthers. The 36-year-old tallied 225 pass yards and threw just one touchdown pass, as it was the ground game that took over in this one with Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier combining for 200 yards rushing and three TDs. Outside of his monster Week 5 performance, the veteran QB has been fairly pedestrian for fantasy, with only two multi-touchdown performances in six games, while Sunday marked just the second time this season that he didn't throw an interception. Next week's potentially high-scoring home date with Seattle makes him a viable streaming option though, and assuming the offense keeps progressing he should be at least a high-end QB2 most weeks with upside.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins completed 19-of-30 passes for 225 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers, as the team leaned upon the run game for 198 yards.
Fantasy Spin: Cousins did what he needed to do, helping his real team to yet another win, although he didn't do much for fantasy managers. He should have more passing yardage and scores against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7, a team which has been susceptible to the big pass play.
From TheHuddle
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins is coming off a career game in Week 5 versus Tampa Bay in which he threw for 509 yards and four touchdowns (also one interception). Before that game, however, the 36-year-old had only one multi-touchdown-pass performance in four games, averaged just 216 yards per game, and threw four picks during that time. It would be unreasonable to expect another game like Week 5, but the Panthers' defense has been very susceptible through the air, allowing a league-high 11 passing TDs and is bottom-third in passing yards allowed. On the flip side, Carolina has been generous against the run as well and with Atlanta being six-point favorites, the Falcons may deploy a more balanced attack, potentially leaning on the run game late. Regardless, Cousins is a viable streaming option with high upside, and for those thinking ahead, he'll face the Buccaneers again in Week 8.
From RotoBaller
Falcons' QB Kirk Cousins scored an impressive 40.45 fantasy points in Thursday's Week 5 win against the Buccaneers. Cousins threw for 509 yards on 42-of-58 with four touchdowns and one interception.
Falcons' QB Kirk Cousins passed for an astonishing 509 yards on 42-of-58 with four touchdowns in Thursday's win against the Buccaneers.
Dynasty | Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 42-of-58 passes for 509 yards with four touchdowns and one interception in a win against Tampa Bay. Dynasty Analysis: With the Falcons seemingly playing catch-up most of the night, Cousins just started dealing. His first month was sub-par at best as he threw for around 800 yards and four touchdowns in his first four games. Thursday night was different as he nearly doubled his fantasy output in one night. We can hope this is a sign of things to come as he comes back from a season-ending injury, but we'll need to see a few more weeks before trusting him as a true QB1.
Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins connected on 42 of his 58 passes for a franchise-record 509 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 1 interception during an overtime win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, Oct. 3. Cousins was sacked four times.
Fantasy Spin: Uneven for most of the first four games, Cousins morphed into Kirko Chainz on Thursday night, lighting up an injury-depleted Buccaneers secondary for 509 yards, which included a game-tying drive in the final seconds and a game-winning drive on the first possession of overtime. Obviously, this was a once-in-a-lifetime type performance from Cousins, but just go back to his days in Minnesota to remind yourself that he'll have weeks where he tops 300 yards with multiple TDs. He remains a nice QB2 for fantasy owners, though anyone that had him active tonight most definitely LIKED THAT!
From TheHuddle
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 42 of 58 passes for 509 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception during Thursday's overtime win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Cousins was truly dominant, setting a single-game franchise record for passing yards while leading his team to a come-from-behind victory. The veteran quarterback seems to have adapted quite well ever since a shaky Week 1 showing at home. It was a historic fantasy performance for Cousins, and while we can't count on him to throw for 509 yards and four touchdowns every week, he certainly inspired much-needed confidence in managers. Equally important was his impact on Atlanta's pass-catchers. Drake London had one of the best games of his career, catching 12 of 13 targets for a whopping 154 yards and one touchdown. Kyle Pitts found his groove with seven catches for 88 yards. Darnell Mooney turned 16 targets into nine catches, 105 yards, and two touchdowns, and he would've likely scored a third had he not dropped a pass that hit him in the chest in the final quarter. The Falcons' offense is trending upward with one quarterback, two running backs, three receivers, and a tight end all on the fantasy radar heading into Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers.
From RotoBaller
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins will do what he can to improve his play when the Falcons take on the Tampa Buccaneers on Thursday night. Cousins has a 4:4 TD: INT ratio in 2024, so he's hardly earning the $180 million contract he signed in the offseason. Tampa Bay has allowed the sixth most points to opposing quarterbacks this year. However, the numbers can fool you as they've allowed just one passing touchdown, which is tied for the least amount in the league. The Bucs had to face quarterbacks Jayden Daniels and Jalen Hurts, and their rushing production accounted for a large portion of those points. Tampa Bay isn't an easy team to pass against, and with Cousins and the entire Falcons pass-catching corps being massively disappointing so far, it might be difficult for them to put together good drives consistently. Cousins isn't worth starting in single-quarterback leagues against the Bucs in Week 5. He has no rushing upside, has mediocre production, and is facing a formidable defense against the pass.
